In this episode I ask the question I get most often these days, "How do you deal with nervous system dysregulation?" I talk about some of the things that have helped me in these last several months, including practical tips but also mental and emotional ones too. Anyone dealing with chronic illness, mysterious symptoms, or nervous system issues understands how all-consuming and debilitating this situation can be. Audio from IG live 01/12/2023.

This episode comes from a Facebook LIVE I did and gives you a little bit of information on ways nervous system dysregulation can show up or manifest into physical symptoms. I describe ways I've seen my symptoms show up since May 2022, how they've changed, and how you may also have a dysregulated nervous system even though your symptoms may be different.

Today I talk about a recent interview with Dr. Fauci where he tells Americans to be prepared for more lockdowns based on a new subvariant, BA.2. Fauci makes a claim that we will have to get used to "pivoting" back and forth between normal life and being restricted like we were at the beginning of the pandemic, even thought this new variant is even LESS deadly than any other we've seen. Today's interview with nurse Danielle was originally recorded summer of 2021. She talks about how "true health" including physical activity was never discussed as a treatment measure during the pandemic. The focus SHOULD be on preventative care -- behaviors and patterns that keep people from being sick in the first place. That makes them less likely to burden the medical and/or hospital system and also a safer member of society. However this pandemic has shown that, while they had a captive audience, keeping people from getting sick was never the point.

This episode, originally recorded early in 2021, discusses a part of the pandemic no one has been talking about -- Labor & Delivery and how birthing moms have been affected by mitigation policies. This nurse explains how new babies were separated from their mothers for several weeks after birth even if there was a "suspected positive" or completely asymptomatic case. New mothers were also not allowed to breastfeed, perhaps the most important action step needed to protect the babies for their growth and development and foundational health. She also discusses the misguided policies removing birthing partners, laboring partners, spouses, and forcing masks on laboring women, and how they added to the obstacles for those going through what should have been one of the most important times of their lives. 

Today I talk about something that won't seem to go away C A N C E L  C U L T U R E. I address Chappelle's new comedy special "The Closer", why it's causing controversy, and how cancel culture works. Then I delve into an article written by psychologist Kimberly Wilson who says cancel culture is TOXIC to our mental health. I finish this episode by quoting a second article on cancel culture, one that warns by stifling open debate in the population, we are harming more than just one conversation, we are harming them all.

(Originally recorded May 16, 2021) Melissa - "To somebody who's still afraid, afraid to be anywhere without their mask, afraid to go outside or venture outside, afraid to be around people who haven't had the vaccine yet...from a nurse's perspective, what advice would you give them?" Angie - "For those who still do feel afraid to go and be around other people: 1) this has never been what they made it out to be, so there is no fear there, and 2) there are a lot of great ways to take care of your body and your immune system and those things matter far more than any of these other measures that have been put in place."

Today I discuss the recent publication in the scientific journal NATURE that confirms vaccinated people are spreading the Delta variant up to three times more frequently than prior strains. The key finding was that the viral load in infected people was the same between the fully vaccinated and unvaccinated, meaning the ability to infect someone else was equal. This reinforces early theories by scientists around the globe that admitted this vaccine would not be able to stop transmission of SARS-Cov-2. Why is this important? If the main reason behind policy mandates—forcing millions out of their jobs and a right to education—is "public responsibility" to "keep others in the community safe", then this data proves that isn't happening or even possible. 📝 Article: https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-021-02187-1

"When does it end? How many doses are enough? How many layers of mitigation are enough? Triple vaccine...double mask...six feet apart...and don't leave your house? I mean, how many layers are going to be enough for people to feel like we can finally move on?" Today I discuss Chris Rock's statement that he was infected post-vaccine as well as look at some tweets from his supporters and others who describe their post-vax infections. I also break down an organization's pamphlet created to increase confidence in the Covid vaccine by polling parents to see what it would take for them to get their kids vaccinated.

"You cannot argue that a medical intervention designed to SIMULATE your actual immune system is going to somehow work better than the immune system it's modeled after." 🗣 Today I talk about an article that was nationally distributed in USA Today and Yahoo News discussing one of my tweets. The topic was natural immunity versus artificially-induced immunity related to CV. Did the author actually break down my argument or did he unknowingly reinforce it? Today I speak with Chelsea Patton who is a registered nurse from the East Coast who weighs in on her experience during the pandemic. She talks about how fear caused many unnecessary deaths, how the initial medical response missed the mark, and how vaccine reactions are underreported. Chelsea is involved in fighting for nurses' rights within the nurses union and in political action committees that help preserve medical autonomy and patient care.

