Stories That Can Inspire A Younger Generation with the author Liam Jenkins
"Many thousands of years ago, creatives were considered the most important people in the communities. Stories, songs, poems, and paintings were all considered sacred tools and moral compasses from which people learned and receive guidance. But the importance of creativity has been forgotten along with storytelling and it's important role within a community"
-Liam Jenkins
For ten years I have worked in a number of PR, communications and marketing agencies. With a selection of articles published in Insurance, IT & Health and Safety trade magazines.
Writing for me is both a form of escapism and cathartisism, but greater than that I'm driven by the notion that my stories can inspire a younger generation.
I believe that the world needs a new influx of modern day fairy stories; stories laced with peril, triumph and moral dilemmas.
I also believe that with rise of technology and mass consumerisation, these stories are getting lost.
Old fairy stories can seem to be outdated and un-relatable. That's how Dylan McFinn was created.

He received a plaque that said, “Future Authors of America,” one-hundred dollars in cash, and an interview with the local newspaper. When asked what inspired him to write about a kid who eats other kids in the neighborhood, he turned to J.S. and said, “My brother?” The reporter didn’t know whether to laugh or call the police. I am an ACCIDENTAL author and I am thoroughly enjoying this crazy ride by Majken Nilsson.
After a particularly difficult year, Majken (pronounced “My-ken”) Selinder Nilsson started writing novels as a way to avoid the room with the rubber wallpaper and the jacket with all of the buckles, finding during the process that she really enjoyed and had a knack for it. This was not surprising, however, as Ms. Nilsson has always had a vividly active imagination, having not only one but two imaginary friends as child. Even as an adult, her characters come to life in her head and their personal stories often flow out faster than she can type. In just nine months, she had written three full-length novels, including extensive research, and is now working on a fourth.

GHOSTS in Vegas. Brian Rouff talks about his last novel “The House Always Wins”.
Brian Rouff was born in Detroit, raised in Southern California and has lived in Las Vegas since 1981, which makes him a long-timer by local standards.
The house in “The House Always Wins” is based on an old fixer upper author Brian Rouff and his family lived in from 2002-05 on St. Louis Ave. in Las Vegas. Purchased cheap because it needed a tremendous amount of work, it was an entertainer’s house — previously owned by Jack Eglash, a noted producer of musical shows on The Strip — who had worked with everyone from Sinatra and Elvis to Carson and Rickles.
“It was a cool, old, one-of-a-kind house,” Rouff said, “with state-of-the-art appliances from 1960. That house, I always felt, was haunted.”

Dyslexia is a GIFT - Karl the Leeuw tells us why.
For far too long dyslexia has been seen as a curse. It’s time to celebrate the gift that dyslexia can be. According to research, just three per cent of Britons consider dyslexia to be a positive trait. Being a parent of a dyslexic child, and having dyslexia himself, Karl de Leeuw can say with confidence that 99 per cent of dyslexia intervention is based on the notion that dyslexics must ‘correct’ their brains by developing their left hemisphere—commonly associated with logic, mathematics and writing—instead on harnessing the phenomenal power of the right hemisphere—which deals with creativity, intuition and perception. That is the ‘common wisdom’, but Karl asks if it is perhaps time that we flipped this idea on its head and, instead, that we view dyslexia not as a curse to ‘cure, but a ‘gift’ to nurture.

Self-Condemnation and Chronic grief. Darlene West inspires us through her book “Awakened by Grace”.
Darlene believes that writing was a gift given to her from the Lord.
She gets inspired for her work through real life events and people watching. For her, she finds it fascinating studying people. Her newest novel, Awakened by Grace, was inspired through the people she met while street evangelizing and bringing the Word of God to those in mental hospitals. That was when her heart was touched by so many Christians and non-Christians, alike, who suffered from Self-Condemnation and/or Chronic Grief. When she sat down to begin Awakened by Grace, those suffering people were in heart, and Professor Franklin Franklyn was created.
After the tragic accident that killed his wife, Katie, Professor Franklyn blamed himself, pushed his family away, and refused to have any social interactions. Katie was his life. He grew up with her since they were five. In fact, she was the only woman that Professor Franklyn had ever kissed. But when it was about two years after the anniversary of her death, Franklin got an unexpected visit from his eight-year-old granddaughter, Maggie.
Maggie was always Professor Franklyn’s little princess. He’s left alone with her for five days when his daughter, Katie, and her husband, Jake, go on a job interview. While the two of them spend quality time together, Maggie’s faith-filled prayers manifest before Franklin’s eyes, and she leads new people into his life. Though all that God has revealed Himself to Franklin, through Maggie, he still has trouble getting out from beneath the weight of his guilt and moving on without his Katie.

