Pauline Theology: The Abundant Riches of His Grace
In this episode, EvangeliNation returns to the airwaves in 2023 with a look at the theology of Blessed James Alberione, holy priest and founder of the Pauline Family of religious and secular institutes of consecrated life.
Alberione's theological thought forms the foundation of the whole life of a Pauline, and indeed, I would say of every Christian. Join me today as we begin to drink in the deep reflections of this insightful man's intellectual, spiritual, and moral life through a reading of his collection of notes called Abundantes divitiae gratiae suae, "the abundant riches of His grace."

HOLY WEEK 2022 SPECIAL EDITION: Which Apostle Am I Most Like?
This is the first ever "double episode" produced in honor of the Easter Triduum. Come away on a fisherman's boat into the waters of sunny reflections.
At the time of this recording, Holy Week has begun for Christians all over the world. So, today, we are talking about the 12 Apostles that gathered around Jesus for His Last Supper, the Passover ("Seder") meal that He shared with His Apostles before He laid down His life for His friends . . . and for all of us in a mystical reality that is no less pertinent and profound today than it was back then. Isn't that an extraordinary thing to say?
The meal He shared with His friends was like everything else He did: it had long-lasting phenomenal consequences for the whole world. Who can comprehend the mystery and beauty of even one moment like that shared with the God-Man, Jesus Christ? If we could get even just a little taste of it, I think it would change who we are today forever. I guess that is the aim of this episode. Enjoy.
May you have a holy and blessed Pesach / Pascha / Pascua / Easter Triduum.

RECEIVE THE SEAL OF THE LIVING GOD for Protection from AntiChrist
The Great Chastisement is coming (cf. Matthew 24). That is not a sensational statement but a fact attested to by many prophetic people and events, one of which is the stigmata-bearing witness of Antonio Ruffini (not the subject of this podcast) and among so many others, one Barnabas Nwoye, a teenager who received "the greatest devotion of all time" from Jesus for the conversion of the world. This happened in Olo, Enugu State, Nigeria. This podcast addresses one aspect of this great Devotion to the Most Precious Blood, and it is the reception of the Seal of the Living God in the context of 5 months of weekly "Gethsemane Hour" devotions entered into from 11:00 p.m. Thursday to 3:00 a.m. Friday of each week.

Our Lady's Rules for Prayer Group Members (1983)
In 1983, a prayer group was started in Medjugorje.
LISTEN TODAY to hear Our Lady's rules for the voluntary members of this group.
These rules will help you grow in your spiritual life.

Words from Heaven: Medjugorje Messages Jul-Dec 1986
Today's podcast is devoted to sharing Our Lady's weekly messages to the parish of Medjugorje from July through Christmas Day of 1986. These apparitions and messages are 100% approved by the magisterium of the Catholic Church.
Our Lady Queen of Peace has been appearing on earth since 1981 to visionaries from the little town of Medjugorje, Bosnia-Hercegovina. This podcast gives a brief overview of how this started and offers resources you can use to delve more deeply into this great and powerful gift God has given to the world.
The gift of Medjugorje is, first of all, a great display of our Blessed Mother's love for all humanity. She as been visiting the earth tirelessly for 40 years to lead us out of darkness into the wonderful light of Her Son. He who became Incarnate in Her as the Word of God Made Flesh is permitting Her to come to us, to undertake by the power of the divine love flowing through her Immaculate Heart the visitation of Her children like never before in human history. Have we not been very lazy and weak in our response to this great gift? Let's change that! Now is Her time to crush--with Her Son--the head of the ancient serpent.

Words from Heaven: Medjugorje messages from Jan-Jun 1986
Join me today to drink in Our Heavenly Mother's messages from Heaven!
As a Church, as a nation, as a world, we are very late in listening to our mother's pleas from Medjugorje. They are pleas for us to open ourselves to God in prayer, so that we can love, experience joy, happiness, and live in peace. These messages are dated from Jan-Jun 1986 and are 100% approved by the Church. Next week, we will meditate upon messages given during the second half of 1986.

We are called to share, like Mary, in the mission of the One Mediator between God and Man: Jesus Christ (cf. 1 Tim 2:5); for, as St. Paul writes in his First Letter to Timothy (2:1-2): "First of all, then, I urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving be offered for everyone, especially for kings and all those in authority, so that we may lead tranquil and quiet lives in all godliness and dignity." So, let's get praying and interceding for one another! Let's bring the power of the Word to the world!

Heaven on Earth: In the Home at Nazareth + 3 Types of Daily Prayer for Every Believer
Tune into today for another deep dive into reflections on the life of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of Jesus, who gave Her to John and to all "beloved disciples" for all ages as a Mother to be listened to and lovingly cherished. When we ask ourselves the question, "What would Jesus do?" we know that in regard to His Mother, He was most respectful, gracious, and affectionate beyond compare with any son who ever lived and loved a mother. Catholic Evangelism Bootcamp + The Presentation of the Child Jesus in the Temple
Today we continue our reading of Blessed James Alberione’s book Mary, Hope of the World.
We know that the whole world was waiting on the other side of Mary's “yes” to God’s invitation to bring forth the Eternal Word to the world. The same is true for you and me! There are people waiting on the other side of our obedience to the call to evangelize others.
If you feel a calling to get better at articulating the faith and bringing life-saving truths to others, people are waiting for you to be obedient to that call, to listen and respond, to say “yes, Lord, here I am” and to become a disciple capable of being sent out as an apostle on a mission to bring the Word to the world. Mary and Joseph brought Jesus to the Temple, where Simeon and Anna joyfully encountered Him for the first time. Let's give that same joy to others waiting to know the power and the promise of a relationship with Jesus Christ.

