In this podcast episode, I introduce you to Shaylee, who shares her powerful story of witnessing her father murder her mother when she was just 11 years old. Despite the trauma she experienced, Shaylee emphasizes that healing is possible no matter what kind of trauma one has been through. She talks about her journey of healing, including her initial denial and attempts to portray everything as fine, and her turning point when she started talking to her father and realized she needed to face and work through her emotions. Shaylee also reflects on the challenges of her father's trial, where he tried to avoid accountability by claiming he didn't remember the incident. Despite this, she has now developed a relationship with her father and achieved a sense of healing.
