Ep 46- Meet the face behind ChelseaMakes
Chelsea Andersson is the maker and miniaturist behind ChelseaMakes. Her miniatures are used in television, stop-motion advertisements, and of course, to decorate dollhouses. Having started her professional career as a landscape architect, Chelsea enjoys design and understanding how objects and spaces are built. Outside of the office, she spent her time creating miniatures: tiny versions of a dream home she hoped to one day build. She crafted hundreds of tiny objects for herself, and for her hamster Martin, before deciding to share this love of making with other creators. She went on to design and manufacture a line of Do-It-Yourself dollhouses called Simplekits. Following an appearance on the NBC crafting competition TV show Making It, Chelsea was finally confident enough to pursue her love of making, and miniatures, full time. Today she lives in Connecticut with her husband Nick and cat Millie. Together they are working to renovate their dream home at full size. When not in her craft studio, Chelsea can be found hiking in the forest or working on home renovation projects.

Meet Michael Hogan. He is a collector of dollhouse miniatures, focusing on museum quality artisan made pieces. Hogan found himself immersed in the world of miniatures when he won a dollhouse at an auction for around $500. After doing some research, he discovered the house's value to be worth something around $10,000! This started a new journey into the world of miniatures. Since obtaining that first dollhouse, Michael has collected and curated several pieces including several complete dollhouses and over 25 room boxes.
The miniature creations range from Cape Cod to Georgian and Michael curates the furnishings and interiors accordingly. You can see examples of his beautiful work on Instagram at @dollhouse_miniature_interiors

Meet Tammie- She has been collecting and making miniatures since the age of 9! She's a graduate of Parsons School of Design (NY) and is great at incorporating her love of design and background into the aesthetic of her miniature projects. She has created over 1,500 miniature projects for clients, family, and friends. For the past 20 years, she has been working on her masterpiece, (a dollhouse that combines the styles of a New York City Brownstone, a Parisian Townhouse, and a Georgian Manor.) Outside of her miniature passion, she has spent the past 17+ years in Executive Assistant and Chief of Staff roles to the CEOs of Sephora, Bare Escentuals, Optimizely, Lyft, and VSCO. She's a native New Yorker that made her way to the San Francisco Bay Area in the early 90's, where she now reside with her husband and two kiddos.