"The Adoration of the Magi" from Bl. Alberione's book Mary, Hope of the World + Catholic Evangelism Bootcamp
Today's episode is a reflection on that glorious moment of Christ's birth and infancy, when after being visited by the poor and humble, was next visited by the rich and powerful, the wise and learned of the east, who followed a star to the place where he dwelled in the arms of His Mother and under the protection of his foster-foster St. Joseph. So, follow the wise men today, and seek the face of the Christ. Bend your knee before Him. Worship and adore Him as your Lord and King. It was Mary, the Mother of Jesus, who evangelized these visitors from the east. She explained to them the deep mysteries of His incarnation and His mission to save humanity. Today, let us also, go to Mary, to ask her to teach us more about Her Divine Son.
Additionally, as we turn the corner of the year and move steadily toward Christmas, I’d like to invite you to consider joining me in a deep study of what we believe and how we share what we believe in cooperation with our baptismal call to announce the Good News of the One who has saved us and to bring to others a reason for the hope we have in Him. You see, we are all called to evangelize by virtue of our baptism into Christ as members of His Body.
That's why you are invited to join us in Catholic Evangelism Bootcamp. Here in 2021, this bootcamp is starting next week, October 5 & 6, with live sessions being conducted every Tuesday and Wednesday, and recordings available for people with busy schedules who want to learn on demand. So, check it out at the Pauline Community of St. Joseph website. That’s paulinecommunityofstjoseph.org. and when you get on the website, click on the tab that says “Learn” and then select Catholic Evangelism Bootcamp. There you will find more information about this evangelism boot camp and you will be able to register to dive right in with us in our two-fold purpose of examining how the Creed intersects with popular ideas being consumed by us and our loved ones today, and then we will study how we can fulfill our baptismal call to holiness by reaching out to those who have fallen away from the faith in order to bring them back to Jesus Christ, who alone has the answers to all our problems. He is the Face of the Father Almighty, come to us in small human appearance. He walked among us, performed miracles so powerfully, that now more than 2,000 years later, everyone knows them and talks about them. He has changed the course of history, even for the most secular historian, and He has risen from the dead, which no one else in history has been able to do, and He truly is the Messiah and Savior of the world. He has opened up for us the possibility of eternal bliss and happiness after this earthly life of toil and testing, and so, I want you and everyone to enjoy that everlasting fulfillment and beatitude, that happiness for which you were created and conceived of from the foundation of the world. So, join us as we raise up Catholic evangelists for our age. The time has come, people.

Become a Catholic Evangelist! + Mary, Hope of the World (Nativity of Jesus)
All creation awaits the revelation of the children of God. And who are the children of God? They are united in communion with the Son, the Eternal Son of the Eternal Father, the heir to the royal kingdom. We have no inheritance in eternity, or in that kingdom, save through the One Heir, the One royal Son of the Almighty. It is in HIM that we inherit sonship, that we are able to be called “children of God.”
And so, why am I sharing all this with you? Because the time has come to choose, and not only to choose for ourselves, but to apply all our God-given talents and resources to do all in our power to bring souls back to the Father's House via the Way of Christ. This is especially to help those who are fooling themselves into thinking that they can make up their own Gospel Way, that they can pick and choose what are the points of the deposit of faith handed down for centuries that they will accept. It's a high bar, but the deposit of faith is like a tapestry. Everything about it is interconnected to create a portrait of Christ Himself and His Way. And to remove any one part of that is to diminish Christ and is a false portrait of Christ.
So, the big news is that I am embarking right now on an initiative to activate Catholics like you everywhere to rescue others who have fallen away from the bedrock principles of the faith. It's CATHOLIC EVANGELISM BOOTCAMP. Register today, as spaces are filling up! This "boot camp" training experience is laser focused on the deeper meanings of the Creed that we profess and how those meanings inform our life in modern society. We are drowning in a lot of confusion and false notions about what life and hope is all about, precisely because we have allowed the popular culture of the day to overwhelm us with a false gospel. So, join me and others like you who want to get clear on the intelligent way to bring our loved ones-- family members, friends, and acquaintances--back to the one, holy, catholic, and apostolic faith of our fathers.

Go to Joseph + Mary, Hope of the World -- all in service to Our Lord
We all struggle about something. Is this a bad thing? Absolutely not! Challenges make us more fully human, more fully who we are created to be when we choose to overcome our problems with grace and with the majesty of personal integrity. This is a sign that we are sons and daughters of a royal household, representatives of the family of God, a royal family of dignity, intelligence, wisdom, hope, and goodness. Step away from your struggles today in this podcast retreat and offer up your troubles with others tuning in as we pray together and also reflect on the unique revelation of the power of God manifest in the event of Mary's visit to Elizabeth. To follow the text of our Mary, Hope of the World, chapter 6, click here to get a copy on Amazon.
Will you also make an offering to support this ministry? Your support is vital! May you be richly rewarded for your generosity, as together we build the Kingdom of God wherever we are.