"It's a heroic person to believe a lie for 20, 30, 40 years and face it, and then have to deal with the emotions that come from that shift in your belief system. The vaccine...what a beautiful lie to believe in. That's easy right? If we could believe in that lie then all you have to do is get your two shots, then you don't have to wear a mask, and you could get back to normal, and you could hug your family..." 🗣 Today I speak with nurse Laura Minard who sheds some light on the dangers of universal hospital protocols, the silencing of health care workers during the pandemic, and why it's risky to think conventional medicine is the only option for healing your body.

Today's nurse remains anonymous but shares her experience as a traveling critical care nurse working in the ICU who saw first-hand the devastation  of Covid policies and mitigation strategies. She shares how hospitals were incentivized to report as many cases of Covid as possible to qualify for FEMA-paid nurses to essentially work as "free labor" for the hospital. "We're in the middle of the biggest clinical trial in the history of the world because hundreds of millions of people are going to be getting this [vaccine] BLINDLY, and my mind is still blown that people are just lining up for this without much information..." 🗣 This is the first in a series of interviews with nurses across the country speaking about their experience over the last year. Today's guest will not be anonymous, her name is Michele Woonton. Michele is a retired nurse from the East Coast with decades of experience, and she wants to encourage logical dialogue on medical matters, even if that makes it "controversial" to do so.

There was a time when debate was celebrated...we no longer live in that time. Critical thinking is the new thing to stay away from according to the author of this (somewhat ridiculous) NY Times article.

"All of the things that we've done and we're no better off -- a year later -- regarding health." Today I discuss a new face mask study, breaking down the flimsiness of the "data". Later I talk about how the medical interventions we've been advised to do over this last year have done thing to improve the health of the people, thus limiting our true protection from illness.

Today I interview chiropractor Dr. Tommy John discussing how his own sports history led him to become a practitioner and why chiropractors get a bad rap in the mainstream medical community. We also talk about fear, the state of the world during this pandemic, and the important role the mind plays on our physiology, our ability to heal, and our ability to stay healthy. 

"I think people who love freedom and love liberty ascribe to basically two general principles which are: one, nobody should really cause harm to anybody else and number two, that people should be responsible for their own lives.  When the government plays a big role in their lives, it actually prohibits them from asserting control and autonomy over their own life." 🗣Today I speak with Anthony Sabatini, attorney and government representative for the state of Florida. He breaks down the true principles of libertarianism, discusses the dangers of big government, and points out how the pandemic simply revealed the true (dependent and fearful) nature of our citizens. He also shares his legal expertise on what types of lawsuits he feels will be successful regarding the overreaching mitigation policies across the country. This is a very informative episode, you won't want to miss it!

"As a mom, I tend to compartmentalize; and when I'm at work, my kids are not in my head. I cannot think about where they are, what they're doing, or how their day is going. I have to be focused on being able to be home for them when my shift is over. I need to be able to go home at night. We say it all the time. At the beginning of the shift, we do our little briefing and the next words out of everybody's mouths are, 'We go home tonight.' " 🗣 Today I speak with another female cop who helps us understand a little more about life as a law enforcement officer in the US today dealing with fight or flight, fear, the defund the police movement, corruption, and being misunderstood. One of the most important topics we cover is the huge influx of individuals with special needs in the community and how that can lead to problems with how officers respond to them during calls or disturbances. She explains the importance of communication and understanding and reveals how this issue hits particularly close to home for her because of her own family members struggling with autism. *Note: this interview was recorded June, 2020.

