I Am Responsible For...
My Good School Season 11 Episode 5
I am responsible for many things. These words give me a sense of pride and responsibility towards my work, family, and society. Every right has responsibilities, and responsibility is a duty we must accomplish on time. Everyone has their responsibilities and duties. Responsibility means being dependable, making good choices, and taking accountability for your actions.
I've been a responsible girl since my childhood. I had a few responsibilities as a daughter, family member and student. One of my primary responsibilities was learning and studying. I have consistently performed to the best in academics and secured first rank in my class every year. Another responsibility was obeying and respecting my parents, family, teachers, and elders. Also, I kept my things safe as the things I owned were precious and gave me a feeling of ownership.
Since the birth of my younger brother, things have changed. I had got some more responsibilities. I had to help my parents to bring up my younger brother and cope with my studies. Although adapting to the situation was difficult, I sacrificed and compromised a few things for my parents and brother. Later, everything became easy, and I got used to them. Over the years, I learnt to look after myself and decide the right choices in life. Still, responsibilities give me an incredible feeling of joy and teach me many valuable lessons in life, and obviously, I shall and will fulfil my responsibilities.
Responsibility is an essential virtue of an individual as it gains a person's trust. It teaches you to do multitasking and gives you satisfaction and happiness. It provides a sense of purpose and builds resilience amidst adversity on an individual and societal level.
In conclusion, accomplishing your tasks and responsibilities gives you a sense of maturity, happiness, and great joy as you feel you have completed a task on time. "Where there is great power and energy, there is great responsibility." Let's all be responsible for accomplishing what we have committed!

My Passing Out Speech At School

Meet and Greet with Nirmal Ghosh
Learning Forward Podcast Season 10 Episode 15
Nature has its way of calling upon us, but we often ignore those rare signs. We build homes in seclusion away from the abode of wildlife and nature; when we can live peacefully together, why are we so adamant about living apart? Consider this beautiful conversation where Nirmal Ghosh deciphers his book, ‘Blue Sky, White Cloud: Three Novellas’. Our anthropocentric behaviour has indeed broken the typical bond of friendship between nature and us. Learn and reinforce to reconnect with our roots.
Nirmal Ghosh - Author of ‘Blue Sky, White Cloud: Three Novellas.’
Anvesha Rana - Host from Gyanshree School
Rishona Chopra and Sandeep Dutt join in as guests.
There was a lot to learn, and there is now a lot to reinforce, but the lifeline remains that beauty lies in simplicity; we might try to complex situations, but deep down, we are all the same man who used to live with nature to now the man who has built homes in seclusion away from the abode of wildlife and nature.
We are the only species with the power to share our feelings with the world, and we should use this power wisely.
Nirmal addresses some interesting questions:
It is vital to write about what we know simply for authenticity, so what was your process of writing these three novellas, what set off that spark, and how did you go about it?
What do you believe is the key to establishing a relationship with our environment, and how did you do it?
Blue Sky White Cloud is a heart-touching tale that echoes a powerful message of empathy and compassion. Amidst all you do, sir, how do you continue fostering your passion for writing?
Talking about ‘Blue Sky, White Cloud’ is a compilation of three novellas. A novella is a short novel, and this tale revolves around the lives of three distinct animals who live in varying geographies and current independent views. Still, somehow deep down, they are all interconnected.
There is more; this is a heart-warming podcast filled with empathy for nature, real life-changing moments and how humans must learn to respect nature.

Trust @ My Good School
My Good School Season 9 Episode 15. If you want to be trusted, be honest. If you want to be honest, be true. If you want to be trusted, be yourself. Trust is the purest of values, the most beautiful of bonds and the deepest of connections. We all are here because we have the power to trust, we are here because we can sustain being trusted, and we are here to spread Trust among others. Trust is the best proof of love; it is an invisible thread which connects us all. It takes years to build, seconds to break, and forever to repair. Treasure it. Trust is the most beautiful when witnessed; it combines every value we know love, respect, friendship and much more.
Trusting others is the very essence of any human relationship. We can't be friends if we don't trust, we can't be partners if we don't trust, we can't be students if we don't trust, and likewise, we can't be human if we don't trust. Trust is to give away a part of yourself to someone else and believes that they will keep it safe.
At My Good School, we continue happily simply because we trust each other; we have faith in one another that each of us is special and unique, and the My Good School Retreat 2023 experience has further deepened this bond of Trust. So Trust is the foundation of love.
Join Anvesha and Simar in this beautiful conversation where Rishona and Oshi share their take on Trust.

