Putting Things Back In Order

Putting Things Back In Order

Today I want to talk to you men about putting things in order… A season of constant negative stress Is a sign that Something Is Out Of Order… It doesn’t mean it's all your fault or that you are the one to fix it fully, but it is an indication that something is out of order. And just like a flashing warning sign on the dashboard of your car, to ignore it or cover it is foolish. At some point, you have to do what is necessary to deal with it and get it fixed.

And Until You Stop Rationalizing, You'll Never Win In Life… This podcast is about encouraging and equipping men to win in life. We weren’t called to lose. It's in our DNA to win and to obtain the victory that is rightfully ours.

I need to address this today and share some things in hopes that God made grab your attention and wake you up.

It takes a lot to get a man’s attention when disengaged or distracted. You see it all through the bible God is trying to get man’s attention and having to go to great lengths to do so…

If You Do Not Like What You See In Your Life, You Are Responsible for changing what you can... It begins with you…

It’s Your Decision Decide Your Pain, Your Favor, Your Life… You can’t continue to blame outside circumstances… It begins with you and I making hard decisions to turn our lives around and to put things back in order when they are not…

In order to put things back in order, 3 things need to happen before you even start…

1. You MUST Want To Change.

2. You Must Be WILLING To Change.

3. You Must be willing to PAY THE PRICE To Change.
Men search your life for those things out of order…

Where do you begin? At the top…

Your relationship with God.
Next… if you married, your relationship with your spouse…
Next… Your character and who are becoming…
Next… the calls on your life… father, brother, employee, employer, part of the body of Christ, giver, etc….
Ps. 141:5
Let the righteous smite me in lovingkindness and reprove me; it is oil upon my head; let not my head refuse it. For still my prayer is against their evil deeds…

Prov. 9:8-9
Do not reprove a scoffer lest he hates you… Reprove a wise man, and he will love you…

God wants to develop all of us. He will reprove, correct and prune in order that we bear more fruit. Just when I thought the pruning season of my life was over, I must go another round.

I want to close by sharing this…

Who You Listen To Is One of The Most Important Decisions You Will Ever Make…

Listen = To Hear With The Intent To Do…

Prov. 1:8 (Nlt) Listen, My Child, To What Your Father Teaches You. Don’t Neglect Your Mother’s Teaching.

Prov. 1:23 (Nlt) Come Here And Listen To Me! I’ll Pour Out The Spirit Of Wisdom Upon You And Make You Wise.

Prov. 1:33 (Nlt) But All Who Listen To Me Will Live In Peace And Safety, Unafraid Of Harm.”

Prov. 2:1 (Nlt) My Child, Listen To Me And Treasure My Instructions.

As a young man, as we often do, I listened to my friend…
• It Was A Friend Who Led Me To Pornography…

• It Was My Friends That Led Me To Cheat…

• It Was My Friends That Led Me To Listen Too Hard Core Rap Music…

• It Was My Friends That Led Me To Lie To My Parents…

• It Was My Friends That Led Me To Goof Off In Class…

• It Was My Friends That Led Me To Parties Against My Parents Will…

• It Was My Friends That Led Me To Date When I Had No Intention Of Marrying…

And now… as an older mature man. I will listen to those who are wiser than me.. and I encourage you to do so as well…

Listen To the Men Who Want You To Succeed…

Listen To A Man Who Cares About Your Future… He’ll Help You Avoid Pain…

Listen To Those Who Are Excited About Your Dreams, Your Goals, Your Plans…

Most likely…
If You Fail, It’ll Be Because You
Refused To Listen To wise Counsel…

Every Person Who Has Failed, Listened To A Wrong Voice…

Every Person Who Has Succeed Simply Listened To The Right Voice…

Listen To People Who Have A Track Record Of Right Decisions…

And here is what God is asking me, and maybe He is asking you…. Justin….
1. Will you TRU

The 5 Things Every Man Needs From His Friends

The 5 Things Every Man Needs From His Friends

Men were never meant to be isolated. We were meant to be connected to a tribe of other men in some form or fashion. If you are going to succeed and become a better man please don’t overlook this powerful truth. You need a tribe to get you there. And I’ll tell you why – We were built to feed off of others faith, encouragement and love.
I’m telling you, If find your tribe and by that I mean find the men in your life that walk with you through every storm, men you can be vulnerable with and men you connect with on a spiritual level you’ll always find you way to the top and you’ll overcome any challenge you face.
Without a tribe the journey become all the more harder.

Remember this…
Not everyone in your life was placed there by God. Some individuals are actually on assignment by hell to ruin your life.

