This week we are starting our holiday celebration with the scariest possible sequel to The Wizard of Oz….Return to Oz. Staring a tiny Fairuza Balk, and our much beloved Piper Laurie, the movie left us with some slight existential dread and a lot of nostalgia.

This week we reach the end of Pride and Prejudice and what a delightful ending it is. The couples we have been rooting for, finally overcome their obstacles and happiness abounds.

This week we reach our penultimate Pride and Prejudice episode. The Lydia situation is resolved and Bingley arrives back in town with a particular friend in tow.

This week we head to Pemberley. After months of soul searching everyone is on their best behavior except for Lydia and Wickham back in Brighton. The emotional rollercoaster continues!

This week we are covering chapters 34-41 in Pride and Prejudice. A proposal, a letter, a self reflection spiral, these chapters are an emotional whirlwind for Miss Elizabeth Bennet.

This week we are talking Halloween Movies. First we talk about different scary movies that have made an impression on us and then we discuss two movies we recently watched, Happy Death Day and Totally Killer.

This week we cover Fire Walk with Me’s missing pieces, perhaps one of the best special features made for a movie. Not only do we get an hour and a half of cut content that could have easily been in the movie but it’s chock full of interesting lore and beloved characters.

David Lynch’s mastery of film making and sound design are on full display. We wrap up our thoughts on this final piece of Twin Peaks to come out for over 2 decades.

This week we start our coverage of Fire Walk with Me. The prequel that no one was asking for but everyone wanted, it seems to connect more to the Diary of Laura Palmer then to TV show itself. We get a master class in acting from Sheryl Lee and track how this fits in to the rest of David Lynch’s work.

This week we reach the halfway point of Pride and Prejudice. Elizabeth takes a trip to see Charlotte new characters are introduced and Darcy reappears on the scene.

This week we cover chapters 18 -24. In these chapters everyone is disappointed and no one is showing themselves in their best light. We get the Netherfield Ball, the Collins proposal and the aftermath of both.

This week we see Jane recover, Collins talk incessantly, and a new smooth talking, good looking scoundrel reveal himself. Elizabeth’s study of human nature is put to the test.

This week we start Jane Austen’s most well known and beloved novel Pride and Prejudice. This week we are covering chapters 1-9, which takes us from an introduction to the Bennets to Jane’s illness and stay at Netherfield.

We finally wrap up our summer of escape ironically recorded at the height of a heat wave and breakdown all that we’ve covered in the last 3 months. We also lay out what in on the horizon for the next 3 months, and find out what summer food we embody.

This week is our final entry into our summer of fun catalogue, and it’s a pure delight. The Goonies is a classic for a reason or at least a classic to us.

This week we are covering a great dark comedy from the 90’s, Death Becomes Her. Full of amazing performances, it zips along hilariously, leaving us wondering if we would take the potion.

This week we lean into the heat and give our brains a vacation with some true campy, sharky, silliness. We watched Jaws 3D and The Meg and had a lot of fun screaming at the tv.

This week we are discussing a point and click adventure game, inspired by Twin Peaks. Kathy Rain is a fun, surreal, investigation based game from indie studio Clifftop Games. It has great characters, fun puzzles and a fun and surprising story with lots of Twin Peaks easter eggs to find.

This week we are revisiting and commenting over the first episode of Sanditon. Now that we know the end, it was a blast to go back to the start and remember Charlotte and our first impression of the town and it’s inhabitants.

This week we look at a somewhat recent horror movie, Mandy. It is very beautiful and very crazy, features a great unhinged Nicholas Cage performance and seems to be at least somewhat influenced by David Lynch. It’s definitely the kind of movie you want to talk about after you see it!

This week we continue our summer of fun and crack into another childhood favorite. A very fun extremely quotable movie that has never received enough love, we have blast breaking it down.

