Costco Just For The Hot Dogs

Costco Just For The Hot Dogs

Costco is well-known for its food court, which offers a variety of affordable and tasty items, including their famous hot dogs. Here are some details about Costco hot dogs:

Price: As of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, the price of a Costco hot dog combo (including a hot dog and a fountain drink) is typically very reasonable. It may vary depending on your location, but historically, it has been known for its affordability.

Size and Quality: Costco hot dogs are known for their generous portion sizes. They typically come on a steamed bun with a jumbo-sized all-beef hot dog. The quality of the hot dog is generally considered good, with a tasty flavor and satisfying texture.

Toppings: Costco hot dogs typically come with a range of condiment options available at the self-serve condiment station. These commonly include ketchup, mustard, onions, relish, and sauerkraut. You can customize your hot dog to suit your personal taste preferences.

Food Court Availability: It's worth noting that Costco's food court is primarily available to members and their guests. However, some locations may allow non-members to access the food court, but policies can vary. Additionally, it's always a good idea to check with your local Costco to confirm availability and pricing.

Please keep in mind that specific details, such as prices and menu offerings, may have changed since my last knowledge update. To get the most accurate and up-to-date information, I recommend checking with your local Costco or visiting their website for the latest information on hot dog prices and offerings at their food court.

Husky Teen Dreams

Husky Teen Dreams

Experiencing the crushing of hopes and dreams as a teenager can be incredibly challenging and emotionally difficult. It's during this time that many young individuals are exploring their interests, discovering their passions, and developing their aspirations for the future. When these hopes and dreams are shattered, it can feel overwhelming and disheartening. Here are a few thoughts to keep in mind:

Allow yourself to grieve: It's normal to feel a sense of loss and disappointment when your hopes and dreams are crushed. Give yourself permission to grieve and process these emotions. It's essential to acknowledge and validate your feelings rather than suppressing them.

Seek support: Reach out to trusted friends, family members, or mentors who can provide support and understanding during this challenging time. Sharing your feelings with someone who cares about you can help alleviate the emotional burden and provide different perspectives.

Reframe and adapt: While your initial hopes and dreams may have been dashed, consider reframing your perspective and finding alternative paths or new directions. Sometimes, setbacks can lead to unexpected opportunities or push you towards different, equally fulfilling pursuits. Allow yourself to explore different interests and possibilities.

Set new goals: Take the time to reflect on your values, strengths, and interests. Use this as an opportunity to set new goals that align with who you are now and what you aspire to become. Setting realistic and attainable goals can help you regain a sense of purpose and direction.

Focus on personal growth: Even if your dreams have been crushed, remember that personal growth and development are lifelong journeys. Use this experience as an opportunity to learn and grow. Seek out new experiences, expand your skills, and embrace challenges that can contribute to your overall growth as an individual.

Practice self-compassion: Be kind to yourself during this difficult period. Understand that setbacks and disappointments are a natural part of life. Treat yourself with compassion, patience, and understanding as you navigate through this process. Remember that you have inherent worth beyond your dreams and achievements.

Seek professional guidance if needed: If you find it challenging to cope with the emotional impact of shattered dreams or if it significantly affects your well-being, consider reaching out to a mental health professional. They can provide guidance and support in navigating through these difficult emotions and help you develop resilience.

It's important to remember that setbacks and disappointments are a part of life's journey. While it may take time to heal and regain a sense of direction, stay open to new opportunities and possibilities that may arise along the way. Keep exploring your passions, stay connected with supportive individuals, and believe in your ability to create a meaningful and fulfilling future.

Sucking Joy

Sucking Joy

A person who sucks all the joy out of something is often referred to as a "joy-killer" or a "buzzkill." These individuals tend to have a negative mindset or a pessimistic outlook, which can dampen the mood and energy of those around them. Here are a few reasons why someone might exhibit such behavior:

Negativity bias: Some people naturally focus more on the negative aspects of a situation rather than the positive ones. They might have a tendency to point out flaws, potential problems, or worst-case scenarios, which can overshadow any enjoyment or excitement.

Fear of disappointment: Some individuals may try to avoid getting their hopes up or being let down by intentionally downplaying or dismissing positive experiences. They might believe that by setting low expectations, they can protect themselves from disappointment.

Control issues: Joy-killers may feel the need to exert control over situations and people by criticizing or devaluing positive experiences. They may have a rigid mindset and find it challenging to embrace or appreciate activities or ideas that deviate from their own preferences or beliefs.

Emotional issues: Some individuals may have underlying emotional issues, such as depression, anxiety, or unresolved personal problems, which make it difficult for them to experience or share in the joy of others. Their negative mindset may be a reflection of their own internal struggles.

Dealing with joy-killers can be challenging, especially if their behavior consistently affects your own enjoyment. Here are a few strategies to consider:

Set boundaries: If possible, limit your interactions with joy-killers or establish clear boundaries when engaging in activities together. This can help minimize the impact of their negativity on your own experience.

Communicate openly: Express how their behavior affects you and the importance of maintaining a positive atmosphere. Sometimes, people are unaware of the impact they have on others and may be open to adjusting their behavior.

