Ailsa, a Western woman, faces the joys and challenges of submerging herself into Islam

Ailsa (Ale-Sah) seeks an adventurous life. She enters the Islamic religion after being drawn to a man who appeared to be a knight in shining armor. Falling in love came quickly along with shifting into wearing the full Hijab as Ailsa chose to move forward fully into the Islamic religion and culture. Ailsa shares how she becomes a part of the sisterhood of Islam, the beauty of the religion, becoming a mother, living in Morocco, and how she navigated the challenges after a celebratory time ended, then reality set in. This podcast highlights the immersion into a new culture, a new life, and ultimately a coming home, to who Ailsa truly was after all. “By the Light of the Crescent Moon” is a memoir by Ailsa Keppie which is now available on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Light-Crescent-Moon-Ailsa-Keppie-ebook/dp/B095LSKLLW/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2XTHGE3LE3W6C&dchild=1&keywords=by+the+light+of+the+crescent+moon&qid=1630426692&sprefix=by+the+light+of+the+crescent%2Caps%2C198&sr=8-14

Trish finds that crippling exhaustion and nonstop anxiety falls away through Kundalini Yoga.

Listen in on the laughter during this podcast with a few audio hiccups which you can easily fast forward through. Trish a "type A" personality, learned to always be in action and work hard to succeed. This led to constant overthinking and planning before she made a different move. A super action oriented society of check all the boxes and an approach to problems that equaled a quick fix, left Trish in crippling exhaustion. Kundalini Yoga taught Trish how to upgrade her frequency to live an anxiety free life, full of feeling refreshed! Trish is one of 25 women who share their transformational story in the newly released book, LEGACY SPEAKS found on Amazon.

Brenda finds herself facing divorce and breast cancer. She dives deep into emotional courage to heal it all.

Brenda finds herself facing divorce and breast cancer. She dives deep into emotional courage to heal it all.

Ten years ago Brenda faced two life altering challenges at the same time. Presented with such hardships, Brenda got busy examining the messages that needed to be heard to heal. Believing that she created her own reality, Brenda became obsessed with finding the source of her cancer, knowing if she created it, she could also 'uncreate' it for herself. Her search revealed a lifetime of 'unexpressed emotion' that could, and did in her case, result in a near fatal disease in her body. Learning to honor and give a voice to her emotions allowed her to heal and restore, not only her physical body, but her emotional life. She calls it Emotional Courage- to reclaim, honor and trust the authority in our feelings. Brenda also believes that Emotional Courage is one of the best ways to prevent any future dis-ease in the body. Listen as Brenda shares the work that brought her through deep dark times to create a new life for herself where she teaches other women how to honor their emotions.

Tara fell deeply in love with John. Eventually she realizes she cannot help John any longer which leads to a life altering event.

Tara fell deeply in love with John. Eventually she realizes she cannot help John any longer which leads to a life altering event.

Tara fell deeply in love with John. John's personality and nature was one of expansion and bucking the system of a religious stronghold. He and Tara fled their former lives to grab all life had to offer. They built a life they dreamed of; simplicity, ease, and indulging in their chosen beloved city, which was free from family and religious constraints. Tara knew John needed more as his behavior and actions demanded more and more of her. She knew a massive shift was required. This shift was the ultimate in change. John's suicide fractured Tara's world, calling her to rely on others in her days of feeling like a newborn baby, tears falling freely and regularly while requiring the most basic of care from others. Tara stepped her way through the darkest of days to flourish and construct her own life of marriage, motherhood, and purpose.

Jen receives a chronic lyme diagnosis and how knowing God loved her eternally would keep her and her children provided for.

Jen receives a chronic lyme diagnosis and how knowing God loved her eternally would keep her and her children provided for.

Jen was having the most difficult time getting her children to school. She was told over and over, "Can't you get your child to school on time? Just that one thing?" Jen could not. She couldt understand what was happening to her body and mind that prevented such a seemingly simple task. Jen was bed ridden and began praying. She felt God loved her eternally. With this love firmly felt and known, she began making phone calls to get help. The floodgates opened towards healing. Her path toward better health, finding more faith in herself, and a helping hand from DCF all shifted her life. Knowing she was always worthy of love she persevered through her pain to a permanent loving home with her children and restored health.

My painful season spanned three years. Here I share part one.

My painful season spanned three years. Here I share part one.

In this premiere episode of the podcast IT'S DEFINITELY GOING TO BE EMOTIONAL, I start by sharing part one of my pain story. My pain story spanned over a few years. I realized I had to break my story up into three parts. On this episode, I share the beginning part of my pain story. Over the next few weeks I will be sharing part two and part three of my pain story along with my perseverance. This podcast was born out of the idea that we as women are far more connected in our painful stories and our ability to persevere beyond the pain. This podcast is a place for women to come and gather and listen and cry and hear the stories of other women. The stories of other women in their painful times then persevering, is meant to offer hope and possibility to women who may need to hear theses stories and believe their current pain is validated and honored. And, also, have faith they will survive and even thrive after. This podcast also serves the women who are sharing their stories. The ability to share a story of pain and perseverance, I believe, helps lift the burden and give fresh air to their story. The women who share their stories are brave women who I honor, for taking the time with me and with you to share their wounds and how they have healed and continue to heal over the years. This podcast is conversational, educational, and nonprofessional (I'm not a doctor or a therapist, or professional podcaster!)😁