"I am extremely healthy. So I am consistently improving the health of the community around me. And I'm doing the same for my children who are also very healthy and have never had doctors' visits, and have never been on antibiotics. They are not the sick kids getting everybody else sick. I am not a sick adult getting everybody else sick. But somehow all that effort, all that work, all that time I put into it doesn't count for anything. No matter how hard you try to be a good person in society, if you do not follow the narrative, it doesn't matter. And it is so difficult to be on the receiving end of this vitriol when you know you have worked so hard to be a good member of society. "This COVID vaccine is not without risk. So requiring something like this steps over the line. It's steps over that line. We're talking about a 99.5% recovery rate, and even higher if you're under 70 years old... They're telling you if you don't comply, you don't get to be a part of society." 🗣 Today I talk about the brand new policy announced by Ticketmaster and Live Nation to require COVID testing and/or proof of a COVID vaccine in order to attend entertainment and sporting events across the United States. This policy, claimed to be all for "public health", is invasive, discriminatory, and opens the door to some serious medical privacy issues and potential data breaches. Mandating medical interventions with inherent risk for citizens to take part in social events crosses a serious ethical line, one that as a society, we need to make sure never gets crossed. **On this episode I also give a shout out BY (first) NAME to all my monthly supporters! 👏

"Here's the bottom line. There are two possibilities for what a human being will react to when they hear these kind of inconsistencies. If somebody said that antibody tests either mean you had the virus or you didn't, there are two possible reactions you can have. One—which is what most people have—is 'Man, this stuff is so complicated I can't possibly understand it, so I'm gonna leave it to the experts.' That's one possible reaction. The other possible reaction is, 'These guys don't know what they're talking about...I don't buy it, and I'm gonna look into it myself.' That's what I did. People have to trust their own sense of thinking and their own intuition, and that's what they don't." 🗣 Today I finish the discussion with Dr. Tom Cowan, a medical doctor, on the controversial idea that viruses may in fact NOT be what we think they are. He discusses his earlier beliefs on the definition of pathogens, Koch's postulates, and eventually what led him to a different conclusion—one several doctors around the world are also contemplating. "If anybody has a paper out there in the scientific literature that says they have evidence of an isolated, purified, characterized virus, causing disease in any animal or human and it's absolutely the method I described, I will stop the publication of this book. All I can say is having grown up the same way as everybody else, I would have never have expected that I would be saying this 30 years ago... Now, after examining and examining and talking to my whole team, all of whom have looked through the literature, this is as accurate as I can get it." 🗣 Today I talk to Dr. Tom Cowan, a medical doctor and author of multiple books, including "The Contagion Myth" and "Vaccines, Autoimmunity, and the Changing Nature of Childhood Disease." Today he offers you something TOTALLY different: a theory that perhaps viruses don't exist after all. He talks about the lack of conclusive science and and his belief that even though this is completely contrary to everything we've been taught about contagiousness and viruses, maybe it's time for a second look at the data.

"Every time we have good news when we look at the data, somebody's trying to point out something to continue keeping everyone in a state of fear. That's part of why I think they're keeping the mask mandates. I think visually when you see a population of people wearing something over the face it's a constant reminder — germs, sickness, illness, danger, worry, fear." (My personal commentary) 🗣 Today I discuss an excellent article showing data by Dr. Yeadon, former Chief Scientist for pharmaceutical giant Pfizer. Dr. Yeadon's findings lead him to the conclusion that there should not be a second wave of Covid because in his words, "the pandemic is over." He also touches on how Covid-19 is NOT a novel coronavirus, how the herd immunity threshold (HIT) is much lower than we think for this virus, and why lockdowns have not reduced the cases or deaths from SARS-Cov-2.

"The biggest thing I tell people is I say 'it's my turn now', right? I swore an oath in the Marine Corps to uphold the Constitution and defend my country. And now it's my turn to have that Constitution work for me, and time for me to be able to express my rights--not just defend it, but for me to actually BE a small business owner that can succeed and live the American Dream." 🗣 Today I talk with gym owner and former US military officer Jeff Mahaffey from Arizona. Jeff fought back against shelter-in-place orders that required both of his business locations to shut down, despite the state refusing to show sufficient data or evidence to support that requirement. He realized putting food on the table was more important than the misdemeanor citations—willing to go to court if he had to to protect his freedoms as an American citizen. In this episode he also gives other small business owners some unique advice on how to move forward legally and keep businesses open during these overreaching executive orders.