This week we start our fun nostalgia tour with the 1986 Henson classic Labyrinth. Such a great movie all around from the music to the performances to the amazing puppetry, we love this movie!

This week we bid adieu to a delightful final season of Sanditon. Matches are made, weddings are attended and the town is left significantly better than where it began. Overall an excellent season.

This we is the penultimate episode of Sanditon and it seems like the darkest hour before dawn has arrived. Augusta’s reputation, Charlotte’s heart and Mary’s life all hang in the balance.

This week we are on to the second half of Sanditon S3. It seems like the worst may be behind us and yet there are still many hearts that need mending and plenty of heart to hearts to be had.

This week is an emotional rollercoaster on Sanditon S3 episode 3. We scream at our televisions several times, both with anger and delight. Old friends show their support and new friends show their worth and of course the questions of who’s hearts will connect are forever in the air.

This week we cover episode 2 and are still utterly delighted by this season of Sanditon. A famous soprano comes to town and sings to soothe all the pining hearts, meanwhile Georgiana must steel herself for a fight, and a second Colbourne arrives on the scene.

This week we cover episode one of the third and final season of Sanditon. We once again travel to the seaside town of Sanditon and it seems like love is in the air. We predict that everyone will fall in love this season and just wonder with who, but there are still villainous men afoot.

This week we watched a couple of episodes of Hotel Room’s spiritual successor, Room 104. We chose 2 random episodes, “Swipe Right” from season two and “Crossroads” from season three. The comparison to Hotel Room was illuminating and we really enjoyed the performances in both episodes.

This week we cover David Lynch’s Hotel Room, a hard to find short lived show from 1992. It was on HBO but only 3 episodes were ever made. It’s interesting and strange and may not have lived up to it’s potential but it had a great cast and some interesting premises.

This week we have another re-release episode, Bridget Jones’s Diary. A first time viewing for both of us we give you our first impressions of the movie. Spoiler alert, we liked it just as it was.

This week we cover one of Christian’s childhood favorites, The Road to El Dorado by Dreamworks animation. This short and sweet movie is full of adventure and cute animal companions and short on menace. We enjoyed the novelty of watching conmen be the heroes of a children’s movie.

This week we are re-releasing a great episode we did with Twin Peaks Unwrapped, covering the Twin Peaks themed episode of Psych titled Dual Spires. The episode was great fun to record and we hope you will have a blast revisiting it!

This week we are covering the 2013 movie Austenland. A first for both of us, we really enjoyed the fabulous cast that helped propel the movie into a very funny romantic comedy.

This week we wrap up our unexpected two parter of The Menu. We speculate about the elaborate plan, cult like mentalities, and fine dining culture. Listen to find our our ultimate conclusions on this interesting movie.

This week we cover a new release, The Menu. It has connections to David Lynch and is relevant to one of our favorite interests….food. We fully intended to cover it all in this episode but we had too much to say so this will be a two parter.

This week we do something just for fun and cover the 1988 movie Willow. It’s got action and adventure, comedy and high stakes and is just so very ‘80s. We also round out or discussion with a little chat about the new series.

This week we try something different and cover a game series inspired by Twin Peaks. The Cube Escape/Rusty Lake series have been releasing games, since 2015, in the point and click, surrealist, adventure realm. We had a lot of fun playing the games and do our best to share our thoughts on them with you.

This week we finish up with Fanny, Portsmouth, the Bertram’s and Mansfield Park, ‘99.
Sir Thomas tries to teach Fanny a lesson but he is the one who has his eyes opened. Our opinions change several times and in the end we celebrate this adaptation!

This week we start a on new Mansfield Park, the 1999 Miramax adaptation. This adaptation merges Mansfield Park with Austen’s juvenilia as well as Jane’s real life. It’s sexy, it’s deep, and it has Harold Pinter. What more could we want in a movie?

We are back from our break and easing out of the holidays with this quick catch-up episode. We talk resolutions and recommendations and take our favorite quiz yet.
