Are Miracles Real? - Dr. Craig Thayer wrote the book on them!
Over the years, the adversity kept finding him…
Craig battled a reading disorder that went undiagnosed until he was fifty-five years old. Despite that and numerous other challenges, the calling in his heart to become a surgeon grew louder and louder. It didn’t quiet when he suffered a twisted intestine, witnessed his adopted mother’s alcohol problem, grieved her death when he was just eighteen, healed from a skull fracture in college, agonized over his adopted father’s fight for his life, and struggled to find his self-esteem. The miracles that touched his life were his saving grace and shined a light on his purpose.
The miracle of his apartment catching fire and the items left intact reflected the undeniable presence of one of his guardian spirits.
The miracles on his mission trips to Haiti and Honduras taught him more about Heaven on Earth than anything he had ever experienced.
The miracle of finding his natural family snapped a missing puzzle piece into place—fulfilling a lifelong longing.
Even the lists of pranks he pulled in college reminded him of the miracles of the bonds of laughter.
Craig’s intent in sharing his story is to give you hope, inspiration, a sense of belonging, and empathy and show you how similar a surgeon’s life is to yours. We are all more alike than we know. This high school senior has created a device that recycles plastic into alternative fuel sources - Julian Brown of NatureJab
Julian Brown took it upon himself to use his love for the environment and develop a microwave pyrolisis reactor, a device that recycles any type of carbon matter into fuels like natural gas, diesel, and jet fuel.
He started this project without any formal training or knowledge of chemical engineering, and begun his research using google searches.
His device has evolved through 5 generations, and his Mark V prototype has potential to create enough fuel to power a building.
His goal to combat plastic waste in the great pacific garbage patch has had its trials and tribulations, though. He has survived explosions, angry social media comments, and legal troubles in his effort to solve the plastic recycling problem.
We discuss the plastics recycling industry and the lack of corporate adoption of this device, how his product could create an entire industry, and how his perseverance has led him to bring the wonder of science to a new generation of followers on tiktok and youtube.

The web browser that is changing the look of free speech - Jeff Bermant, Tusk Browser
Jeff Bermant is the creator of Tusk Browser, a web browser that was designed to fight censorship and promote free speech online.
For nearly 20 years, Jeff has been creating web browsers and online utilities with a focus on privacy and data protection.
His previous project, Cocoon, was a browser platform designed to pay users for the data that is used by advertisers to target them.
Tusk Browser has seen significant growth recently due to the mainstream news companies self censoring news stories that could potentially affect elections.

Greg Wiens is a mennonite pastor in Canada who was inspired by the efforts of a military vet in an issue of National Geographic magazine.

The exam takes seconds, and has improved the quality of life for people in underserved communities around the globe. His program recently went viral on Tiktok when he gave an eye exam and had a pair of glasses prepared in under 3 minutes, at a cost of roughly $3 USD.

From online philanthropy to the future of feeding the homeless with cryptocurrency with Ken Kim of Crypto For The Homeless
Have you ever wanted to help the less fortunate but maybe don’t have the wherewithal or financial capacity to help others yourself?
If so, you need to listen to this episode.
This is a common occurrence, and unfortunately a tough reality in america.
How many times have you seen someone begging on a street corner and literally hundreds of cars driving by without any attention given?
Couple that with the fact that according to a 2021 study by the national law center on homelessness and poverty , nearly 25% of the homeless in america suffer from mental health issues, and it makes it almost understandable for the people driving by.
My guest tonight saw that need during his time walking back and forth to medical school, and he decided this was a problem that he could help fix.
Ken Kim is the creator of Crypto For The Homeless, a New Jersey based nonprofit that uses cryptocurrency to reimburse people that buy homeless and houseless people meals.
We discuss his reasoning for using crypto as a reimbursement, how the usage of crypto has served meals on a global platform, and how you can get involved for free.
Modern problems require modern solutions, misfits, so let’s get to solving.
Please welcome, Ken Kim.

The importance of education for a free mind with Connor Boyack
Connor Boyack is the creator of the Tuttle Twins series of books, a children’s book series that teaches children positive moral values in fun and character driven stories.
The Tuttle Twins books teach children positive moral values like the golden rule, non-aggression, how inflation works and why prices of the items we buy keep increasing, individual rights, justice, and what a free market is.
He is also the founder of the Libertas Institute, and has worked to help establish laws in his home state of Utah.
We discuss the vast amount of empty uncontested political elections in america, why our government leaders seem wildly unknowledgeable about many issues, and why children are learning agendas in the public school system rather than actionable insight into how to live a prosperous life.

Alyssa Banks - The Princess Program Foundation - How One Woman is using the magic of Disney Princesses to bring joy to kids with terminal illnesses
Always Banks is the creator and executive director of the princess program foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit that brings joy to children with terminal illnesses by offering in person and zoom meetings with princesses.
Since 2017, Banks and her merry group of volunteers have been delighting children with terminal illnesses across the United States and internationally, all while she is also working on her own personal nursing degree.
According to the national cancer institute, each year in the United States, an estimated 1 in 285 children will be diagnosed with Cancer before their 20th birthday.
As difficult as this news is to receive for an adult, learning this as a child is not only difficult to understand, but also starts a path of treatment that is draining both emotionally and physically.
My guest tonight aims to alleviate those painful events for children by sharing an experience with their favorite princess and superhero characters, and her videos with these children are truly magical.
We discuss the heart-wrenching story of how her organization got started, the dedication and dexterity it takes to keep character in difficult conversations, and the emotional response Alyssa and the princesses get when a child tells them they rung the bell to beat cancer.

Robert Hayes - NC State University - Is Tribalism Limiting Us In Faith And Science?
Robert was raised in Salt Lake City, UT by a single mother who had an atheist world view, and was exposed to Mormon religious beliefs through his father.
Robert explains Nuclear Energy and Engineering.
To many, that is a fairly difficult topic to digest, but he does so in a way that is fun and engaging via TikTok and social media channels, and has grown to over 41k followers during lockdown, bringing a new lease to people that may not have displayed an interest in Nuclear Science before.
But it hasn’t come without its pitfalls. Rob is a devout Christian, and went viral in one of his tiktoks about being a Christian who also believes in science.
We discuss the future of nuclear science, and why Americans have had trouble normalizing Nuclear Energy, His faith and how it has affected his interactions in the science community, and how tribalism is controlling narratives around the adoption of nuclear energy.