Focus on your own joy: Don't let the joy-killer's negativity overshadow your own happiness. Surround yourself with positive-minded individuals who appreciate and share in your excitement.

Encourage a change in perspective: While you can't force someone to be positive, you can gently encourage them to consider alternative viewpoints or to find the silver lining in certain situations. However, avoid getting into arguments or trying to change them forcefully, as this can be counterproductive.

Remember, it's essential to prioritize your own well-being and mental health. If the negative influence becomes too overwhelming or starts affecting you significantly, it may be necessary to distance yourself from that person or seek support from friends, family, or a professional counselor.

Sleeping with Pizza

Sleeping with Pizza

Sleeping with a pizza on your lap may not offer any significant benefits and could potentially be uncomfortable or messy. However, if you're curious about potential hypothetical benefits, here are a few light-hearted possibilities:

Warmth: If the pizza is fresh out of the oven, it could provide some warmth to your lap on a chilly night. This could be particularly enjoyable during colder seasons.

Aromatherapy: The pleasant aroma of the pizza might create a relaxing environment and help you drift off to sleep more easily. Many people find certain food scents comforting.

Dream inspiration: Having a pizza nearby could influence your dreams, leading to unique and perhaps even entertaining dream scenarios. You might dream about enjoying a delicious slice or even find yourself in a pizza-themed adventure.

Emotional comfort: For some individuals, having a familiar and comforting object nearby, like a favorite food, can provide emotional reassurance and a sense of security. This could potentially contribute to a more restful sleep.

Unconventional relaxation technique: If you find the idea of sleeping with a pizza on your lap amusing or relaxing, it may simply bring a sense of joy or lightheartedness. Engaging in whimsical or unconventional activities can sometimes be a source of stress relief.

Remember, these benefits are purely speculative and not based on scientific research. While having a pizza on your lap while sleeping may not offer any tangible advantages, it's important to prioritize comfort, hygiene, and safety for a good night's rest.

Equipment Too Greazy

Equipment Too Greazy

When encountering greasy gym equipment, there are a few steps you can take:

Notify gym staff: Inform the gym staff about the greasy equipment so they can address the issue promptly.

Use disinfectant wipes: If available, use disinfectant wipes to clean the equipment before use. This will help remove the grease and create a more hygienic surface.

Choose alternative equipment: If the greasy equipment cannot be adequately cleaned or if you feel uncomfortable using it, opt for other machines or workout options that are clean and suitable for your routine.

Practice good hygiene: After using any equipment, remember to clean your hands thoroughly with soap and water or use hand sanitizer to maintain your personal hygiene.

Remember, maintaining a clean and hygienic gym environment is essential for your health and safety.

Additionally, having too many open tabs can also lead to increased network traffic and data usage, further impacting your computer's performance. Therefore, it is advisable to close any unnecessary tabs to improve your computer's speed and overall performance.

When We Wore Wigs

When We Wore Wigs

Wigs have been worn throughout history for various reasons such as for cultural or religious purposes, to cover hair loss, or for aesthetic reasons. In the Western world, wigs became fashionable during the 17th and 18th centuries, particularly in the courts of Europe. During this time, wigs were considered a sign of status and wealth and were worn by both men and women. They were made from human hair, animal hair, or even from straw or silk. Wigs were often styled with intricate designs and adorned with accessories such as ribbons, feathers, or jewels. However, the popularity of wigs declined during the 19th century as hairstyles became more natural and less formal. Today, wigs are still worn for various reasons but are not as commonly used as they once were.

Your Last Meal

Your Last Meal

In many countries where the death penalty is still practiced, it is customary to offer condemned prisoners the option of choosing a last meal before their execution. This tradition is often seen as a small act of compassion towards the inmate, providing them with a final opportunity to enjoy a meal of their choice. Some death row inmates use this opportunity to request a favorite meal from their childhood or to savor a dish that they have always wanted to try. However, in recent years, there has been some controversy around the practice of offering a last meal, with some arguing that it can be a waste of resources or a frivolous distraction from the seriousness of the situation. Regardless of one's perspective on the issue, it is clear that being on death row is a highly challenging and emotionally fraught experience, and the decision to offer a last meal is just one small aspect of a much larger debate about the death penalty and the criminal justice system.

Doing Dishes On The Weekend

Eating an unsatisfying meal can be disappointing, but it is important to remember that it is not the end of the world. It is possible to take steps to prevent such situations from happening again, such as choosing different foods or preparing meals differently in the future. It is also important to recognize that a single unsatisfying meal does not have a significant impact on one's overall health and well-being. It is okay to indulge in a treat or a favorite food occasionally to lift one's mood and satisfy cravings. In the end, the key is to listen to one's body, eat mindfully, and make choices that support overall health and happiness.

Donating teeth is not a common practice, but there are a few benefits to consider if you are interested in doing so.

Research: Donated teeth can be used for research purposes, which can help scientists better understand various dental and oral health conditions. This research can lead to new treatments and preventative measures for these conditions, ultimately benefiting public health.

