48 | Deb Erickson, NeuroTools of ICAN Institute
Her unique, results-focused methods merge mindset-shifting ICAN Neuro Tools with female-focused business training, liberating her clients from mental ruts, fears, doubts, and personal limitations resulting in increased IPAs and unprecedented growth.
Free Mindset Training Neurotools www.icaninstitute.com/free-training-2/
After graduating from Illinois State University with a degree in Education, Deb dove headfirst into the career she’d always dreamed of – being a high school teacher and basketball coach. Her experiences in the classroom and on the court gave her a deep awareness of how our thoughts, perceptions, and emotions impact performance results in virtually every area of our lives. She began expanding her study of the mind, specifically how we can shift limiting thoughts and behaviors to find greater happiness and achieve our goals with more ease.
Top Level Network Marketing Leader
While working towards a Masters Degree in Counseling, Deb joined her first of two network marketing companies where she quickly rose to the top levels of leadership. Frustrated by the limited impact traditional sales and “motivational” training had on her team, Deb set out to develop training systems that spoke to the specific skill-based needs and mindset challenges of the women in her downline.
She began expanding her study of neuroscience, eventually teaming up with leading researchers to develop brain re-training tools to help her team members overcome the mental and emotional blocks that were keeping them “stuck” in their business.
Neuro Training is the Answer
After years of success in two separate companies, Deb knew firsthand the powerful impact her mindset training system had on the business growth of the women on her team. She shifted all of her focus to developing the neuro tools and training she had used with them, into a system that could be used by consultants in direct sales or network marketing companies worldwide.
Knowing beyond a doubt that simply adding more traditional skill set training was not the answer for most women struggling to find success in the industry, Deb launched her own company, The ICAN Institute Inc., dedicated to helping consultants around the world close the mindset gaps that hold them back from taking the action they know they need to take to grow their teams, increase sales, and rank up. vl729.isrefer.com/go/free-training-2/FlipFlopCEO/

45 | Sharon Lechter, Co-Author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad Books discusses Network Marketing as a way to create on-going income.
Laura and Janine interview Sharon Lechter, an internationally recognized financial literacy expert, keynote speaker and business mentor. She is a New York Times Bestselling author, successful entrepreneur, philanthropist, and has enjoyed a 35 year career as a licensed CPA.
Sharon has advised two US Presidents on the topic of financial literacy. Sharon co-authored the international bestseller Rich Dad Poor Dad and 14 other books in the Rich Dad series. The concept of the Four Quadrants of income is especially pertinent to those in Network Marketing because they teach the concept of “trading time for a paycheck” versus creating “asset income”, “on-going income”, or “residual income”. As long as a person has to show up to earn a paycheck, they will never experience true freedom. True freedom is defined as having both time and money.
In 2008, when the economy crashed, she was asked by the Napoleon Hill Foundation to help re-energize the teachings of Napoleon Hill.
Her best-selling books with the Foundation include Three Feet from Gold, Outwitting the Devil and Think and Grow Rich for Women and Success and Something Greater. She is also featured in the movie Think and Grow Rich: The Legacy and on the national television series World’s Greatest Motivators.
Sharon is currently launching her newest title, Exit Rich to support entrepreneurs in building value and scalability in their businesses so they can be in the position of greatest potential.

Lisa Williams is an Entrebeliever, Wealth mentor, and Chief Inspiration Officer at Lisa Williams Co, creator of the Perfect Side Gigs program. After spending 25 years in a corporate career that blessed her life with financial freedom and reaching a networth of nearly $2 million, Lisa’s goal is to empower, equip and inspire 1 million to hire themselves! Lisa has been a professional recruiter for over 27 years. She’s always used a coaching approach to recruiting and after nearly 3 decades of market ups and downs, found that she was feeling less joy in her day to day life of match making. The politics of corporate life got more complex. The clients she was working with seemed to also be asking, "is this all I am meant to do?" She wanted to offer more than just a job.
Lisa decided decided to take her own advice and find HER passion for what she wanted to do next in life. She has taken the skills she mastered in corporate America and has shifted to helping others find their true passion and business pursuit. Her passion is financial education.
One a personal note, Lisa is an Alaska girl born and raised, married with three kids, is a life-long learner, loves to travel, and sings in a praise band. 37 | Jordan Adler, Beach Money & the Statistics of Success
Jordan Adler is one of the top income earners in Network Marketing, in the world. This is a great interview for anyone who wants to gain a better understanding of what it takes to be successful in this business. Jordan’s story is incredible. At 34, he was living in an enclosed garage. His rent was $200 a month and he had two roommates. He carried $36,000 in credit card debt on 22 credit cards, and his job paid him $14K per year. Over the past 27 years, he's become one of the top network marketers in the world, earning an excess of over $23 million. Jordan wrote the worldwide bestselling book, “Beach Money”, and 100% of his book sales profits go to charity. His book has been out for 10 years and still sells thousands of copies each year. He just launched a second book, “Better than Beach Money” in 2019. And he just launched a new publishing company, “Beach Money Publications”. Jordan splits his time between two mountain homes and a condo on the Vegas strip and of course, the beach. Four years ago, he decided to get his helicopter pilot's license for fun, and recently purchased his own helicopter. He's also scheduled to become the first network marketer to travel to space as part of Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic civilian space program. Jordan believes in big dreams and says working hard and never quitting is the secret to his success.
Laura and Janine talk with Jordan about many of the aspects of the Network Marketing that contribute to some of the main misconceptions. He talks about how many people get into Network Marketing, and get back out without ever doing anything with it. He equates this to the fact that the nature of people in general is that they don’t stick to things they start. He uses the analogy of a gym and how many people join, but then six months later, have quit going. Much like folks who get their real estate license…out of 100 agent’s, about a third usually quit immediately…never selling a single home, a third of them will sell one home a year, maybe two, a third of them will do a little more than that. But, one or two out of 100 or two, will do something significantly. It’s the same with Network Marketing….because it’s just the nature of people.
Jordan shares a lot of insights he’s learned from being in the business, and how he applies the statistics he’s captured, based on human nature, to this business. Jordan has discovered that it typically takes three to five touch points before somebody will make a decision to say yes, which is why following up is so important in Network Marketing. He teaches people lots of different “touch points” to stay connected, because he knows that the people who do that are the ones that are most successful!