One of the most important choices you ever make is who you run with. if you want to win in your future Let go of those who are holding you back! Its not easy but it is necessary.

Take time to evaluate the people with whom you spend time and decide whether their influence on you is positive or negative. I have listed some questions you can ask to better identify your relationships.

· Are they going somewhere?
· Do you want to go where they are going?
· Do they encourage you to seek God or seek pleasure?
· Do they challenge you to be a better man?
· Do they tell you the truth sugar coat things to make you feel better?
· Do they constantly complain as a victim or are they grateful like a champion?
· Are they wasting their life?
· Who do they hang with?
· Are they where you want to be?

Many times the only link between you and your past is those whom you call friend. After you have gone through these questions and realize there are some folks holding you back, you can do something about it.

I recenty was talking with a man who just got out of jail and he was telling me that most guys that get out go back into the same old ways simply because they get around the wrong people.

I’ve hear men say “I don’t want to do this or that anymore.” Yet they continue to associate with wrong tribe. This temptation leads to action, and their action brings them right back to their old way of living.

Remember Solomon said these words, He who walks with wise men will become wise. Walking is different than just being around. Walking with means connection, bonding, sharpening one another.

It is important to Surround yourself with people who are positive. People who are going somewhere with their life.

If you are around negative people all the time its only a matter of time before you become negative, too.

Like the saying says, Birds of a feather flock together.

Personal development expert, Jim Rohn, in his one year success workbook says, “You must constantly ask yourself these questions:
Who am I around?
What are they doing to me?
What have they got me reading?
What have they got me saying?
Where do they have me going?
What do they have me thinking?
And most important, what do they have me becoming?

Then ask yourself the big question: Is that okay?

Fellas, Your life does not get better by chance, it gets better by change.”

The most effective way I know how to separate myself from the wrong individuals is to pursue becoming a better man. You do this by adopting new values, tenets and goals. When you pursue excellence, improvement and character development you’ll start attracting the right people into your world.

We all have a desire within us to be accepted. Nobody likes to be rejected. Hence, we have accepted the wrong people and entered relationships simply because they were willing to accept us as we are. This fear of rejection has been the author of countless damaging relationships. Negative people have accessed our lives, only to hurt us in the end.

If you want to have a successful and purposeful life, you must fight the constant pressure of negative

5 Ways To Develop A Positive Mental Attitude

5 Ways To Develop A Positive Mental Attitude

In today’s episode, we will talk about the importance of developing a positive mental attitude. I will share 5 ways to remain positive no matter the circumstance you face. We answer the question of how you refocus the mind and so much more. Let’s dive in and explore this topic together.

Welcome to episode #6 -  this podcast is for men who desire to become better men. I hope to provide tools and pathways to improving your life, mindset and legacy.

The last episode I shared a few tips to help you plan how to WIN in life. No one wins on accident. If you are going to win the game of life, you will do it because you became a man of purpose and intention.

Today I want to talk about something so important. The power of attitude and possessing a positive mental attitude towards life.

I can’t express enough how this simple character trait contributes the most to the success any man will achieve in life.

If you want to go beyond your present successes and go out beyond your potential curve, take a close personal look at your attitude.

A positive mental attitude must be developed. It begins with a choice to see the good in every situation and to appreciate every day as though it may be your last.

This mental attitude is a result of a life dedicated to self-improvement and genuine service to others.

Committing to be your best and do your best today frees you from concern about difficult situations you will encounter tomorrow.

It’s the willingness to go the extra mile and refuse any negative self-limiting thought to be entertained in your mind.

If you commit to being the best version of yourself and offer above-and beyond-service to those you interact with, You can be confident that good things will happen and be equally confident that if trouble comes your way, you will have the mental wherewithal to overcome it.

This takes effort, and it takes diligence, but it also acts as a protective shield against self-limiting doubts.

Therefore, accepting personal responsibility for your life is the foundation for cultivating a positive attitude. It is why I harp on responsibility so much.

Putting an end to the blame, excuses and justification are crucial.

How many people do you know who blame their attitude on others or on what kind of day it is?

My attitude has nothing to do with other people. Nothing at all!

Men, we must refuse to make the false claim that someone else made us feel a certain way or made us react a certain way or made us do this or do that.

It is not what has been done to you that defines who you are, but how you respond to others that defines you. That molds you into the man you are.

Your attitude is not based on circumstances, past limitations, or what others do or don’t do.

No one but you is responsible for the choices and reactions you make today.

If you put your mind to work with a positive mental attitude and believe you will build a great life, your belief will guide you to your desired end.

If you fill your mind with fear, dread, frustration, and negativity, you will attract those things to you. Your attitude is magnetic. It will attract into your life whether negative or positive.