"There's something nefarious behind the scenes because none of this makes sense if you think about it. Who in their right mind would want to destabilize law enforcemenr? Who would want to have chaos? Who would want to throw fuel on a fire with protests while everybody was already stressed out from being quarantined? None of it makes sense, so there has to be a bigger, hidden agenda underneath it." 🗣 Today I talk with 19-year police veteran Dominick Izzo from outside Chicago about the frequency of police brutality, the obvious political differences in the world affecting law enforcement, and where the recent call to "defund the police" will really take us. As a former use-of-force instructor, Dominick also walks us through what does and doesn't qualify as acceptable use of force and gives his advice about how communities and law enforcement officers can get to a better place together. "The biggest concern I have is we have lost sight of true public health. They've become COVID officers and that's it. And all of the other facets of public health—emotional health, other illnesses, financial health, mental health—all of these things have completely fallen by the wayside. And too many of our public health officers, and CLEARLY our governor, all they care about is Covid." 🗣 Today I talk with Kirk Uhler, a longtime member of the Board of Supervisors for Placer County, CA. Kirk shares the news about being the first county in the state to remove the public health emergency allowing citizens to finally get back to work and back to life. He also talks about a dangerous new proposition on the ballot in November that he thinks is behind the efforts to keep schools closed in California and gives his advice on what residents should do about it. 

"If you're so scared that you expect schools to close because you're a teacher and you're saying you're risking your life if you go back to teaching in a school... then what are you doing leaving your house ever? I sure hope you don't go places. I hope you don't go to the store, I hope you don't go ANYWHERE there are people. Because if this virus is really that deadly, and you think a piece of cloth covering people's faces is going to be the thing that keeps you from getting it, you're delusional. If it's really that scary, you should NEVER leave your house." 🗣 Today is Part 2 of Barry Brownstein's article, "How the Government Sells Fear and Sickness - the Case of the Flu." And at the end, I read a shocking company letter filled with dishonesty and misinformation from a healthcare facility sent to an employee regarding the flu vaccine.

"Many of us think we know about the flu vaccine. We believe it prevents the flu, or at the very least, reduces complications from the flu, thus reducing deaths. The flu story we THINK we know is not supported by medical evidence. The history of the flu vaccine is a cautionary tale about the crony capitalist rush for a Covid-19 vaccine." 🗣 It's that time of year again. Today I give you some flu shot facts! I also break down a great article (How the Government Sells Fear and Sickness: The Case of the Flu) from Barry Brownstein, professor of economics at the University of Baltimore. He discusses the flu vaccine campaign, how it's aggressively marketed, and how it's based on very weak, even non-existent, science. Brownstein supports his findings with data from Peter Doshi and epidemiologist and Dr. Tom Jefferson. 

"Now you go on social media and you only get to see one opinion. So how do you expect people to ever have a differing point of view? They aren't allowed to make their own choices really. It's almost, in a sense, like mind control because people aren't allowed to see a different point of view...so of course they're going to align with the ONLY point of view that they see. It's a really scary thing." 🗣 Today I talk with Prager U's Will Witt, a young Conservative who has developed a following because of his willingness to tackle some tough questions and present the information to the public. With over a quarter of a million followers on his social media channels, Will has been busy educating young adults on what Conservatism really is. In this interview, we get to know Will a little better — what he was like as a child, how his political beliefs have changed over time, and the importance of personal responsibility. "It is likely that a large number of the daily reported infection numbers are purely due to viral debris. If we do a PCR corona test on an immune person, it is not a virus that is detected but a small shattered part of the viral genome. So even if the infectious viruses are long dead, a corona test can come back positive because the PCR method multiplies even a tiny fraction of the viral genetic material—enough to be detected." (Dr. Beda Sadler) 🗣 Today is Part 2 of the discussion on the amazing article written by immunologist, epidemiologist, and biologist Dr. Beda Sadler of Switzerland ("Coronavirus: Why Everyone Was Wrong"). The topics of this continuation episode include asymptomatic transmission, faulty PCR testing, and why Sadler feels a second lockdown is a TERRIBLE idea.

