Dom is a terrific fly tier and his story is compelling. When he was much younger he had a brain tumor and part of his recovery left him with some tremors in his hand. Fly Tying was just the answer to learn his dexterity. Little did he know that years later after the kids grew up a bit and he had some free time again, he would re-visit fly tying and become what I believe is a world renowned fly tyer. The Florida Keys are a chain of islands that are over 100 miles long. They start about 17 miles from Miami and extend to almost 90 miles from Cuba at its southern most point. I love the keys and I love everything around them; meaning the backcountry. Once you have seen the back country of the Florida Keys, you will realize that the islands are really just a road to get there. The real adventure is on the water.
