S2 E6: Modern Day Mean Girls

S2 E5: Your Husband Doesn’t Want You

S2 E4: We Choose Violence
Hi Mujeres! As always, we were on tangents on this episode and fired away some of our icks. Something in the air is causing us to want to choose violence and we're here for it. Let us know your thoughts some of them or don't.

S2 E3: I'm Just a Born Bitch

S2 E2: In SZA We Trust

S2 E1: New Year Refresh
Hi Mujeres!! Happy New Year! We are so excited to be back in the studio and recording again, it's definitely refreshing! This episode we go over what we look forward to in the 2023 new year, what our goals are, what we want to work on - personally and podcast wise, which makes us so excited for what is to come. We know goals are usually set for the new year but we want to hold each other accountable and make a plan for how we intend to achieve our goals. Like the saying goes - "Nothing changes if nothing changes." If there's something you want to accomplish, with your job, your personal life, etc write down your plan and crush every goal! We believe in you!

Episode 117: Goodbye...for Now.
Hi Mujeres! Long time no see or...talk. We've been MIA lately and pretty much all year. This episode will address where we've been, where we're going, and if we're going to continue Modern Day Mujeres. Thanks for sticking around and supporting us. We hope to see you all soon. This is our Goodbye...FOR NOW.

Episode 116: Is He a Daddy or a Zaddy?
Hi Mujeres! We're back from our long hiatus and glad to be back recording! We catch up with what we've been up to and where we've been. Liz with her fitness journey and getting her last baby ready for school and Mel moving and her long distance relationship, we have been busy this summer. We open up the discussion of relationships and when men support and encourage their partners, it provides a safe space for us to be who we really and in turn give back to them for their needs. Like the saying goes, it's give and take on both ends. We hope you enjoy this long episode! Let us know what else you'd like to hear!

Episode 115:"Does She Really Mean F*ck Them Kids?!"

Episode 114: OMG, Is That Herpes?
WARNING: LISTENER DISCRETION IS ADVISED!
Hi Mujeres! We catch up with The Ultimatum finale and reunion but don't worry, no spoilers! Somehow we jumped on the topic of female hygiene and what all it takes to "maintain" ourselves. That goes for waxing, nails, feminine care, and even STD checks and scares! Let us know what you think of today's episode and what you want to rant about when it comes to taking care of ourselves or what you enjoy doing to keep yourselves groomed.

Episode 113: He Gave Her an Ultimatum!
Hi Mujeres! After watching the new Netflix series "Ultimatum," it had us reeling back and thinking if we've ever given someone an ultimatum. Whether to get married, become coupled up, or even not putting up with a dirty habit. Most times it's a woman giving a man an ultimatum to put a ring on it but sometimes it's the other way around! Listen and see what happened when one of us was given an ultimatum.

Episode 112: Ugly Side of Healing
Hi Mujeres! So many of us are on healing journey's to unbreak cycles, heal a broken heart, and discovering who we are. While it's an experience that is liberating and definitely a roller coaster of emotions, no one talks about the ugly side of healing. What are the things you've experienced that you weren't prepared for or didn't expect? We talk about the things we've experienced while knocking down those walls to finding our true selves. Healing is not linear and no one's journey is the same but it's nice to see sometimes we're not alone in some of those feelings. Let us know what you think of the episode and what your experience has been.
Shout out to Hello Studios for assisting with production.

Episode 111: Young & Dumb
Hi Mujeres! After watching Euphoria, based on high school students, we look back at our young and dumb choices. In our teenage phase, we don't have a strong moral compass to determine what is right or wrong for us. We are all making decisions without a thought of consequence and just living in the moment. We talk about some regrets, what we thought we knew, and see if we would do anything different. Let us know your thoughts. What is a moment in your younger years that makes you shake your head?

Episode 110: “Happy” New Year 😮💨

Episode 109: And Just Like That...Friendship Breakups
Hi Mujeres! This is our last episode of 2021! We wanted to finish out with a bang and what we've learned this year. We asked you what 2021 meant to you and what you're leaving behind. We could all agree that we are looking forward to the new year. With the new SATC series, Just Like That, we wanted to dive into how the show went on without a significant character, Samantha, and how her relationship with Carrie fell apart. With that being said, Liz explains a friend breakup that happened this year and what she learned from it. Friend breakups can be harder than with a significant other because we put so much trust and effort into them and when they don't work out, it questions our character and who we are as friends. We hope this episode helps anyone going through the end of a friendship and how to look at the positives that can come with it. Let us know your thoughts.

Episode 108: Long Distance Relationship Q&A
Hi Mujeres! Happy December! We are happy to be back recording and getting ready for 2022. We can't believe the year is coming to a close. We talk about what our next plans are for Christmas and how we are moving forward with the new year. Mel also answers some questions on her long distance relationship and how her partner and her make it work.
Let us know if you'd be able to survive a long distance relationship or what tips/advice you'd provide to have a successful LDR.

Their whirlwind romance has been the topic of headlines since news broke of their pairing. We invite all podcasters and content creators to participate in this call to action by @wocpodcasters.
We are podcasters united to condemn the tragic murders of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor and many many others at the hands of police. This is a continuation of the systemic racism pervasive in our country since its inception and we are committed to standing against racism in all its forms.
We believe that to be silent is to be complicit.
We believe that Black lives matter.
We believe that Black lives are more important than property.
We believe that we have a responsibility to use our platforms to speak out against this injustice whenever and wherever we are witness to it.
In creating digital media we have built audiences that return week after week to hear our voices and we will use our voices to speak against anti-blackness and police brutality, and we encourage our audiences to be educated, engaged, and to take action.

"Jayden is 4 years old and was officially diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at the age of 3. Although he can not speak, he has come such a long way by communicating with our family in other ways. He will either bring objects he wants to us, or take our hand and walk us over to something, such as the door, to let us know he wants to go outside. Krystal shares with us, "Jr is an 18 year old non-verbal high school senior with Autism. He was diagnosed around the age of 3-4. His favorite activities are legos, puzzles, word searches, riding his bike, watching classic Disney movies, listening to music and basketball! As a little kid, he would have tantrums daily, self harm, needed a lot of assistance and prompting. Throughout the years, he has learned how to be independent, communicate with his speaking device and has absolutely amazed us with his perseverance. Jr can complete almost any home chore or task you ask of him and is a huge help around the house. Once of my favorite things about him is how loving he is. It is difficult for those with autism to show and even receive affection because of the sensory output. Jr although can be stubborn at times is always willing to give you hugs and kisses! He's currently working on his money counting abilities and I know with time and continued support he will have that mastered."
