Small Projects Istanbul is one of the organizations serving displaced people in Turkey, and as their mission statement notes, they are “dedicated to helping those displaced by conflict in the Middle East and North Africa region rebuild their lives through supporting community development, education and empowerment.” In this episode, we’ll hear from Martin, the Project & Volunteers Coordinator, about his journey and work at SPI, what it’s like to work in a culturally diverse setting, and the role of volunteers in SPI’s work.
