Topic: Defining Culture 

Episode 3 features a session from a course I taught last month at Christ Chapel Bible Church entitled 'Culture and the Christian Worldview' (Session 3)

We will explore and answer these two questions…

1. What is culture?

2. What does the Bible tell us about culture?

Defining Culture is important. We’re using the same WORDS but different DICTIONARIES. Same words but different meanings. Language is how we describe reality.

Culture is what humans make of the world. (Andy Crouch) Culture is the product of human activity… In other words, everything humans think, say, or do produces what we call culture. We cultivate the world around us through every interaction with other humans and the world. God imprints His divine personality upon creation. Culture is embedded in God’s story of creation… The fact that God gave us a STORY is the central, significant and the center cultural reality.

Topic: "Cancelling Women and Girls"  A discussion about the culture's direct attack on human females, the denial of reality and truth, and the pathologies that contribute to the objectification, exploitation and violence against women and girls. We cover the prevalence of psychological self-expression based on individual emotion, forced acceptance of identity by society, the obliteration of mediating institutions, virtue signaling and where this takes us if we don't put a stop to these trends. Then, we formulate an initial response using practical actions and real world solutions in order to recover a biblical vision of what it means to be woman (and a man).
