Wilson, Mark, Bas & Kyle are joined by special guest, Stuart James of The Athletic for this episode of Mattuschka’s Right Peg.
Stuart has been writing about Union in the Champions League this season, and gives a fascinating insight into his experiences in his time with the club this season.
Mark, Bas and Kyle were at the Alte Försterei and Olympiastadion last Tuesday for the Youth League and Champions League double-header against Braga. The episode title is the penultimate line of our club hymn in Spanish. Given the subject matter, it felt most apt. Wir werden ewig leben. We will live forever.

We talk about the 2-1 defeat in Wolfsburg and look ahead to our historic first Champions League game in the club's history away to record champions Real Madrid.
We end the podcast talking about a man that meant so much to Union and the Unioner among many others. Matti Michalke passed away on August 18th after a serious illness. A memorial service for Matti was held at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei last Sunday. Bas shares his thoughts from the service and gives us a glimpse into the impact Matti had in his incredible life.

To cover off the 18 months we were away, we look back at our favourite matches from that spell. Reflecting that last time out we had just qualified for the Conference League, and well now look where we are. We look back at the DFB-Pokal Quarter-Final at Frankfurt midweek, and the league game vs Stuttgart before looking forward to our trip to the Westfalenstadion to face Dortmund.

18: INTERNATIONAL!
Wilson, Mark, Bas & Kyle are back to reflect on the most incredible of afternoons as Union Berlin qualified for European football in the most incredible fashion. We cover events outside the ground after the game, with insights as to what it was like on the ground. Kyle introduces us to the "2. Bundesliga of European football" in the UEFA Europa Conference League, and we speculate ahead to how the team may look next season.
Of course, some of this is old news now, as it was recorded the Monday after the last matchday, Kyle is blaming 'celebrations' as to why it took 10 days for the episode to come out. Complaints can (and should) be sent his way on twitter

Welcome to a very special episode of Mattuschka's Right Peg where Wilson is joined by Joe Bryant (@AwayDayJoe_ on Twitter) who is currently building the Stadion An der Alten Försterei from scratch with Lego!
Joe's tells us about how he got into building Bundesliga stadia, what goes into building them as well as the fun way he ended up building our Alte Försterei. Joe also shares some stories of the response he's received from Unioner since he started to build our ground.

Welcome to Episode Three of Mattuschka's Right Peg, a podcast in English about 1. FC Union Berlin.
Sometimes there's issues that transcend football, so it was only appropriate we cover #BlackLivesMatter in the first section of the podcast. We look at it from an Union perspective, covering some of the strong voices that have come out of the club in the last fortnight, and experiences on the terraces. We all must do better.
In this episode Wilson, Mark & Kyle were joined by Bas, another member of the Union In Englisch group.
We also cover VSG Altglienicke, a neighbour club of Union, who had been flying high in Regionalliga Nordost (German 4th tier) before Corona took hold.
