In this two-part episode of LambTaLKS, Sara and Letitia welcome Starlin Haydon-Greatting, MS-MPH, BSPharm, CDM, FAPhA. Starlin practiced in health system pharmacy for 10 years then transitioned to serve as the Director of Quality Assurance and Drug Utilization for Illinois Medicaid for 17 years. As a pharmacist who specializes in pharmacoepidemiology, she has over 26 years of experience in the field of health care outcomes research and drug-use analysis. This episode focuses on calling public attention to the dedication of pharmacists to the profession and the advancement of knowledge in health sciences.

Oftentimes as women in pharmacy, we feel we are locked in our jobs once we start working. Many of us have dreams to travel, but often we let them stay as dreams. Sara and Justine talk with Jessica (Jessi) Crowley, PharmD, RPh to tell us otherwise - you can see the world and come back to your career as a pharmacist. Jessi is a community pharmacist in Los Angeles, California. She provides insight into practicing in a state where a pharmacist has an expanded role, and some antics she has encountered while practicing in the City of Angels. Jessi attended pharmacy school at MCPHS in Boston where she joined LKS Alpha Chapter and served as Vice President. You may recognize Jessi because she served as a panelist during the Diversity and Inclusion Panel at LKS Virtual Convention 2020. She shares great wisdom in all realms, and we are grateful to have her on the show!

In this special BONUS episode of LambTaLKS, Justine and Sara welcome Dr. Carrie Molesa to continue the discussion about COVID-19 and how it has affected healthcare providers and their patients. Dr. Molesa is a clinical pharmacist specialist at an acute care hospital in Detroit, MI. Dr. Molesa is in charge of 2 very large adult internal medicine units and is also involved with the adult cystic fibrosis population in Michigan. Working in Detroit, currently one of the largest hot-spots for COVID-19 outbreaks in the United States, Dr. Molesa discusses her experience working on the front lines as a healthcare provider during these last few months.

In this episode of LambTaLKS, Justine and Sara welcome Dr. Nicole Pezzino. Dr. Pezzino is the Director of Community Outreach and Innovation at Wilkes University. She is Board Certified in Ambulatory Care Pharmacy (BCACP) and a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE). She has an American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE) accredited Diabetes Self-Management Educating/Training (DSME/T) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) accredited Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) practice site at Weis Markets in Schnecksville, PA. Dr. Pezzino also has her laboratory license where she is able to perform point-of-care testing in the community setting. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh and completed post-graduate residency training at the University of North Carolina, Eshelman School of Pharmacy. Nicole joined Lambda Kappa Sigma Delta Chapter in 2010 and is currently the Chapter Advisor for Alpha Phi Chapter.
