In this season finale episode of Heart To Heart, host Journey Moses and new guest host Gabby Cooper lead an all youth panel to discuss the important topic of safety and security in schools. Panelists, Arionna Matthews (high school), Nathan Mutale (college), and Bianca Damsik (high school) share their experiences with active shooter drills and how they feel about them, discuss the effectiveness of school safety measures, thoughts on they ways administrators communicate safety information to students, and offer insights into how students can advocate for safer schools. Through their conversation, the panelists highlight the importance of intergenerational conversations about pressing social issues and the value of listening to and learning from our youth. This episode also features previous host Jos Duncan Asé as she steps down in her role of adult co-host to provide more space for our youth perspectives.
