Maybe Nets Time

While much of Nets Twitter is despairing over the loss of Kyrie Irving and his ever faithful lackey KD, we feel like celebrating: this long three year nightmare is finally over! No one has enjoyed watching this team slowly tear itself apart, so why should we be upset by it finally breaking up? Shouldn’t we all be celebrating a future that does NOT include Kyrie Irving? He’s going to be someone else’s problem soon!

Can Kyrie actually be dealt? Will Sean Marks trade Joe Harris? Will Caris Levert boomerang back to the Nets? We explore all the potential trades the Nets might get into, then turn to our other passion: fashion.

First we welcome Nets Nation residents to the Cam Thomas revolution. Then we discuss Claxton, Harden, KD, and the rest of that ragtag gang of hoopsters sitting atop the Eastern Conference. Finally we discuss fast food, turkey, and other “fun” topics.

How good have the Nets been this season? Have we seen who they are, or is there room for growth? And in the end we just end up talking good old fashioned comfort food.

The Nets have won 7 of their last 8 not because of their Big 3 but because of the self-described “Blue Collar Boys” who are picking this team up by their bootstraps. We pay homage to these heroic working class figures, then talk about the thing on every Nets fans mind: who will win the Deron Williams v. Frank Gore fight.

We talk with one of the most important voices in Nets nation, Steve Lichtenstein (12:55). Plus we’ve got some Consumerism Corner, a little Stats Station, and a whole lot more. Giddy up.

We make some series predictions before being joined by the Boston Globe’s Gary Washburn (24:35) to discuss all things Nets vs. Celtics. Simon thinks this is going to be a close series. The rest of the people on the pod...not so much.

To honor the impending return of the Big 3, we look back on some of the Nets we’ve lost this year (we miss you Noah Vonleh!). Then we wade into the rebranding of Barclays Center waters, before doing a playoff preview.