For a virus to be "novel" it must be brand new, never seen before, and completely foreign to our bodies. The entire premise behind "medical experts" so frequently changing their advice and interpretation on what behaviors we should and shouldn't do to slow the spread of Covid-19 is based on the idea that it is "novel." But an article from a well-known Swiss biologist and epidemiologist entitled, "Coronavirus, Why Everyone Was Wrong," questions this idea with new data. Today I read this amazing article during the first part of two episodes of this topic and discuss his ideas (and my own) including the controversial yet oft-cited theory of "asymptomatic transmission." When we're both upset and we're standing together holding each other's hands and crying together...DO YOU REALLY THINK COLOR MATTERS IN THAT MOMENT?" 🗣 Today I finish up my interview with viral sensation and Black conservative Bevelyn Beatty. We talk about pandering, generalizations about Black culture, and why we should be focusing on our humanity instead. She tells me a bit about her brief run for state legislator and gives some advice to the Black community moving forward. Enjoy some moments of laughter with this episode! 😉

She talks about the Democratic party, the welfare system, and the concept of "white privilege" -- offering her personal experience and explaining her belief system as a Black Conservative.

"When I'm talking to the Black community I just lay it out very simplistically: do you want me to be a person that's giving you something or do you want me to show you how to make it on your own, and then...it can continue on and you can build a legacy? The Republican party is about empowerment and self accountability—to leverage yourself and create the lifestyle you want." 🗣 Today I talk with Major Williams, a Black Conservative Republican running against Gavin Newsom for Governor of California 2022. He is driven, confident, and anxious to help create a different type of leadership that focuses on empowering the citizens of this country. We learn about his humble upbringing and the development of his platform--which was born out of his belief that the Democratic party has been hindering, not helping, the Black community he is a part of.

"People see wearing a mask as a sign that you're a good person... ‘An example of my moral character. This gives me a pedestal over other people who DON'T do this because they are irresponsible and selfish, but I'm not, because look at my mask.' It doesn't matter that masks don't work to prevent transmision of a virus. Somehow that's insconsequential. Fauci says it's a 'symbol.' I don't know about you guys, but if it doesn't work, I'm not gonna do it — I'm not gonna do something just for symbolism." 🗣 Today I talk about the terms "virtue signaling" and "performative allyship." I discuss them both as it relates to mask-wearing during Covid and the public display of support for racial equality in the country. I share some quotes from writers covering these terms and also use real world examples. (Warning: if you're guilty of virtue signaling, you may be triggered). 🤭

"It means a lot for me to be able to share my heart with people. I wanted to make sure I was real and that people could feel where I was coming from — so that they know when you see an officer, that's a regular person underneath the badge and the uniform who lives, breathes, thinks, and feels just like they do." 🗣 Today is Part 2 of the interview with a biracial police officer who shares with us his perspective on being caught in the middle of racial tensions as well as a war between citizens and law enforcement. I can change one person's outlook that not all officers are bad." 🗣 Today I talk with a biracial police officer who will restore your faith in humanity. The son of a black man who has had a long and successful career as a police officer himself, my guest today demonstrates exactly the kind of moral fortitude you wish to see in not just law enforcement, but in everyone. He talks about his struggle to fit into either of the communities he is a part of and he shares how being biracial gives him a unique perspective during times of tension between law enforcement and the black community.

"There's no driving force to make [improving health] happen and that's why I said cynically, 'There's no money in it.' Because you don't have big drug companies making big money on this, and that's part of the problem." 🗣 Today I continue speaking with Minnesota State Senator and Dr. Scott Jensen about coronavirus. We discuss how improving the health of the public has NOT been a part of the conversation with state and federal leaders, why mask usage isn't going to save us, and how the CDC has "gone off the rails" and needs to become less hypocritical and less political. He finishes by reminding everyone why it's so important to be a skeptic and come to your own conclusions.

The Covid-19 is not like a game of tag where if a Covid-19 particle touches you you're it..." 🗣 Today I talk with Minnesota State Senator and Dr. Scott Jensen, family physician and teaching professor at the University of Minnesota for over 30 years. He talks about how effective masks are (spoiler alert: they're not!), and we discuss how political leaders make policy decisions without science and how the unintended consequences of lockdown, while difficult to measure, are just as real.

"Bill Gates wants to make his vaccine available to every person on the planet, and you know what, to me that ONLY makes sense if this is life-threatening to every person on the planet. But it's not. It's not life-threatening for over 99% of the people on the planet. I mean it's almost laughable when you break it down like this. "I was having a discussion with my black friends, and somebody got angry with me...and he wanted to fight me. I'll always remember this moment. I didn't want to fight him. He said, 'The reason you won't fight me is because you've been hanging out with these white kids too long.'