Let’s LIVE LONGER NOW. Karl de Leeuw shows us how he was able to cure his asthma by changing diet.
Karl de Leeuw studied over many years with leading experts in the world in the subjects of dyslexia, alternative health, nutrition, and spiritual awakening. These studies took him to the United States, United Kingdom, Poland, Egypt, Israel, India, and Nepal.
He is currently working on two studies. One is an informal study to show how we can reverse asthma, osteoporosis, MS and cystic fibrosis. Another is a study about the minerals in plants.
Karl's research helped to understand that rather than viewing dyslexia as a curse needing correction, it could be seen as a gift providing distinct and real mental advantages.
This exciting message of hope resulted in his first book, The Dyslexia Code. Dyslexia is not something to "suffer" from, this book proposes, but the basis for real, natural-born creativity and entrepreneurship.
As part of his investigations, Karl also came to appreciate the vital role that correct nutrition has on our physical and mental health, as well as on how long we live. The fruits of his findings are contained within his book, The Healthspring Code.
Karl's latest book, The Universe Code, is his most ambitious, taking more than seven years to research and revealing clues to answer to the biggest questions of all: the mysteries of the universe.

Joyce Fields shares inspirational messages about relationships, raising kids and love.
Joyce started her career as a stenographer at a major utility company, working her way up through supervisor of word processing, then as the office manager for an automotive advertising agency, and, lastly, as an executive assistant at a large non-profit health maintenance organization. She is also a professional proofreader. All of these positions were leading her into writing and becoming an author.
She wrote her first book, "Line of Serenity" (a memoir), in 1997. Being the oldest of seven, in a very happy family, she wanted to capture the way their parents raised them so that the way they did it would not be lost when they all passed on. Many people read the manuscript and told her that she should publish it. The book goes from 1944 through 1977 and includes family recipes and photographs. Recipes, because food was--and still is--an important part of her family's fabric; photographs, so that descendants can see what their ancestors looked like and be amazed to find a resemblance to an ancestor. You don't have to be a family member to enjoy this book! For older readers, it's a walk down memory lane; for younger readers, it provides a peek into the past.
Joyce gets her inspiration from living and observing life. In addition to "Line of Serenity," she has written books about parenting ("Mother's Dozen: An Easy Recipe for Raising GREAT Kids!") which is also available in Spanish; relationships ("The Best Way to Keep a Man is to Let Him Go [among other things]"); children's fiction ("Jette Black and Her Seven Friends"); children's non-fiction ("THE VISION: Telling Kids That They Can Make the World a Better Place"); bullying ("Dear Bully: A Collection of Poems about Bullying"); health ("A Breast Cancer Journey to GREATER Joy! Taking the fear and mystery out of a breast cancer diagnosis"); spirituality (THE LIMITLESS GOLDEN RULE: 21 Ways to Use the Golden Rule In Your Life"); and the power and simplicity of quotes ("My Simple Quotes to Live By"). One of her quotes from this book was chosen from over 5,000 entries to appear in The Women's Advantage Calendar for 2013. The quote states: "IT'S BETTER TO DIE CHASING A DREAM NEVER CAUGHT THAN TO DIE NEVER HAVING CHASED THE DREAM."
Joyce's mission statement is: "I write books that inspire people on their journey to make the world a better place."

If William Shakespeare DID NOT WRITE the poems, plays and sonnets attributed to him, then who did?
In Shakey’s Madness: does a mental disorder reveal the real author of William Shakespeare, author Robert Boog offers a simple, yet totally original explanation: the “real” author suffered from bipolar disorder.
“Back in the late 1500’s, not much was known, if anything about bipolar disorder. Even as late as the early 2000’s, most doctors still had a problem with diagnosing it. Unlike Covid-19, there is no swab test for antibodies. No blood test. Many times, doctors do not even require a physical exam because it is a mood disorder, so doctors rely on their patients to “self-report” their symptoms.”
According to Boog, bipolar depressive symptoms such as feeling “melancholy” or depressed, deep distress and suicidal thoughts can all be found in the Shakespeare canon.

Jennifer has a mission: to educate through stories about LGBTQ+, racism, classism and others.
Jennifer Degenhardt, B.A., M.Ed., taught middle and high school Spanish for 24 years, until that career ended abruptly. During her last teaching assignment she began writing short novels for her students, when they were not “buying in” to the traditional textbook lessons. With the first book she wrote, Jennifer found that her students were more engaged, both with the language and in class in general, and through the stories she was able to offer themes for discussion she felt complemented language study and those that, simply put, need to be part of regular discourse: racism, classism, social protest, paying it forward, alcoholism, unhealthy relationships, LGBTQ+, culture, identity, undocumented immigration, persons with disabilities, etc.
