With a growing number of local groups based in cities worldwide, we are present in more than 85 cities around the world. In her 6 years of experience, she has worked with multinational companies and recently had her work showcased in WebSummit Rio de Janeiro, 2023. She is passionate about conceptualizing and creating clean, responsive and creative solutions that speak for the users. After hours, she is part of the Dj duo Plena&Tudo, set to have multiple appearances in Lisbon and other cities through this year. Ladycast 09 - Lara Greenberg - UX Director, Business Lady and Co-Leader at Ladies That UX Boston
In today's episode we’re going to meet Lara Greenberg, she is currently the Director of UX at Notarize (a Series D company in the legal tech space). She built and now manages an incredible team of product designers, UX researchers, and UX engineers. Aside from growing the team and maintaining a thriving design culture, her work (along with others on her team) includes shaping Notarize's first-ever design system and creating an internal accessibility program. Prior to Notarize, she was a design manager at ezCater (an online marketplace in the food tech space and a "unicorn" Series D company), where she got her start as a design leader. She believes that creating an environment of psychological safety, trust, and warmth is crucial in empowering designers do their best work and in maintaining engaged UX teams.
Before her foray into UX around ten years ago, Lara studied linguistics in college and then obtained a graduate degree in speech-language pathology. She worked as a pediatric speech-language pathologist for several years with a simple mission: to help people find their voices. Lara worked with people with various communicative disorders, including traumatic brain injury, autism, dyslexia, cerebral palsy, etc., and helped them improve their speaking, understanding, reading, and writing. Working with children who use assistive devices to communicate led her to the field of UX, and she strongly believes in the power of technology to enable better communication and connection for people.
Lara co-organizes the Boston chapter of Ladies that UX @ladiesthatuxbos , with her two amazing co-organizers and friends, Olga Perfilieva and Katie Langerman. The group cares deeply about creating inclusive and insightful events for people to learn together, and to celebrate the women and non-binary folks in our field.
When she's not working or planning for LTUX, you can find Lara hiking, trying her hand at close-up magic, watching Star Trek, tending to her (too many) plants, planning her next meal, and practicing her (very) amateur food photography skills. Definitely an amazing lady. Let's meet her?

Samantha is currently a UX contractor for a services company called Rocket Wagon. Zenia O'Leary was a digital art director for 10 years, has a background in advertising and marketing and about a year ago, Zenia changed careers and is now a UX designer at WorldStrides. And Allison Herbert, is a Product Manager at Synapse Studios and advocates for staying curious at the intersection of content, product, and continuous feedback.

Katrina is driven to innovate for impact by designing and building experiences that deliver results while delighting users. She's a UX leader with 15+ years of experience in the field, solving problems with the right mix of research, information architecture, interaction design, visual design, and usability testing. she had partnered with companies and clients in a number of fields, including AT&T, Cricket Wireless, Samsung, Asus, and Highmark. She is currently working at Microsoft as a Senior Design Manager for the Azure Security Design Studio.
Moreover, In her spare time, she leads the Ladies that UX North America region and the Seattle meetup group. Managing Chapter Leaders and partnering with organizations like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Zillow, BestBuy, and Airbnb to put on events for the UX community. She loves coffee, bookart, and watercolor painting.