Rosh Hashanah + Mary, Hope of the World, Ch. 5
With September upon us, I want to share with you about a special High Holy Day in the Jewish calendar: Rosh Hashanah, which begins September 6 this year. Why is this important? Well, tune in today to find out! We will also be continuing our reading in Bl. Alberione's book Mary, Hope of the World. Be sure to connect today because you will have a little spiritual homework to do tomorrow and over the course of the next week, as we join together all over the globe in an effort to reconcile ourselves with God, bringing our relationships, our Church, our nation, and our world back to the Almighty God, Who is and Who was and Who ever shall be, forever and ever, Amen!

Mary, Hope of the World - Ch. 4 - Mary's Espousals
It is always amazes me when I encounter a Christian that dismisses Mary, as if Mary, the Mother of Jesus, were just some random woman used as a birth mother for the Messiah, and then she became irrelevant to His story and ministry thereafter. I mean it’s really a silly and thoroughly unchristian and inhuman notion that the Mother of our Lord would be thus treated by Jesus, Her most devoted Son--or by any of us, who are called to be the "Body of Christ." There is no Body of Christ, save that which has drawn its flesh and blood from the person of Mary! In this sense, Mary is our mother too, for we are the Body of Christ, and to be born again in Spirit and in Truth in Him requires Mary's assistance, as it is she whose role it is to give birth to the Messiah by the express will of the Eternal Father. Bringing this Word Made Flesh to the world is the role of an evangelizer, what all the baptized faithful are called to be. Let us, like Mary, bring Christ into the world today in all we do and think and say.

Mary, Hope of the World: Mary's Youth
This is a podcast about the richness of the Gospel message for our nation and for our world, and today we are delving deeply into the Gospel behind the scenes, taking a look at the life of the Blessed Virgin Mary, who was conceived of and formed by God to be the Mother of the Messiah--that great and blessed role that many women of Israel hoped to fulfill! (That was one of the reasons why becoming a mother was so highly esteemed. It was thought that one day, one of those mothers would give birth to the coming Messiah in fulfillment of the prophecies.)
So, the Blessed Virgin Mary was chosen and, in fact, conceived of from all eternity for this purpose. Think about it, whether the Fall of mankind was necessary or not, from all eternity, God wanted to be with His creation in a profoundly intimate way. And so that is indeed what we have with the Blessed Virgin Mary’s life. She is like Jacob’s ladder to heaven, connecting us to the Father through the Son and the Spirit.
In today's chapter -- Chapter 3 of Mary, Hope of the World -- we take a look at Mary’s youth. Now, this is based on oral tradition, passed down from Mary to the apostles and to the early church fathers-- presumably from John the Apostle with whom she lived as a true mother to a true son after the death, resurrection and glorious ascension of Her Son, Jesus Christ. There is also another figure that knew Mary well and sought to imitate her, and so listen to the end to find out who this is!

Mary, Hope of the World, part 3: A Look at Mary's Life on Earth
The Blessed Virgin Mary followed God's Way all her life. Even when she was given parental authority over God Incarnate, she elected in her humility to follow Her Son as His best follower and His most passionate supporter. Truly, she became Queen of All Apostles by nurturing those sent by Her Son into mission of any kind for the sake of the Gospel. For this reason, the Church rightly honors her and looks to her for guidance, intercessory prayer, and wisdom so that we can find the Way that leads to Life in every circumstance of our lives.
In this podcast, we continue reading and reflecting upon Blessed Alberione’s book Mary, Hope of the World. I invite you to settle in, relax, and enjoy the excerpts for today, taken from the beginning of Part 2: Mary’s Life on Earth. And don’t you want to know about that? Let’s see what Bl. Alberione has to say about this topic.
We begin on page 43 of the Saint Paul edition published by the Daughters of Saint Paul.

Mary, Hope of the World, part 2: Types and Symbols of Mary in the Hebrew Bible
Today, we continue our meditation with Blessed Alberione, SSP and the early Church Fathers regarding types and symbols of people and events in the Old Testament that take on new meaning and ultimate fulfillment in Mary, the Virgin Mother of Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Word of the Father. One of the symbols I like best in this reflection is Mary as "mouth of the Most High" (Ecclesiasticus 24:5). Is Mary not "mouth of the Most High"? Did she not silently bring forth the Word spoken of God the Father? You see? This is a lovely way to read scripture! I hope you enjoy these reflections, as we continue reading in Bl. Alberione's book Mary, Hope of the World.
As always, feel free to join in this work of bringing to others the rich heritage of Christian reflection on the people and events of salvation history. Share this podcast! You can also support this mission with a one-time or recurring donation by clicking on the "Support" button or visiting http://www.paulinecommunityofstjoseph.org/donate.html Many thanks and may shalom-- God's peace surpassing all understanding--be yours.

Virtues #13: Prudence for Today!
In modern times, prudence has gotten a bad wrap; however, it is more needed now than ever! Maybe that is because so few are taught to value it. Prudence is a critical virtue, an essential "skill" really for living in the world today and for reaching the perfection of your human potential for happiness. This mini-retreat reflection on prudence is for every person in all stages and states in life, and especially for those young people trying to figure out what to do with their lives.

