He has beaten the odds by graduating from college and pushing the bullshit aside to not be another statistic in the ever-growing demise of the culture of which he was raised. His rap career push in 2010 was the equivalent to what you would see in new Orleans with Master P sadly it was in Nashville where is gained only so much attention.  I have Know Jelly Roll for long time, though I wasn't there for the beginning of his career I did share in the time of his musical turn around. He went from traphouse battle rapper to an evolved song writer with pain, passion, and soul radiating out of his craft of music. I'm confident in saying he is the most successful independent rapper to ever come out of Nashville. Not to say that his success wasn't built on anything but failures, life lessons, trial and error. Jelly Roll dreamed all this and it came true, his story is an amazing journey. Coming from a kid who's life started to take a very bad turn he realized and found something that would forever change his life path...Hip Hop. His (Jelly Roll) music has come so far, from freestyle battles to real life battles. Yes / Thank you to Jelly Roll for always taking a chance on me. You have came this far in music, I have came this far in documenting  together we are here.

He is truly a gifted individual with a passion for music and culture. Shon P. is also the single most gifted rappers I have ever met but probably won't share that era of his life with you.
