Today, I'm breaking down the potential candidates for the GOAT TV Show. I give some background, talk about why certain shows can't be the best and then give you my pick as the winner along with the top 4. This topic sparks a lot of debate. If you think I'm an idiot, let me know. Tell me what I missed. Tell me why my pick was spot on! Bring it on!

I have admired Michael for awhile. He makes incredibly engaging content and is humble and self deprecating, a rarity in the marketing space. He openly shares how he continues to help his clients improve their engagement and make better content. Spoiler alert, it's not to get a certain type of camera. I learned a lot about how to make better content from our conversation and I hope it helps you too. If you are interested in making better content, this is a must listen.

Jacob is an old friend and currently works for the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce. He has been helping people improve their leadership skills for nearly a decade. He also has built a 20K plus Twitter following organically. He is a thoughtful and skilled communicator. We breakdown some of his thoughts on leadership and how he grew his social media presence. Today's guest is the senior pastor at Creekside Bible Church. We have been friends for probably 20 years, but haven't talked in a long time. We reminisce, talk about his experience leading a church, and discuss the merits of Cobra Kai. My friend Brendon and I cover a bunch of topics. We are all over the place. It was supposed to be a podcast mostly where we argue over our all time NBA teams. I had a chance to talk to Miranda last week. We talked about all things Covid, from her experiences at the beginning of the pandemic, to the vaccine roll out. Today's guest is Reilly Leaton. He is a computer wizard and has recently started his own business. He helps anyone to develop a computer build on a budget that makes sense for them. Max and I are back. We talk about the NBA Bubble, books and TV shows we're consuming during the pandemic. We spend a lot of time discussing nasal breathing and the health benefits of mouth taping at night. The podcast has been on a little break. My producer was moving, and then had some equipment issues. And, I've made a commitment to be better about taking care of my health so I've been filling my time with swimming laps and changing eating habits. So, to the Day1's out there, my bad. And, I recorded this episode weeks ago. I think it was really close to the George Floyd murder. We spend a good deal of time talking about the current state of the US. I've been friends with Bryan for about 15 years. I have watched him grow and develop into an amazing human. He is a life long learner and seeks to do his very best at everything he does. Whether its Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, BBQing, helping people move better, or rescuing dogs, Bryan always tries to be the best he can at it. He takes no shortcuts and is an extremely hard worker. Not only. that he is friendly, and humble and always encouraging. I'm glad you get to hear from my friend, Bryan Marugg! We spend probably a little too much time talking about chickens and rescue dogs, but hey it's a conversation between two friends.

My friend, Matt Espinoza (@salemhoopsproject) and I talked about our impressions of the first 4 episodes. Hes a hoop head and really loves the game. I'm a faker, but I thought we had a good discussion about the Michael Jordan docu-series everyone is watching because of the quarantine. I'll admit, I was a Magic Johnson guy, but this doc is soooo good. If you haven't been watching, get caught up. Even if you're not a basketball fan, it's worth the watch. Jacob and I have known each other for years. But, this was the first time we've been able to collaborate professionally. We had an awesome time talking about what matters in organizations, how to figure out what you really want in life and a number of other topics. Matt and I have been friends for 20 years. He is a talented designer with shrewd business insights. This is a different kind of episode. I have been wanting to talk about mental health for awhile. Braden and I haveo had numerous conversations about this over the last few years so he seemed like the perfect guest to have on to talk about mental health and our personal struggles with depression and anxiety.