Virtues #12: The Virtue of Justice
This theme of justice is not only a major thread running through the tapestry of Biblical literature, but it is in fact a major theme of salvation history, of human history itself. It is an issue that we grapple with in every society and every generation. The Bible offers us a deep pedagogy on justice, and because justice is intrinsic to the human experience, the Bible offers us a deep pedagogy not only on justice, but on the mystery of humanity itself, the mystery of the human experience, of who you are and who I am.
Join me today in a walk through the biblical definition of justice (per Jeremiah 22) and a look at how this is playing out in current events in society today. Additionally, we will take a look at 13 aspects of the cardinal virtue of justice and how we can exercise these habits in our daily lives to live the Gospel call to justice.

Virtues #11: Justice = Ecclesia + Polis
Christianity is not just a list of beliefs you either intellectually assent to or not; it is a lifestyle that brings about the extraordinary transformation of persons, relationships, families, communities, states, regions, nations, and indeed, the whole world! Its power to do this for the good is so ubiquitously evident that people sometimes "can't see the forest for the trees." It's up to you and to me to make the Gospel reach the ends of the earth and to allow it to soak into our very bones and into the bones of our relationships and society. We need to do this so that people living on earth can truly be free, so that we can experience justice, which is one of the cardinal virtues and which is the common cry for every person and society throughout all time since Cain killed Abel.
The United States of America was founded because the British colonists living here were deprived of justice. After many long years of trying to negotiate for just and equitable laws, courts, and governance, the leaders of the people determined that they needed their own government--but not more of the same kind of tyrannical governance that had ruled peoples mercilessly for thousands of years. No, the new American government would be different, an exception to history. They knew that there was only one way to do that: to found a nation on Biblical principles and to teach the people who would govern the nation by themselves to live upright, moral, and religious lives; and that is precisely what they did. Tune in to learn more.

Passover, Maundy Thursday, & the Way of Virtue
In this Holy Week podcast, we consider how the celebration of the Lamb's Supper on Holy Thursday, the New Passover, can be lived out in our lives in a practical way. Holy Thursday isn't just the little prelude to Good Friday and Easter Sunday; the entire Gospel is announced on Holy Thursday! So, let's settle in for a mini-retreat on how to live the Last Supper in our lives every day. May you have a blessed Holy Week . . . in the sense of the French blessé, which means "wounded." Yes! May our hearts be wounded together with His by the darts of love's passionate charity for others.

Virtues #10: The Annunciation as Template for Human Life
Today is the Solemnity of the Annunciation, when the Angel Gabriel announced to the teenaged Hebrew girl Maryam (Mary) that she was to conceive and bear a child who would be "Son of the Most High" and "Emmanuel" or "God with us." She humbly accepts God's Will, saying "Amen" or "So be it."
This event known as "The Annunciation" is a TEMPLATE for HUMAN LIFE. If you want to be happy and successful, this is the blueprint. Tune in to hear more.

Virtues # 9: The Virtues of St. Joseph
Here in the season of Lent in the Year of St. Joseph and on the eve of the Feast of St. Joseph, it is truly appropriate to reflect today on the virtues of St. Joseph. It was Jesus Himself who inspired and also imitated the perfection of virtue in St. Joseph, and we are called to likewise imitate the virtues of this foster father of Jesus and our own foster father--He who is the tender-hearted image of the Eternal Father--Holy Joseph, the Just and the Chaste.

Virtues #8: Fortitude & the Vow of Poverty + A Dream I Had + Akita, Japan
Today's mini-retreat topic is a continuation of the treatment of the cardinal virtue of fortitude, and it takes what might be a surprising twist for you. Take out your Bible and turn to the Gospel of Matthew so you can look at chapters 6 and 24 together with me.
Thanks to all who follow the promptings of the Holy Spirit to freely to support this ministry! May you be richly rewarded with faith, hope, love, and endurance to the end.

The Virtues #6: Temperance Continued - A Deep Dive into Why and How
This episode takes a deep dive into the why and how of practicing temperance. In our personal and professional lives, and especially in the governing of our nation, temperance is the virtue that makes possible the American republic, which is uniquely designed to be comprised of a self-governing, "moral and religious" people living freely under God.

Ash Wednesday Special: A Wager You Won't Regret
Ash Wednesday says it all: "Remember that you are dust and to dust you shall return." This week's Ash Wednesday mini-retreat highlights the central meaning of Lent -- the great mystery of life in Christ -- and offers the sure hope that the reward of the Christian life is far greater than the illusory gains of a worldly life of vanity. You can bet on it. It's a wager you won't regret.

Virtues #5: Temperance
Temperance is the restraint of the will, which, like a wild horse, must be trained to win the race. Tune into this brief reflection today for encouragement and unique insights into the powerful virtue of temperance.

Virtues #4: Opening up the Toolbox to Build the Life You Want
Today's episode draws from the teachings on virtue developed by Saint Thomas Aquinas and reveals the essential tools for becoming a mature human being. Regardless of your affiliation with or standing in the Church, this episode will hit at the heart of your human experience.

