Lost Light

A week and a half before the big PPV and they should be doing their dangedest to hook us and get us to clear our social calendars so that we make time for Full Gear and they really didn't. Kind of a lack-luster show where the highlights didn't feed into the PPV or were late last minute additions to the PPV.

Tony Khan has an "Important Announcement." You know it's not a big deal because he saves the big deals for the "Major Announcements." MJF carried today on his back. He continues to deserve any belts he has.

The era of the Rated R Superstar has begun.

It's always a pleasure to talk to Caleb about wrestling but if you are looking a high quality succinct episode this ain't it.


We were mostly just hanging out talking about things in the vague wrestling realm and like a hecking idiot I didn't even make sure I was using the correct microphone.

My no editing the Dynamite Recap episodes was maybe a mistake.

We got a double shot of Orange Cassidy on Dynamite. They knew Chuck was in the audience and you've got to give the people what they want.

A day late but never a dollar short.

Jim and Caleb talk about their different experiences watching Blood & Guts and the things they liked and where it fell short of our loft expectations.

Sure Dynamite happened last night but we still talk about it. Including Jim's "Fantasy" bookings and Caleb not being impressed with the short term prospects for Adam Cole.

There were a bunch of matches that happened tonight. We don't really talk about them at all. Mostly we talk about Tony Khan and how we feel that AEW is in a bit of a slump. Still you'll enjoy this one.

This Seattle crowd was on fire. Wow.
Great performances all around this evening from the wrestling to the promos.

We weren't too jazzed about the MJF vs Ricky Starks match that is scheduled for Winter is Coming but you give those 2 microphones and they are gonna sell, sell, sell. Our bodies are ready.

2 weeks after Full Gear 2022 and AEW is still leaving us guessing.

Trying to wrap our heads around what MJF is going to bring to the table. Loving every minute of what The Elite and Death Triangle are giving us. Wanting more FTR but accepting that The Acclaimed are burning bright while they have the spot light.

The fallout from All Out, but this time there actually was some real implications from things that happened after the PPV. All in all a great show. Hard to tell exactly where the long term story telling plans started and the adhoc throw together something because half of the roster is temporarily suspended. We do get into some of the conspiracy theories but we aren't tin foil hat folks. Also if you skipped the last Dynamite because it sounded not great this one sounds incredible so tune back in.

Live from Caleb's car and even more raw and unedited than usual (blame Anchor not Caleb). CM PUNK. JOHN MOXLEY. KENNY OMEGA. TONY NESE. Okay I was kidding about Tony Nese but he was there. Everybody really on top of their game tonight.

Sometimes a hiatus happens but just because we aren't recording doesn't mean we aren't watching. Nobody wants to hear us recap all of AEW July so we stick to last nights matches. Does it matter when an episode of Dynamite doesn't have a special event title? Going from the 2 week Fyter Fest Shark Week and with Quake on the Lake (which is actually closer to a river, but we'll get into that later) what happens in between?

Jim tries to do the b-b-b-b-b-b-bat-and-spider sounder thing for blood and guts and it falls flat. Oh well, better luck next time. Still this was a solid evening all around. Worked on all cylinders and they gave Blood and Guts the time it needed. Caleb did a swear so this episode has been marked as explicit content.

What is a Road Rager? How is it different than a normal episode of Dynamite? I don’t know. They didn’t explain it. I guess that’s kind of the point? Anyway the night started with some kind of goofy gimmicks but Dax/Ospreay match was “straight fire” as the kids say. You know that a Jurassic Express/Young Bucks match was going to bring the flavor and they brought it. Overall a good night.

From the graveyards of Tijuana we are back. Double or Nothing + Dynamite. Obviously you've already read all the Tweets and you know what went down but we are still here to talk to you about what we found the most interesting or odd or challenging or whatever.

Who are those Jabronies in the Jericho Appreciation Society?

Raw and unedited 27 minutes of Caleb and Jim gushing about this week's Dynamite. Everything getting setup for Revolution and we are excited for all the matches. But what is going on with this MJF turn? Are we supposed to feel empathy for him because that crowd wasn't having it at all.

Special guest Pham joins us for a special episode on Wrestle Kingdom 8. The New Japan Pro-Wrestling event that got Pham hooked on Japanese style wrestling and got him back into the wrestling.

A night when the promos outshined the matches? It happened.
