"What was my unexpected miracle?”- with Mirenda Canady

As we are navigating our Christian walk, we have a certain outcome in mind for our situation. However, God often does things in a way that is beyond what we could ever think or imagine. Today, I am speaking with Miranda Canady about how God moved in a miraculous way in the life of her daughter. It was a very heart warming story. Mrs Canady is sharing what this journey has been like for her, how the Lord has encouraged her during this journey and how she is now encouraging other mothers.  She is a spiritual growth coach and is passionate about helping others to understand the Bible and apply it to their daily lives.  In addition to being a spiritual growth coach, Mrs Canady is a wife and Bible Study Leader.  She created the non-profit WhyStayMarried in which she encourages women who find themselves in difficult marriages and encourages them to study the bible, practice self-care and engage in community service.   You can connect with Ms Canady via LinkedIn. “What is my TRUE identity?” with Tonja Davis

“What is my TRUE identity?” with Tonja Davis

Hello! Today I am speaking with Tonja Davis.  I recently attended one of her journaling labs and it was SUCH a blessing!   Ms Davis is an educator, an author, a minister, a non-profit owner, a certified life coach and a third level mental health coach.  She works to equip women with tools and strategies to shed the negative labels, rise up, and go forth in their true identity as a Daddy’s Little Girl by seeing God as Father. Ms Davis does this by equipping the Warrior within you to declare W.A.A.R. against the “lies” in your beliefs that block you from becoming all you were designed to be; Healed and Whole. She is most appreciative to God for being the mother of three beautiful daughters and three grandchildren.  Today, Ms Davis and I are talking about her personal struggle with identity and how she was able to identify her true identity in Christ.  You can connect with Ms Davis on IG @thedaughtersplace or at her website.  Per Ms Davis, "Don't read the Bible to find out what to do. Read the Bible to find out who you are. Because when you find out who you are, it WILL change what you do." --- DISCLAIMER:  Mindful Nuggets was a podcast to support women who are on their mental and spiritual wellness journey.  Please note that the information provided here is from my own perspective and some from what I have found through research.  If you take any information from this podcast, you are doing so at your own risk.  Listening to this podcast episode does not replace the need to seek out the support of a trained mental health professional. Can we talk about celibacy? Interview with J.P. Austin

Can we talk about celibacy? Interview with J.P. Austin

I had the privilege of speaking with JP Austin about her celibacy journey.  I discovered JP Austin through this article.  When I read that article, I said, I have to get to know her!  I am always so eager to see what she has to share on her IG page.   Here's some information about JP: As a single millennial who has been actively practicing celibacy for nearly a decade, JP has learned to wrestle hard and wrestle well with God on topics of sex, singleness, and relationships.  And she has experienced God’s freedom, power, and redemptive purpose in her journey of navigating purity amid today’s culture. In hearing the growing countless frustrations of her single girlfriends and close circles regarding singleness, sex, and dating, JP feels inspired to share her journey of navigating sex and relationships as a single Christian. Through her story, JP hopes to encourage this generation to begin to include Christ in their most intimate relational details and decisions. Discovering that any season surrendered to Christ, is a good one. JP is the also the Creator of The Submissive Feminist Blog, a women’s blog committed to submitting to biblical truth for everyday living. More samples of her work can be found on her personal site, www.thejpaustin.com. -- DISCLAIMER:  Mindful Nuggets by Tasha T is a podcast that was created to uplift and inspire.  This podcast does not replace the process of sitting down with a mental health professional who can assist you with processing your own mental wellness journey.