Virtues #3: The Virtue that is the Reason for All the Other Virtues
We continue our series of reflections on the virtues. We have said that wisdom is the mother of the virtues, humility is the midwife of the virtues, and the virtue we are looking at today is the raison d'etre or REASON for all the virtues. So, tune in to find out more about the life of virtue and how it can transform our families, our communities, our nation, and our world.

The Virtues #2: Humility, Mid-wife of the Virtues
Wisdom is the mother of all the virtues, but humility is the mid-wife. Without humility, virtue is not brought to life in a soul, nor indeed, in a society, a nation, or a world.
What is humility? Why is it so important for us? This podcast takes a very close look at what humility is today and in every age, and how this great gift can open up in us the life of virtue that alone is fulfilling and leads to the perfection of human life and society.

CTA: Heal the Nation with a Return to the Virtues
As promised last week, today's episode of EvangeliNation kicks off a series of reflections on the virtues. The virtues are our hope for a nation that needs healing from division, discord, and indecency. Let's set out to reflect anew on the life of virtue! It's a return to humanity; it's our hope for a return to peace and security; it's essential for the pursuit of truth and justice; and it's a journey toward prosperity and happiness in our land and in our personal lives.
So grab your Bible and adjust the volume as we dive into this week's reflection, which takes a look at the first of the virtues: wisdom. We will look at what it is, where it begins, and how it may be applied in a surprising way to current major political events happening right now.
Don't miss this first episode as we set out together on a journey in search of the best and brightest future for our country, our world, and our eternal souls!

The #1 Thing Dividing the Nation and How to Overcome It
Today, we need to get right at the root of what is dividing our nation and also to consider how we, as a nation of citizens can together work to overcome it. Now, this is a really interesting topic, because it is precisely why EvangeliNation exists.
We have very real civic problems but they have real Gospel solutions! We are living in times when those two realities need to come together, when by force of necessity, what we may sometimes prefer to separate or compartmentalize must come together for the integrity and wellness of every citizen of this great nation and every human being in the world. We have civics, politics, secular activities on one side and then, we have religion and spirituality on the other side, and this podcast weaves these two delicately together, as they ought to be in a society of integrity and in lives where what is seen and made visible comes from an unseen, invisible place within each one of us that is the mind, the heart, the soul, the conscience, and the imagination. So, we have these interior faculties, and we as human beings have exterior faculties or sense faculties that enable us in the body to commit acts, to engage in activity that moves physical, sensible things around. For example, we move words around in oral and written communications; we move the stuff of our physical surroundings, eg., construction materials, and all the things associated with food, clothing, and shelter, which are the basic necessities of human life. And all the things we do come from an idea that is invisible, that is part of the invisible reality that is inside our minds and hearts and will. The will power of a person is a very special faculty, because it is the locus of exterior action. What do I will to do today? What we will to do is shaped by what we think in our minds and feel and believe in our hearts. So, that is why civics, economics, and politics—macro terms for the exterior activity of every human life—and religion and spirituality—the interior life of people—all come together in what we consider together in these podcasts of EvangeliNation. And why is this important? In a word: Integrity. The integration of what we think and believe with what we do is crucial, and as you will see in just a moment, integrity is breaking down in our nation, and we have to stop that.
As the New Year begins, I wanted to take a moment to explain why EvangeliNation was born, and why it’s so crucial that we engage in this sort of deep pursuit of integrity. I invite you to contact me with your feedback and any challenges you may have to the premises of EvangeliNation and any great ideas you want to share for topics to consider in 2021.

Pope Saint Sylvester + Bishop Chikwe in Nigeria
Today is the feast day of Pope Saint Sylvester, who died on December 31 in 335 AD. Tune in to hear more about this not too well-known man of courage and faith!
May his heroic faith be a source of encouragement for you, and may his intercession be with us and with all those persecuted and martyred for the faith throughout the world, especially in Nigeria, where Bishop Moses Chikwe was abducted just three days ago.

Prophecy for America given to George Washington by Our Lady in a Mystical Vision
The story of George Washington's vision of a mysterious beautiful lady at Valley Forge is almost as old as America itself. Perhaps it was appropriate that Our Lady of the Americas would want to mark the auspicious occasion of the founding of the nation with her presence; and in any case, She always comes as the mother of the poor and disenfranchised, as consolation for those who suffer, and the bearer of light and hope for those discouraged. Washington was certainly that when in 1777 (or 8), the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to him to assure him of victory, not only against the British, but in three subsequent crises that America would face. One would be the terrible specter of slavery, the sin of which would have lasting ramifications on the nation and lead to the terrible and bloody civil war. The second would be a period in which America would be involved in European wars. The third would be a perilous time in which the whole world would be united against the American Republic. Is this the crisis toward which we are now headed? Tune in today to hear about what really happened at Valley Forge, the account of which was passed down orally from generation to generation and which was eventually captured by Charles Wesley Alexander in his enduring version published in 1861 and shared with you today.