Thoughtfulness @ My Good School
As we express gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words but to live by them. Thinking about others and ourselves is vital; thinking twice before an important decision and letting others know you are always there is Thoughtfulness. Join Anvesha and Simar as they explore Thoughtfulness and dive into this beautiful conversation where Rishona expresses her take on being thoughtful.
Anvesha Rana and Simar Kaur - Hosts from Gyanshree School
Rishona Chopra- Guest from Gyanshree School
Anvesha: We welcome you to My Good School Show Season 9, Episode 13, where passion meets education. I am Anvesha
Simar: I am Simar, and we will be your hosts for the event. We have Rishona here with us today to share her take on Thoughtfulness.
Anvesha: To be mindful about our activities and compassionate and empathetic about others is our Thoughtfulness.
Simar: Yes indeed, now let us invite Rishona here. Rishona, what are some instances where you have been thoughtful?
Rishona: Thoughtfulness is when a thought comes to you to care for someone. Just simply that thought creates Understanding. An instance where I can remember being thoughtful is when one of the students fell during a race at a school. I noticed no one was helping her and was too busy winning the race. At first, I didn't see it either. I thought the students around her would help, but when no one did, I went up and helped her stand up. But although I helped her up, I didn't wait any minute longer and just ran to continue the race, which I think is selfish. Deep inside, I, too, was concerned about winning the race. I need to improve this in myself, overcome my desire for selfishness, and learn to be selfless. Thoughtfulness should not come to show someone that you have done something but should come from the heart.
Simar: Thank you, Rishona; you are indeed one of the most thoughtful people we have met, and being considerate is indeed the moment's need.
Anvesha: With that, we come to the end of our podcast. Comment below and let us know if you liked our podcast. If you want to be a part of similar podcasts, join us. We hope to meet you again soon when we return with a podcast on Tolerance next month. That's all for us today.

Simar: And I am Simar and we will be your hosts for the event. We have Reveda here with us today to share her take on Simplicity
Anvesha : Those who live life with deep understanding, live life with Simplicity. It lies inside all of us, unshaken, untouched under all the extravagance that we live in, we often forget the lifeline, Simplicity. Reveda, what does simplicity mean to you and why should others live by it ?
Reveda: Simplicity is the idea of being down to earth even after having ample materialistic things like money and fame, both of which some people use as keys to the "Door of Domination." What it means to me is to keep your wings closed to stay on the ground even when you can fly above the clouds, flattering them all the way through.
Simar: Thank you Reveda, Simplicity is indeed very vital for our lives.

The Great Tribal Warriors of Bharat
Rupa Publications India
Authors: Tuhin A. Sinha & Ambalika B
‘In our 75th year of Independence… we needed quality literature about our great tribal freedom fighters. This book is a genuinely commendable start in that direction. —Arjun Munda, Minister of Tribal Affairs
The meticulous lines drawn out from the intricately woven Indian history narrate a tale of courage and patriotism, courteous and courageous fighters astounded the invaders with defiance for crumbling in pain their fragile and ancient machinery might lay down on the battlefield. Still, the spirit of freedom ignited further after losing. Indians unified is a resilient symbol of Pure Indian Strength; our most significant asset lies in our people.
Our impregnable freedom is a culmination of the endeavours of numerous freedom fighters; the depths of oppression create such heights of character.
Our Independence was not a birthright. It was fought for with life and death by these tribal communities.
Our first war of Independence was not in 1857.
Tribal mutinies against the British began at least 75 years before the 1857 revolution.
These battles were fought with traditional bows and arrows and spears and predated the reported political movement that came to the fore in the latter part of the nineteenth century. As we complete 75 years of Independence, it is only fair to acknowledge that a parallel freedom movement existed in our far-flung villages and jungles, away from the mainstream freedom movement recognised in the books of history. The Great Tribal Warriors of Bharat is a humble attempt to honour these largely unsung heroes of an epochal movement whose contribution remains largely unacknowledged.
The book begins with Tilka Manjhi, who unleashed guerilla warfare to combat the British and includes Jaipal Singh Munda, one of the most nuanced speakers of our Constituent Assembly, tracking the trajectory of this movement. These brave warriors came from all parts of India, including the Northeast and the South, and all tribes in the country. The book is a rare collection and a journey into self-discovery for our civilization-turned nation. If you want to be a part of similar podcasts, join us.