You are not at the mercy of another or at the mercy of some adverse circumstance.

You are in charge of your attitude.

Regardless of what you go through, you are the one who determines your mental state—positive or negative.

No matter where you were yesterday or how negative you have been in the past, you CAN change.

4 Tips To Help You Plan To Win In Life

4 Tips To Help You Plan To Win In Life

In today’s episode, we are going to talk about the 3 d’s every man faces on his journey, and I am going to share 4 tips with you on how you can Plan TO WIN IN LIFE. You were built to win, but without a plan, we are destined to fail. Let’s jump in!

This podcast is specifically designed for men who want to become better men.

Which I assume is true about you.

So today, Let's talk about planning to win in life.

In our last episode, we spoke about TAKING CHARGE OF YOUR LIFE.

You do that by living with intention, purpose, and drive.

You take control of your life by setting targets to aim for.

It doesn’t mean God Is not in Charge. I like to say it like this to help people understand God’s role in our daily lives.

So let me ask you a personal question… Do you have the PLAN to win in life?

I don’t mean do you have your life mapped out, but do you have an idea in plan form how you will win as a man?

Paul in the Bible tells us to run in such a way that we may win the prize.

We are not in this to just merely to exist.

Certainly Not, we are men with a purpose who live on purpose and want to win the game of life. That’s who we are.

Will we always get it right? Nope.

Will we always be on top? Nope

We will fight to live another day and

fight for the vision within our hearts and

fight for our families. That’s what champion men do.

So do you have the plan to win in life?

Do you plan to win with your health?

Do you have the plan to win the battle of your mind?

Do you have the plan to win as a father? And maybe as a husband?

Life is the same. Having a plan is important, but no matter who you are you will face the 3 d’s…. disappointments, delays, and detours.

No one here is exempt.

Disappointments – things that happened that I didn’t expect and didn’t want to happen

Delays – when I am ready for God to answer, but God is taking His precious time.

Detours – I planned to go this way, but God is taking me this way.

All great achievements were preceded and accompanied by a plan, carefully designed and thought out with an end in mind. Without such a plan, dreams tend to die and never become a reality.

You may ask, “How do I put together this plan to become a better man?” Let me give you a few tips to help you get started.

There is no perfect time to start to plan to win in life. But the Best time is today…

You have the resources at your disposal. You know what you need to do. You know what fears are holding you back. Take action.

I believe in you. I know you have what it takes. Go for it. When you fail, get back up and go another round. YOu got this.

Thank you for listening. This is justin Kane of the bettermen podcast… I post every Monday and Thursday. God bless!

Take Charge Of Your Life

Take Charge Of Your Life

In today’s episode, we are going to talk about taking charge of your life and what it takes to become a better man. We will discuss the power of choice, sowing and reaping, and eliminating excuses from your life. You will leave inspired to take action and continue your journey of becoming a better man!

Let me remind you that you are not a man by accident. You were created with a purpose and intention by a God who knows you better than you know yourself.

You have what it takes to succeed in life in all areas.

Sure, there will be challenges and setbacks along the way, but with the right tools and the right spirit, you can become a man that makes a great impact on this world and the people around you.

All successful people have one thing in common – they possess a long-term perspective.

They live life knowing their present actions will determine or create their future experiences.

They have a sense of where they’re heading and have a plan to get there..

God gave you your life. What will you bring back to Him at the end of it? That’s up to you. Although Jesus is your Lord, this doesn’t mean He makes all your decisions for you. He won’t tell you how much to pray, how much to give above your tithe, what books to read, how much education to attain, what relationships to have, or how to distribute your time. He allows you the privilege of making what I will call an “executive” decision. Why? Because you are a steward over your life. God gives you guidelines and specific instructions at times, but the majority of your decisions are yours to make.

If Anything In My Life Is To Change, It Begins With Me.

So it must be with you. Thankfully, success and failure are predictable. They follow the natural law of sowing and reaping. The law simply states that for every seed you sow there is a proportionate harvest.

If you want to reap more rewards, you must sow more service, contribution, and value. Remember, a seed of nothing produces a season of nothing.

One of the great enemies of personal success and continued progress is a refusal to take responsibility.

This is why I address the 4 responsibilities of manhood.

Condition of heart

Management of mind

Investment of time

Relationship with God

Take personal inventory

· Do I make excuses?

· Do I blame others for my mistakes?

· Am I not as far as I should be because of something else outside of my control?

· Do I believe others holding me back?

Winston Churchill said, “Responsibility is the price of greatness.”