Here's the text of the novena prayer to be prayed 15 times per day during Advent and twice that on Christmas Day:
Hail and blessed be the hour and moment in which the Son of God was born of the most pure Virgin Mary at midnight in Bethlehem in the piercing cold. Love Conquers Fear: Be not afraid!
Today, I'd like to share with you a meditation written by Venerable Cardinal Francis Nguyễn Văn Thuận. Cardinal Twan passed into eternity in 2002, and his life was very holy. Because of his faith, he was imprisoned by the Vietnamese government for 13 years. And this is why this meditation is so powerful. His meditation is titled: Why We Need Not Be Terrified.
Fear as we know is counter-productive in the spiritual life. That's why "be not afraid" is announced so many times in scripture, particularly by God's messengers, the angels, whose encounters with human beings are recorded in the holy scriptures.
Love casts out fear. Recall and never forget that in the end, faith, hope and love alone remain; and the greatest of these is love.
Enjoy this brief meditation.

Be Not Afraid
The admonition not to be afraid is the first utterance inaugurating the coming of the new covenant in Christ. The phrase “fear not” or “be not afraid” resounds about 100 times from the pages of holy writ! Clearly, it is a central theme of scripture, and this is so perhaps because it is a fundamental theme of human experience. Tune in today for a 20-minute reflection on the anatomy of fear and faith and how to achieve the fulfillment of our deepest human longings.

St. Joseph: "Savior of the Savior"
Today's episode is a 30-minute mini-retreat meditation on Saint Joseph, foster-father of Jesus Christ and foster spiritual father of all us baptized into the Mystical Body of Christ.
St. Joseph has many beautiful titles sprung from the tradition of the Church, one of which can be said of no other human being: "Savior of the Savior." This does not mean that Joseph atoned for Jesus' sins as Jesus atones for ours. (We know that Jesus was without sin.) Rather, it refers to the very real protection St. Joseph lovingly and faithfully rendered to Jesus from the earliest moments of his life in the womb, throughout perilous journeys, and even reaching into the future to Christ's death on Calvary. In His Passion, Jesus displayed incredible forbearance, endurance, meekness, courage, and love--all virtues which were certainly inculcated in him by St. Joseph and were, no doubt, modeled after his earthly father's own virtues. "Like father like son" is an adage that can be applied to the human rearing and raising of the Savior of the world. For this reason, we ought to be grateful to St. Joseph for his faithfulness to grace in carrying out the mission given to him by the Triune God so that we might be saved.

New & Powerful Devotion to the Most Precious Blood of Jesus Christ
Did you know that there is a modern devotion to the Most Precious Blood of Jesus Christ that is being called "the greatest devotion of our time"? This devotion is a deeply mystical one, and the prayers and ideas associated with it are, quite frankly, startling.
In 1995, at exactly 3:00pm, the hour of Divine Mercy, Our Lord Jesus Christ called for the first time Barnabas Nwoye, a Catholic Christian teenager from Olo, Enugu State, Nigeria, and appealed to him to console Him and to adore His Precious Blood. The fruit of these favored encounters with Christ is a comprehensive set of prayers and way of life called "Devotion to the Most Precious Blood of Jesus Christ." A book outlining this devotion is available from Queenship Publishing ISBN 1-57918-272-0.
This podcast introduces listeners to this life-changing devotion.

Playing Dumb about D.U.M.B.S + Civil Rights in America Today
Are D.U.M.B.s, the coronavirus, and civil rights concerns all related in society today? What is the foundation of the legal system in America today? Are there aliens, and why is so much alien activity reported around deep underground military bases?
This questions and more are considered in today's podcast. But if that sounds far-fetched and irrelevant to your day, allow me to say that seeing this may be the single-most important thing that you can do today and the single-most important thing we can understand as a nation and as a world of human beings all made beautifully for a glorious society called the Kingdom of God.

What's in a name: Race Relations and the Samaritan Woman at the Well
What’s in a name? Attached to your name is your reputation, your character, your personality, your past, present, and future. Naming plays an important role throughout salvation history, especially, in the case of the patriarchs called to enter into a holy covenant with God. There is also the naming that happens at baptism, and the naming of an entire people like the Samaritans or other groups of people who are, in fact, all part of the one human race called to be one family in Christ, the God-Man. In Christ's Name an everlasting marriage covenant has been established and in this eternal covenant, all of us have become children, heirs, brothers and sisters of the same royal family.
With racial discrimination and racial tensions breaking into occasions of violence, destruction, chaos, murder, and theft, it is high time that we all get together to start acting according to our dignity as members of a royal family in Christ Jesus. And that means everybody--black, white, rich or poor, bound or free. We are all called into the freedom of life regulated by the 10 Commandments, a life that is like a wellspring of hope springing up inside each one of us who prays.

From Brokenness to Wholeness: When Christ Our Life Appears
Is there a problem in your life that seems unsolvable? Do you feel broken? Most of us in one way or another do. It seems to be part of life. Why is that anyway? We keep striving for wholeness, but we just keep getting brokenness. What’s going on with that anyway?
John 10:10 records the words of the Divine Master, who has told us: “I came that you may have life, and have it more abundantly.” Okay, Lord, I accept this as divine revelation, but help us to piece it together with all the suffering and brokenness we experience in this world. What can you really mean by this?
Today, the answer came to through insects, wild mushrooms, scripture bits, and a song. I hope you will join with me in this noon-day reflection on time and eternity. (Just click above to listen to today's podcast.)

