32: Urs Fischer, Fußballgott!
Wilson, Mark, Bas, Don, & Kyle are in the studio for this episode of Mattuschka’s Right Peg.
Urs Fischer is no longer head coach of 1. FC Union Berlin, with a departure mutually agreed following the well spoken about poor run of form. We react to the news, ask where we go from here, and reminisce about the most incredible journey Urs took us on since joining the club in 2018.
If you want to get in contact with us, the best place to do so is here.
Thanks as always to Die Wallerts for the intro and to you for listening.

31: Therapy
Wilson, Mark, Bas, Don, Cherrie & Kyle are in the studio for this episode (or therapy session) of Mattuschka’s Right Peg.
We’ve been away since the international break and in the four games since, not much has changed. Union are still losing games, and now we’re out of the DFB-Pokal so we try to look at where things have gone so wrong, and how we might emerge from this funk.
We’ll be back after the game against Leverkusen, and hopefully we’ll have something to cheer about!
If you want to get in contact with us, the best place to do so is here.
Thanks as always to Die Wallerts for the intro and to you for listening.

27: ¡Viviremos Para Siempre!
The episode title is the penultimate line of our club hymn in Spanish. Given the subject matter, it felt most apt. Wir werden ewig leben. We will live forever.
Wilson, Bas, Mark, & Kyle are finally joined by Cherrie for this episode of Mattuschka's Right Peg.
We talk about the 2-1 defeat in Wolfsburg and look ahead to our historic first Champions League game in the club's history away to record champions Real Madrid.
We end the podcast talking about a man that meant so much to Union and the Unioner among many others. Matti Michalke passed away on August 18th after a serious illness. A memorial service for Matti was held at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei last Sunday. Bas shares his thoughts from the service and gives us a glimpse into the impact Matti had in his incredible life.

18: INTERNATIONAL!
Wilson, Mark, Bas & Kyle are back to reflect on the most incredible of afternoons as Union Berlin qualified for European football in the most incredible fashion. We cover events outside the ground after the game, with insights as to what it was like on the ground. Kyle introduces us to the "2. Bundesliga of European football" in the UEFA Europa Conference League, and we speculate ahead to how the team may look next season.
Of course, some of this is old news now, as it was recorded the Monday after the last matchday, Kyle is blaming 'celebrations' as to why it took 10 days for the episode to come out. Complaints can (and should) be sent his way on twitter

Episode 3: Black Lives Matter
Welcome to Episode Three of Mattuschka's Right Peg, a podcast in English about 1. FC Union Berlin.
Sometimes there's issues that transcend football, so it was only appropriate we cover #BlackLivesMatter in the first section of the podcast. We look at it from an Union perspective, covering some of the strong voices that have come out of the club in the last fortnight, and experiences on the terraces. We all must do better.
In this episode Wilson, Mark & Kyle were joined by Bas, another member of the Union In Englisch group.
We also cover VSG Altglienicke, a neighbour club of Union, who had been flying high in Regionalliga Nordost (German 4th tier) before Corona took hold.
We then reflect on Borussia Mönchengladbach, and look ahead to Schalke on Sunday.
A big thanks to Die Wallerts for the intro music and also a big thanks to you for listening, we didn't expect such a nice response so it means a lot to us.