Every Man Has To Face It, But Few Men Overcome It - DISCOURAGEMENT

Every Man Has To Face It, But Few Men Overcome It - DISCOURAGEMENT

This is a podcast for men who want to become better men. I take my time to craft content that would be helpful to you as a man and also give you the tools that I personally use to grow myself as a man.

If we aren’t growing, it’s because we aren’t doing the hard work. The #1 tenet I live by is DO THE HARD WORK ON SELF.

There is no time for making excuses and placing blame. If you don’t like where you are in life, you can change it by growing yourself.

We can’t complain about what we tolerate.

First, we are responsible for…

The condition of Our Heart…

The 2nd responsibility is The management of Our Mind…

The third responsibility is The investment of Our Time…

And fourth, The Pursuit of Our Relationship with God…

You become what you think about the most.

Thoughts matter.
A series of the same thoughts consecutively matter even more.

consecutive thoughts mixed with faith and desire matter even more.

Fellas, What are you planting in your mind?  I mean intentionally? To be honest, most men listening to this are not intentional about what they plant in their mind. They are simply living life and responding to whatever comes their way.

We were not created to EXIST through this life.

Men are not robots who go to work, take care of fam, veg out on tv and then repeat it the next day.

No. Men are meant to experience

This is why you are responsible for the management of your mind. You must give attention to it, protect it,

realize it can destroy you or it can grow and strengthen you.

Your Mind like soil receiving seed, good or bad, right or wrong will harvest it.

So, it is important that you renew and train your Mind.

If you can learn to manage your Mind, you can change your life, and as a result, You can change who you become.

2 Questions that activate DESIRE, DRIVE & DETERMINATION in your life

2 Questions that activate DESIRE, DRIVE & DETERMINATION in your life

The BETTERMEN podcast is for men who desire to become better men.

As I mentioned in episode 1, we talked about the four responsibilities of manhood… Certainly, there are more than four, but these four are foundational to us being the men God called us to be.

First, we are responsible for…

The condition of Our Heart… Above all else, guard your heart

What is God looking for? I believe He is looking for a Soft Heart… Not a perfect one, but a soft one…

The 2nd responsibility is The management of Our Mind… like a garden

We will dive more into this specific one today…

The third, The investment of Our Time… we all only get 24 hours

The Pursuit of Our Relationship with God…

We won’t get to the second one in this episode, but I will make sure to cover it soon in a future episode, possibly #3 or #4.

I think today it is important to address what it takes to become BETTER and what is holding us back from doing so.

To become a better man, it will require personal change.

I think we all know that.

This is why I say,

True Manhood comes down to personal leadership with an emphasis on honesty, duty, and sacrifice.

Champion men take responsibility for their attitudes, behaviors, and reactions.

Men who tend to lose in life place blame, make excuses and justify their poor actions, AND as a result… they wander and ultimately settle in life, never reaching their potential.

There is no self-growth without personal change. If you want to see growth in any area, it will require you to make a few changes and constant adjustments along the way.

Fellas, you don’t have to settle for anything less than being a great man. I don’t care who you are or where you come from. You don’t have to settle.

I believe you are listening to this podcast because you have the desire to change.

Am I right?

But sadly, we can’t wish or pray ourselves into a new and better man.

We all wish we could, but it doesn’t work like that. There is no magic pill, just us doing the hard work on ourselves.

For some, the desire is there, but the results year after year are the same.

No change.

Or should I say, no significant change!

After working with men for many years, I have discovered that the core problem is not just a lack of discipline or laziness. Our core issue is motivation.

I am talking about

A Burning Desire.

A Relentless Drive.

A Dogged Determination.

That is the essence of Motivation.

The 4 Responsibilities Of Manhood

The 4 Responsibilities Of Manhood

This podcast is ALL about empowering men like you to take back your manhood, find and regain your confidence and provide you with the practical tools to shatter the limits and break the barriers in your life.

Becoming a BETTER man doesn’t happen overnight. It does begin with a decision, but it takes time to see the changes you want to see.

I tell every man I help, ONE key step you must take (there are 7 altogether), but I want to highlight in this episode is…

Regarding responsibility, there are four areas we as men are responsible for… Certainly, there are more than four, but these four are foundational to us being the men God called us to be.

True Manhood comes down to personal leadership with an emphasis on honesty, duty, and sacrifice.

***Not money, rank, or domination. (*If you insist on being the leader, you usually aren’t)

Champion men are men who take responsibility for their attitudes, behaviors, and reactions.

Men who tend to lose in life place blame, make excuses and justify their poor actions, AND as a result… they wander and ultimately settle in life, never reaching their potential.