Consecrate your property with blessed salt + the Holy Family in Egypt
“How good and pleasant it is when brothers [and sisters] live together in unity!” ~ Psalm 133:1
Are you experiencing discord, division, arguments, temptations to violence, crime, or to moral, financial, or physical dissolution? You need to listen in today to hear more about how to break demonic strongholds in your life. It is not difficult. There are simple steps you can take, and one of them is to walk the perimeter of your property --whether you own it or rent it-- and sprinkle blessed (exorcised) salt while praying the prayer of consecration of your property that I give you at the end of this podcast. The Pauline Family began 106 years ago today!
Today, I want to introduce you to a world-wide family of religious congregations and secular institutes all established with one mission in mind: bringing Jesus Christ the Divine Master—Way, Truth and Life—to the whole world. I am talking about the Pauline Family founded by Blessed James Alberione beginning on August 20, 1914 – on this day exactly 106 years ago. That was the founding of the Society of St. Paul, a group of priests ordained to preach the Gospel with the media of mass communication—unlike any priestly congregation that had ever been founded before. It was unique, radical, visionary. After this foundational congregation was formed, other congregations and secular institutes followed: the Daughters of St. Paul, the Pauline Cooperators, the Pious Disciples of the Divine Master, the Good Shepherd Sisters, the Sisters of Mary, Queen of Apostles, the Annunciationists, the Gabrielites, the Institute of Jesus the Priest for parish priests, and finally, last but not least, the Holy Family Institute for married persons, widows, and widowers.
In this impressive array of vocational offerings, there is truly something for everyone, for every walk of life, so that every person in every vocation may have the opportunity to crown his or her baptismal promises with consecration and specific vows that bind them more closely to Christ and His Church and elevate every act of daily life to an act of worship, an act of religion, an act of thanksgiving and praise to the Eternal Father, Son and Spirit, the Divine I AM from whom each one of us has life, individuality, purpose, refreshment, happiness, and eternal life if we so choose it.
Check out PaulineFamily.com for more information. You can also reach out to me at lisa@paulinecommunityofstjoseph.org. I look forward to hearing from you! Be sure to like and share this podcast with someone you know who is searching for a better Way to live.

How Families Evangelize the World
Evangelization is the act of bringing the Eternal Word Made Flesh, Jesus Christ, into the world wherever we are, into all the spheres of our personal influence. It is announcing the Good News of the Kingdom of God not only in word but primarily in action, living the Gospel and healing our world by doing so. Every act of evangelization echoes the unspeakable moment of the Annunciation, when the Archangel Gabriel announced to Mary that she would conceive a Son by a mysterious encounter with the Spirit of the Living God, and bring forth into the world that Inspired Word Made Flesh, that long-awaited מָשִׁיחַ— Messiah and Savior— who saves the visible world by bringing it into communion with the invisible Divine Godhead.
Today’s topic is a deep and complex one: it is a mystical, psychological, and material reality known as human marriage and family. In our world today and in every age, the importance of the Christian call to marriage and family life is inestimable.
So, how do Christian families--married couples and their children--announce the Kingdom of God? Tune into today's podcast to find out.

Friendship
Today's topic is friendship. You can't get to heaven without it! What is friendship and what is it not? Tune in to hear about a family whose friendly ways of loving each other are certainly worth emulating.
Let's love someone to heaven today.

Biblical references to the Sacred Heart of Jesus + Riots & Throwing Rocks
Today we dive into the biblical foundations of devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, which was defined by the Lord Himself in mystical conversations granted to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque in June of 1675 during the octave of the Feast of the Blessed Sacrament.
We also take a look at what is happening in various communities across our great nation: riots and mobs throwing rocks. Tune in to hear why this will never be the Way to solve anything in our country. If you are a young person who thinks the BLM riots might be just the greatest act of social justice this country has seen, please tune in and let's chat too. You can reach me anytime at EvangelNation on Facebook. Just look us up and send me a message.
To Sr. Margaret Mary, Jesus showed his Sacred Heart all aflame, and said, "Behold the Heart which has so loved men that it has spared nothing, even to exhausting and consuming Itself, in order to testify to Its love. In return, I receive from the greater part only ingratitude, by their irreverence and sacrilege, and by the coldness and contempt they have for Me in this sacrament of love. And what is most painful to Me is that they are hearts consecrated to Me."

Beatific Vision
The beatific vision is the end for which we all are created. It is the goal of our lives! When we make it to those heavenly shores and see God face to face, then a lifetime of trial, uncertainty, and separation from God will dissolve into an ocean of happiness. We will experience the complete fulfillment of all our deepest longings for loving and being loved and for the actualization of all our personal potential. We will be set free for loving and being loved.
But if we are created for happiness, why are we often so miserable in this life?
Can we not enter into God’s heavenly kingdom of heavenly happiness here and now? Did not Jesus Christ, in fact, tell one of his young interlocutors that, on account of his mindset, he was “not far from the kingdom of God”? (See Mark 12:34.)
Is it possible to experience a taste of the beatific vision on this side of the veil? Tune into today's podcast to consider this question more fully with me. And don't forget to like (if you do), share, and pass on the Good News of Evangelination with everyone you meet. In this way, you can become an evangelizer too.