What is my purpose? Interview with Dr Sherri Yoder

Today, I am talking with Dr Sherri Yoder about her journey to discover her true purpose.  Here's a little about Dr Sherri:  Dr. Sherri abandoned her post as Clinical Psychologist in the treatment arena of mental health in favor of a thought leadership position in mental ill-health prevention. She is pioneering the promotion of mental health, an underrepresented effort particularly in the United States, through her nonprofit which seeks to teach women innovative and sustainable thought practices so they can build and protect their mental, emotional, and relational well-being. Dr. Sherri elevates proactive mental health care through content development, keynote speaking, program and product development, grant writing, podcasting, collaboration with other thought leaders, and social conversations. She seeks to put an end to popular messages that disempower individuals from taking charge of their mental health by equipping women to do so. Dr. Sherri believes it is women who will create the sweeping cultural changes needed to effect meaningful and sustainable change. In addition to her nonprofit work, Dr. Sherri is a Thought Coach, author, and blogger. Is this what I expected? - with Joy Kitanga-Dabo

Is this what I expected? - with Joy Kitanga-Dabo

Today, I am talking to Joy Kitanga-Dabo about her experience with going from being a single lady to being married!   Here's some information about Joy:  Joy is a servant of the LORD, wife, and mom (three young children: Gloria, Nyakeh and Joshua). Joy has learned to navigate through life with prayer and Scripture. She was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo and raised in a small village by Christian parents who showed her God’s love. Joy had a strong conviction that God loved her at an early age and desired to know Him. However, that conviction was challenged when she was given away to a family member where she witnessed and learned about the impact of miscarriages. She also struggled with her faith as she was taught that to serve God one needed a special calling with spiritual gift. Consequently, her family experience and the faith struggle in the church left her feeling not good enough for God to work through her. Through counseling, prayer, and Scripture she rediscovered that love, built her faith and decided to share that knowledge of God’s love with everyone she meets. She is the founder of God Imprints Ministries where she teaches, inspires, and encourages women and family to seek God and pray. She is a dynamic teacher who leads women’s Bible studies and mentor women who desire to grow and develop prayer strategy. She is excited to talk about women of the Bible, especially Hagar and the Samaritan Woman. Joy loves hiking, spending time with family sharing food and playing games, listening to all genres of Christian music, writing (journaling) and resting on Sabbath. She is a respiratory therapist by profession, which she enjoys equally as her ministry. You can connect with Joy on Instagram @GodImprints.  -- DISCLAIMER:  Mindful Nuggets by Tasha T is a podcast that was created to uplift and inspire.  This podcast does not replace the process of sitting down with a mental health professional who can assist you with processing your own mental wellness journey.

Today, we are talking about mindset!  Do you have a fixed or a growth mindset?  Did you even know that there was such a thing?!  I will also be sharing some affirmations that will help you to expand your mindset!  I also spoke with Lakaysha Scott. We discussed her mindset shift and the process that she went through to write her book.  Lakaysha “Kay” Scott (best known as Kay Flowerz) was born and raised in Southern California, in the beautiful Inland Empire. Most important to her are her faith and community. In her leisure time, you can almost always find her writing, working out, or sharing inspirational words on her social media. I AM NOT WHO I ONCE WAS; I AM FORGIVEN.  2 Corinthians 5:17 – Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.  I AM STRONG AND COURAGEOUS.  Deuteronomy 31:6 NIV – Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.  I AM MORE THAN A CONQUEROR.  Romans 8:31 – If God is for us, who can be against us? We are more than conquerors through Him who loves us)  I AM ALWAYS ON GOD’S MIND.  Psalms 139:13 – You alone created my inner being. You knitted me together inside my mother’s womb Psalm 139:13-16 The Message (MSG) Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out; you formed me in my mother’s womb. I thank you, High God—you’re breathtaking! Body and soul, I am marvelously made! I worship in adoration—what a creation! You know me inside and out, you know every bone in my body; You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something. Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth; all the stages of my life were spread out before you, The days of my life all prepared before I’d even lived one day.  --- DISCLAIMER:  Mindful Nuggets by Tasha T is a podcast that was created to uplift and inspire.  This podcast does not replace the process of sitting down with a mental health professional who can assist you with processing your own mental wellness journey.