36 | Nurse, Judy Milstead
Laura and Janine continue with their career comparison series to help people who are looking to pivot right now, hear from those who have made the transition traditional careers into Network Marketing/MLM. This is an enlightening interview for anyone in the medical profession as well as for Boomers who may be surprised by the insights that Judy shares. Judy speaks from her heart about all of the reasons she feels blessed to have found Network Marketing at this stage in her life. Judy was a 68 when she was introduced to Network Marketing. She is an retired RN, who spent over 40 years in the medical field. Her background includes hospital emergency department director, private nurse for a doctor, hospital nurse educator, and with a regional director for organ bank, hospital advocate, and telemetry unit staff, nurse.
Besides the lifestyle that her new career has provided, Judy also shares another aspect of this business that she loves. “If you're in the hospital setting, you get a patient and you patch them up, and you send them home, and you don't ever see them again. With network marketing, you get to know people. It's like; these people are going to be our friends and family for life. I don't have to patch them and send them off.”
Judy talks about how one of the things that concerned her at first is that she didn’t want to bother people. She didn’t want them to feel like she was using their friendship for her financial gain…but she quickly realized that she was not doing that, at all. And that people don’t think that, because they realize that she is simply listening to find out what they need. And if they need something, she offers it. She’s looking for people who are looking for her, and there are a lot of people in the world who are looking for something right now.

30 | Dr. Danielle Daniel, Psychologist, LCSW
Laura and Janine hear from Dr. Danielle Daniel. Danielle is a Doctor of Psychology, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and the founder of Brave.Foundation, which serves kids and young adults who have been sex-trafficked and abused. Danielle is making a difference in the world…she speaks globally and loves empowering others to create the life of their dreams. She built her Network Marketing business alongside of a full time job, and was able to retire by the age of 38.
Danielle shares how she found Network Marketing, but almost missed it because of her misconceptions about the magnitude of this kind of opportunity. She discovered that by using Network Marketing to create financial freedom, she had the opportunity to actually do more of what she loves, and to make a bigger difference in the world than she could have if she followed the traditional vocational path. Danielle is passionate about helping others understand why it’s so important to have a backup plan in our lives. Both Danielle and her mother experienced health challenges that prevented them from being able to work, but because she had already built her Network Marketing business, she remained financially secure during a very challenging time in her life.
Danielle believes that remaining hopeful is critical to achieving success. Always believing that someway, somehow, everything is going to work out.

28 | David Skultety, the "networker's networker"
David Skultety has been in the network marketing profession for over twenty years. Through the companies he has represented, he has mentored thousands of people to take control of their financial futures and guided them to become lifestyle entrepreneurs.
For the first four years of his career, David failed miserably. In 1999, he became a distributor for a health and wellness company and built an organization of over 300,000 people who produced over $500,000,000 in wholesale sales. He then accomplished what very few have done. He started a new business from scratch and built an entirely new organization from 1-100,000 people all over again.
Many who know David consider him the "networker's networker". His reputation for keeping it real and genuinely serving others has earned him the respect of many throughout the profession.
A grateful dad to three amazing young adults. He enjoys playing golf, going to concerts, traveling and chilling out with friends. His life philosophy is centered around 5 F's: Faith, Family, Friends, Freedom, and Fun.

26 | Elizabeth Jarvis, a business for introverts
Laura and Janine’s interview with Elizabeth Jarvis will be especially enlightening to anyone who thinks this business isn’t for introverts! Elizabeth is the person everyone in Network Marketing dreams of finding…she heard about the business, and immediately knew that this was something she wanted to pursue! She credits her ability to see opportunity to two major life experiences: growing up with parents who were unafraid of change, and being married to a professional baseball player who was always looking for the next big break.
That was almost twelve years ago and today she is a top leader in her Network Marketing business. Elizabeth shares what it’s like to be an introvert building this type of business, and how very blessed she feels to have found a way to help others achieve their full potential.
