Dark Cycle Clothing- Adam and Coryn Enfinger started a clothing brand based on quirky animals on bikes - 13 yrs later they are printing, packing and shipping their shirts to every corner of the world.

I got to spend a lunch break with Adam and Coryn Enfinger, owners of Dark Cycle Clothing, a clothing brand based out of Tampa, FL inspired by Adam thinking up quirky animals on bike designs while making his 17-mile bike ride to work. Eventually, he screenprinted the designs on some extra t-shirts and they generated quite a bit of interest every time they were worn. Now with over 100k happy customers and with their shirts in over 100 small shops worldwide, each shirt is still hand screen printed with care by Adam. Dark Cycle Clothing's mission is to provide ethical and quality clothing while promoting alternative transportation and raising animal awareness.

I spoke to Adam and Coryn about how they came up with the name and the concept. Coryn told me about they started with an Etsy shop and how it blew up and then they did a .com shop. We spoke about how they handle inventory when doing Wholesale, Events, Etsy, and DarkCycleClothing.com. Adam spoke about how they hand-print each shirt. We spoke about how they balance their business and also caring for their 8 children. We spoke about what it takes to be a successful clothing brand, as well as, discussed how many different animals they have created on bikes. Was great to also hear about how they discussed some of their previous designs coming back.

Scotch & "good" Conversation- Peter von Taborsky started a podcast as an excuse to catch up with old friends- that led to free scotch, sponsors and asking many smart people stupid questions since 2015

I got to spend a long lunch break with Peter von Taborsky, creator, and host of Scotch & "good" Conversation podcast - a podcast about having a couple of drinks & getting to know people by asking smart people stupid questions. Peter started this project as an excuse to catch up with old friends, meet some new ones, and hopefully score some free bottles of Scotch in the process. His podcast has allowed him to speak with actors, directors, authors, his favorite musicians, to his fav teacher, his mom, friends, and ex-girlfriends.

I chatted with Peter about how he started and how he grew his podcast. How he used his small business as a sponsor and got more than just free bottles of scotch but some corporate sponsors at the same time. We spoke about how he comes up with his questions and the format of the show to how he gets his guests to ask him anything. We spoke about the work it takes to build an audience and be so consistent all these years. We chatted about guests sharing more once the mics turn off and the importance of sharing and supporting small businesses. We also spoke about him taking a break after 350+ straight episodes and him starting back up again after a few months off.

Dust Bunny Mafia- Bret Juliano the mafia loving head boss man behind the comics centered around the inner workings of and events relating to Dust Bunnies and their mafia family ways.

I got to spend my lunch break with Bret Juliano, the creator of Dust Bunny Mafia Comics.  Dust Bunny Mafia was started by Bret Juliano a cartoonist and illustrator, and it's a comic that explores the inner workings of and events relating to the lives of several lovable but dangerous dust bunnies. Bret and I discussed how he came up with the concept or DBM- Dust Bunny Mafia and how he's been creating a Universe for these characters the past 10 years.  We discussed how he uses KickStarter to fund some of his projects and how he continues to grow his concept.

I got to spend my lunch break with Katie Fox, the owner, designer and creator of Dead Disco.  Dead Disco was created because Katie has many polar opposite interests; she wanted to smash them together into minimalistic, restrictive color palette designs while trying to make as many puns as possible.

Dead Disco is focused on designing and producing accessories and other goods for weirdos who can relate to the cross-section of the laid back beach vibes and party hard rock'n'roll lifestyle, with a dash of that 80s and 90s pop culture thrown in.

Katie and I discussed why she started the brand, the good bad and unfun part of running a business.  We talked about her creative process and how she is finding ways to grow and build her brand.

Shop GASCO- going from a Great Adventure to creating a new brand Shop GASCO based on and focused on mental health awareness and the magic you bring.

Shop GASCO- going from a Great Adventure to creating a new brand Shop GASCO based on and focused on mental health awareness and the magic you bring.

I got to spend my lunch break with Brittney Salter, the creator and founder of SHOP GASCO.  SHOP GASCO is a clothing and accessory online boutique shop that focuses on creating a community to uplift, inspire and encourage each other to wear what they want.  Sparked from an idea of a mental health awareness line due to personal struggles with illnesses and disorders, all products are designed in house and focus on empowering and encouraging others through fun, bright ideas and mantras. All sales made donate towards mental health advocacy and various charities. Our mantra is magic looks good on you, because your magic is your super power and the world deserves to see it!

We discussed how she started Shop GASCO and how it was sparked from an idea of a mental health awareness line due to personal struggles with illnesses and disorders.  We spoke about how she decided to change from an already popular brand she created doing theme parks and pop culture to doing more with mental health.  We spoke about creating a brand based on your community and not based on the people around you. We spoke about her wanting to push and encourage health advocacy and various charities. We also spoke about how she comes up with her designs and how she offers free shipping.

Lunch with Biggie is an Orlando podcast about small business and creatives sharing their stories and inspiring you to pursue your passion, with some sandwich talk on the side. Created, edited and produced by Biggie- owner of the sandwich themed clothing brand- Deli Fresh Threads.

Jesse Wolfe from starting his own small business O'Dang to being on Shark Tank and working with large retailers to now helping others in the Consumer Product Good (CPG) space reach their potential.

I got to spend my lunch break with Jesse Wolfe, the creator and founder of O'Dang Foods.  He's been on Shark Tank, Entrepreneur and Forbes magazine.  Jesse is now a CPG (Consumer Product Goods) Entrepreneur Founder & Investor helping businesses grow.

We discussed how he started into hummus as his business, getting into farmers markets, his time with the sharks on Shark Tank, how he realized he needed to pivot and get into a different food category.  Going from commercial kitchen/cottage to working with distributers and packers. We discussed his transition from O'Dang to now consultant and investor of CPGs.  We also discussed what common issues he sees while mentoring and working with UCF students in the Blackstone Launchpad and other entrepreneurs.  Jesse also gives me his top 5 things needed to start a business.  We packed a lot in an hour lunch break.