The Little Prince and the Pandemic
Today, we are taking a hard look at the fear and confusion many of us have felt at one time or another during this coronavirus pandemic.
Are you drowning in uncertainties about where your life is going? Do you daily feel anxious about the big picture of what is happening and whether things will ever be “normal” again? Do you feel like your hopes and dreams for the future have evaporated? That everything you have been working toward is suddenly no longer there, whether that is a top university you expected to enter, or competing in the Olympics, getting promoted in a company that is no longer functioning in person, or maybe traveling the world or taking the world by storm on a stage? Let’s admit it. A lot has changed in the last two or three months in our country and in our world, but I still believe in the best and brightest future of our country, and our world...and there is an important reason why! Tune in to find out about the best and brightest future planned for YOU.

New Wineskins + the Return of the King
In the Gospel of Luke we have a record of the parable of the wineskins that Jesus told his disciples. In Luke 5: 36-38, we read:
“[N]o one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the new wine will burst the old skins [which are hard and inflexible]; the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, new wine must be poured into new wineskins….”
What does this mean? While there are many reflections out there on this topic and surely more than one answer, I believe that there is one answer that surpasses all others. Want to know what that is? Listen to today's podcast to find out.

Barnabas "Son of Encouragement" + Ananias and Sapphira
This episode is all about the power of encouragement, which arises from purity of heart. In contrast to Ananias and Sapphira mentioned in Acts 5, Barnabas lived from a heart that was "all-in" for Jesus, a heart sustained by charity and solidarity with the Christian community. The heart of Barnabas was brought to perfection by his complete dedication to the covenant communion established between God and humanity in the person of Jesus Christ and in His "Body" the Church we have today. With his way of making small acts of encouragement, Barnabas encouraged Paul and thus gave him to us even up to this day as a powerful preacher and teacher and depository of the mighty acts of God.
Come away with EvangeliNation for 20 minutes today! It just might change your life.
And...don't forget to pass it on. (Don't be afraid. You can do it!) That's what makes you join in the missionary journey of this message of the Gospel. Together, "let us encourage one another daily while it is still 'today'" (St. Paul's Letter to the Hebrews 3:13).

Who did JPII call "The First Apostle of the New Evangelization"?
Who was the "the first apostle of the New Evangelization"? Do you know? I bet you don't! Nevertheless, that is exactly what Pope Saint John Paul the Great, the great evangelizer of the 20th and 21st centuries, said about the man I am introducing to you in this podcast. He was "the first apostle of the New Evangelization." This man is Blessed James Alberione. Tune in to hear more about this not-yet-canonized saint of the Church.

The Problem of Suffering: How Could a Loving God Allow it?
Our 20-minute topic today is the problem of evil, and more specifically, suffering. Why do bad things happen to good people? And how could there be a loving God if there is so much suffering in the world? Wouldn’t an all-powerful, all-knowing, and all-loving God protect us from suffering and death?
These are important questions in every age, and I think that they are especially pressing today for young people, many of whom have adopted an atheistic ideology or call themselves agnostic, which really just means practical atheism. Perhaps, if you are an atheist or agnostic listening today, you will follow up with me if what I say here does not fully answer your question about why we experience evil in the world if there is a loving God in charge. Will you do that? I’d love to hear from you. Seriously, just private message me on Facebook at EvangeliNation, or at paulinecommunityofstjoseph@gmail.com.

DARKNESS: Part 2 of "What is the point of Our Lady Appearing at Medugorje?"
In this episode, we continue with Part 2 (of 2 episodes) devoted to summarizing in some way the 14,000+ messages of Our Lady, Queen of Peace, who has been miraculously appearing at Medugorje in Bosnia-Hercegovina since June of 1981. In particular, we take a look at one theme of her messages today, and that is DARKNESS and LIGHT.
EvangeliNation is about encouraging you to be the best and brightest YOU that you can be, for the sake of you, your family, our nation, and our world. Let’s be bright together IN THE LIGHT of Our Lady’s messages, shall we?
Feel free to contact me at paulinecommunityofstjoseph@gmail.com if anything I say here is disturbing to you or if you just have a question or even a prayer request. Feel free to reach out. I'm right here for you!

What is the Point of Our Lady Appearing at Medugorje?
Yesterday, someone asked me, "What is the point of all this happening at Medugorje? If you don't know what is happening or if you are not sure what the point is of the miraculous phenomena happening at Medugorje (to which pilgrimage by the way is now officially approved), then this podcast is for you!
And even it you don't have a clue what I am talking about or even if you think you already know all about this topic, listen in and feel free to start a conversation with me about this. Just leave your comments at paulinecommunityofstjoseph.org/podcast so I can see them, and I promise I will respond to each one.
Don't forget to like (if you do) and share with anyone who might need a little light today!

Media Fast
Don't forget to like (if you do), share, comment and be a part of building traction for EvangeliNation, this movement designed to evangelize the nation! If not now, when? If not us, then who?
Today, I have something important to share: I'm going on a 10-day media fast. Can I do it? Could you do it? No cell phone, no internet, no TV, no radio, no nada. While the media of communication in our electronic age are powerful and wonderful gifts--gifts that connect people all over the world on podcasts like this one--we cannot fully appreciate their value without being grounded in the Way, Truth, and Life that is Jesus Christ. And we do this in prayer, and--yes--fasting. Take a little time out with me and listen to this week's podcast to learn more about evangelization, the always and forever topic of this podcast. Stay blessed!
