The Universe responds to our energy. We are always manifesting, whether consciously or unconsciously. To manifest consciously, we must become a yes for what we want. So it is important to get super clear about what you’re a YES for. James Clear, in his book, Atomic Habits says this: When you say no, you are only saying no to one option. When you say yes, you are saying no to every other option. No is a decision. Yes is a responsibility. Be careful what (and who) you say yes to. How important is a name? Ask yourself this question: How well do you think your name describes you? If your answer isn’t “perfectly,” perhaps it’s time to reflect on better alternatives. I've never liked my given name, Shelly, so I just recently legally changed my first name to Sofia! And I am so happy!  People routinely change many aspects about how they present themselves: the clothes they wear, the careers they pursue, the habits they demonstrate. Why not their names? Names are assigned to us at birth by the generation prior — and for various reasons. Our names are used everyday, and maybe can be optimized to more fully express our personalities. Why not pick the name that reflects who you really are??? The great majority of people who change their names are newlyweds, divorcees, transgenders, or people looking to refine their personal brand. Some occupations encourage name changes, like actors and musicians. Spies assume cover identities... William Shakespeare’s Juliet famously says: “What’s in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.” It means that what we call something is not important - its essence remains the same regardless of what we call it. I traveled, I explored, I adventured, I lived with a passion. I let go of what wasn’t positive in my life. I turned another year older and hopefully wiser. I got crystal clear on what adds meaning and true value to my life. I told people how I feel. I took my value of freedom to a new level. I got realer. I started this podcast and this made me realize what's important to my soul. I created a vision that will crystallize who I am as a woman, an entrepreneur, and a person who loves to connect, laugh, and grow a business. I nurtured old and new friendships. I found true love. I realized and understood my mortality. I felt and learned the real value of health and time, the greatest commodities in life. I realized how truly happy I am. I chose to reflect and connect and shift and pivot and make meaning out of contrast. I tried to be part of the positive in the world. I am grateful for the people in my life. You inspire me.