Vani:

Paraphrased from The Little Book Of Values by Julie Duckworth
Quality • noun (pl. qualities) 1 the degree of excellence of something as measured against other similar things. 2 general distinctions. Three distinctive attributes or characteristics.
Children say Quality is: • Working together to get quality work in your books • Making sure you’ve got a great team • Achieving quality can make yourself and others feel good inside • It’s about not giving up on yourself; you need to believe that you can do it • You need quality to care for the world • Your teachers want you to have high standards and quality work. They plan good lessons so you can always do your best • If we think we can, we will do well. We say in our heads and out loud, ‘I can and I will'. Our thoughts need to be of high quality; there is no room for negative words • We need friends of good quality in our lives. The sort of friends who will stand by you when everything is down.

Patience is truly a vital virtue on the road to success. But what does Patience mean to you? Can you remember any instances where you were patient? Who is the most patient person you know? Why Humility Matters? - Story of the Titanic
Nibbrati Rathore, a passionate educator and a #HappyTeachers, is blessed with a beautiful voice and a love for children. She is a mentor, volunteer and teacher at My Good School. This episode is about humility, the value that should be numero uno, successful, and humble.
"The low sweet root from which all heavenly virtues shoot, that's HUMILITY.
Humility is the quality of being humble. It is a quality of being humbly respectful of others. It is that self-respect that keeps us away from thinking too highly or too meanly of ourselves.
Humility makes us modest and constantly reminds us how far we have come in life and what more we can do. Humility is an important virtue or trait that every person should have.
Everyone deserves respect and a word of kindness, which has nothing to do with profession, age or gender".- Humility and Appreciation - Tarang JMMS, Post on www.BrewingKnowledge.com

Teachers Travel With You All Your Life - Anvesha Rana
Learning is a lifelong process; we must have the best teacher accompany us on life's journey. We may grow up and follow a 'guru' or a mentor; whoever we follow, the teacher's leadership is supreme; the teacher travels with us for life. The empathy and care our teachers bestow on us are etched in our memory for life. You will always carry your teacher in you no matter where you go. The empathy and care our teachers bestow on us will be etched in our memory for life. You will always carry your teacher with you no matter where you go.
What Makes Teachers Great?
Some characteristics can predict whether a teacher will be a great teacher even before entering the classroom. Studies show the teacher is one of the most crucial factors in your child's school success. A poor teacher can set your child back forever; a great teacher inspires them forever.

Happiness @ My Good School
Happiness is perhaps the most multi-faceted feeling. The most fundamental aspiration in the hearts of all human beings is to be happy. We all want to be happy, but we are not! But what is happiness?
Happiness is an emotion, a feeling of contentment. The most trivial things can brighten our day, bring us joy and make us happy! May it be good weather, a good grade in an assessment, being able to befriend a stranger, calling a friend or a relative, looking at the stars, playing a sport with someone, listening to music, and the list goes on.
Happiness is not something that we can achieve with myriad materialistic items. True happiness comes from within. If we are not happy where we are, we won't be happy anywhere. Happiness is the first step of the ladder as we climb up to peace, sanguinity, sagacity, and finally, equanimity.
In the words of Albus Dumbledore, "Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, only if one remembers to turn on the light!" So join us in unfolding the mystery behind the happiness of human life with Aarav and Rishona. Few of our friends will also join and share their experiences. Tune in to the podcast to listen to Saima, Arindita, Anishka, Sakshi, Kritika and Sunita ma'am talk about the true form of happiness. Let us revisit the cheerful and lively moments filled with joy and laughter!
