2020 The Year in Horror - Movies, Books & TV
2020 was a pretty terrible year, for all the reasons you already know about. However, there was a bright spot, and it came from one of the darkest places… the horror genre. 2020 brought us an amazing array of horror movies. There was something for everyone. And let’s not forget all the great books and TV shows, while we’re at it.

Books include Crossroads by Laurel Hightower, The Plumbers by Terry M. West, Clown in a Cornfield by Adam Cesare, Until Summer Comes Around by Glenn Rolfe, My Best Friend's Exorcism by Grady Hendrix, Meathead 2 by Steve Barnard, The Pale White by Chad Lutzke's and more.

1970s Made-For-TV Horror Movies with Terry M. West
The Monster Men welcome back the man himself, author Terry M West, to the show. Some people say that we are living in the new golden age of horror movies. Well, the belt holder for the decade of the BEST horror made for TV movies was, is and always will be the 70s. Jack, Hunter and Terry wax poetic over a cavalcade of 70s horror classics like The Night Stalker, Trilogy of Terror, Duel, and dozens of other found and hidden gems that hit the airwaves during a presidential resignation, gas crisis, hostage crisis, and overall identity crisis. Build your to-watch list and let us know your own personal favorites.
You can follow Terry M West and buy his excellent books at www.terrymwest.com

Thanksgiving From Hell
Gobble, gobble everyone. Yes, Jack and Hunter are truly at it again with their second annual Thanksgiving tasting feast from the far reaches of hell. Thank Cthulu they also had a bevy of delicious pumpkin ales to choose from to wash that cornucopia of nastiness down. Filmed in a secret location, far from the corona virus police, the Monster Men invite all to break bread with them and sample some fine beers. Give thanks that you can laugh at their misery.
Note: This is a very visual episode, so you might want to check it out on YouTube to get the full effect. Look up Monster Me 13 to find us.

Halloween in Quarantine & 1978 Horror Movies
It’s Halloween time again, but times have changed and so must we. Thanks to the pandemic, Halloween will look a little different this year, and so does our Halloween episode. We have done it remotely, as is the case with most things in 2020… but that does not stop us from having fun.
This time we discuss and celebrate the horror movies 1978, the year the John Carpenter’s Halloween came out. It was quite a year for the genre. Plus, throughout the conversation we talk about some of the ways you can enjoy Halloween while still staying safe.
So, pull up some candy corn and join us as we celebrate our favorite holiday. And don’t forget to get yourself a Monster Men shirt, hoodie or mug at our TeePublic store. Go to http://tee.pub/lic/S9-0-iRSDP8 and don’t forget to post a pic and tag us once you have your swag.

The Paul Lynde Halloween Special
In this knee-slapper of an episode, the Monster Men take the center square for the win. What better way to start Horrortober than a trip back to that magical era where every star had their own variety show? And what better show to unearth than the Paul Lynde Halloween Special from 1976? It’s a cavalcade of stars surrounding the master comic who looked like someone had a gun to his head from start to finish. The jokes may fall flatter than Jack and Hunter's ass cheeks, but the unintentional humor is hysterical. Come join Paul and his witchy friends as they're joined by the likes of Florence Henderson, Betty White, Pinky Tuscadero, Tim Conway and…wait for it…KISS (who perform 3 songs because we guess the writers ran out of corny jokes)!
Hunter also reviews a fun Halloween read, Creature Feature, by Steven Paul Leiva (you can get it on Amazon and Jack recommends – Monster Carnival, an anthology of classic and rare tales of horror collected and edited by William P. Simmons.