Education: Dental students and professionals need access to real teeth to study and practice procedures. Donating your teeth can help these students gain valuable hands-on experience, which can improve the quality of dental care in the future.

Art: Some artists use real human teeth in their creations. By donating your teeth, you can support these artists and their work.

Recycling: Teeth can be used in the creation of certain medical devices and implants, reducing the need for new materials and potentially lowering the cost of healthcare.

Organ donation: In rare cases, teeth can be used for transplantation, helping people who have lost their own teeth due to injury or disease.

It's important to note that not all dental facilities accept donated teeth, and there may be specific requirements or restrictions for donation. Additionally, you may need to consult with your dentist or other medical professional to ensure that donating your teeth does not negatively impact your dental health or overall well-being.

Rules and Relaxation

Rules and Relaxation

When staying at an Airbnb, the last thing you want is to feel like you are walking on eggshells. Unfortunately, some hosts may make it hard to relax by bombarding you with too many rules. While a few guidelines are necessary for ensuring a comfortable stay, too many restrictions can be overwhelming and may actually detract from the overall experience. It can be hard to unwind and feel at ease when you are constantly worried about breaking a rule or being reprimanded. Instead of feeling welcomed and at home, you may feel like you are a guest who is not trusted. Therefore, hosts should aim to strike a balance between ensuring their guests are comfortable and not imposing too many restrictions that can take away from the relaxing experience they are seeking.

Additionally, if the person being asked is going through a difficult situation and feels like their feelings are being belittled, the question can seem like an inadequate response to their situation. In these cases, it's important to consider how the question might be perceived and to approach the conversation with empathy and understanding.

Family Ending Group Therapy

Family Ending Group Therapy

Family group therapy can be a powerful and effective way to help families overcome challenges and improve their relationships. However, like any form of therapy, there is a risk that things may not go as planned. Here are some possible reasons why family group therapy may go wrong:

Lack of commitment: If one or more family members are not fully committed to the therapy process, it can be difficult to make progress. If some members of the family are not willing to participate or are not open to the idea of therapy, this can cause tension and hinder the therapy process.

Poor communication: If family members have difficulty communicating with each other, it can be hard to work through issues and make progress. In some cases, family members may have deeply ingrained communication patterns that are not easily changed, and this can cause frustration and conflict during therapy.

Unresolved conflicts: If there are unresolved conflicts or issues within the family, it can be difficult to make progress in therapy. In some cases, these conflicts may need to be addressed before meaningful progress can be made in therapy.

Therapist mismatch: If the therapist is not a good fit for the family, it can be difficult to build rapport and make progress in therapy. Different therapists have different styles and approaches, and it is important to find one that works well with your family.

Lack of structure: If the therapy sessions lack structure or focus, it can be hard to make progress. A good therapist will provide a clear structure and agenda for each session, and will work with the family to set goals and identify areas for improvement.

In general, if family group therapy is not working as well as you had hoped, it is important to communicate openly with your therapist and discuss your concerns. Your therapist can work with you to identify the root causes of the problems and develop a plan to address them. If necessary, your therapist may also suggest alternative approaches or refer you to another therapist who may be better suited to your needs.

Separate checks refers to the practice of dividing a restaurant bill into individual portions for each person in a group so that they can pay for their own meals separately. This is typically done when a group of people dine together and each person orders their own food and drinks. Many restaurants are able to accommodate separate checks upon request, although some may have specific policies or restrictions around this practice.

Marshmellow Pillow

Marshmellow Pillow

It’s a classic joke: I dreamt I was eating a giant marshmallow, and when I woke up, my pillow was gone. (Apparently, it’s attributed to the late British comedian Tommy Cooper. Who knew?) But the marshmallow makers at Jet-Puffed apparently began wondering why a pillow couldn’t be similar to a giant marshmallow — because they've made their own.

Announced today in honor of the potential permanent end of Daylight Saving Time after this year, Jet-Puffed has started selling a limited-edition Jet-Puffed Marshmallow Pillow. "The pillow mirrors the brand's jet-puffing technology, a process used since the 1950s that adds the perfect amount of air into its marshmallows," the brand explains. As for their design, these queen size pillows are made from "luxurious white satin" and are stuffed with 100 percent recycled poly fiber fill. Additional touches include imagery of the brand's "iconic Puff Pals" and an official "Jet-Puffed tag of approval for a good night’s sleep."

Mandatory Sauce Drawer

Mandatory Sauce Drawer

I wondered how common this was, so I looked to the internet. There were a few posts about it, mentioning it briefly as something a friend does, and there was a long Twitter thread about saving ketchup in the junk drawer. If you search for images you get one or two that resemble Frankie’s drawer (pictured above) but really, the “packet drawer” doesn’t have the cult following I’m starting to think it deserves.

And if you can keep it organized and keep it stocked, making food at home can be just a little bit cheaper.

This seemed like a game changer to me — not only are you only using what you need (eliminating the need for a whole container of something) but with the variety offered by different cafeterias around campus, I was already beginning to realize just how easy it would be to assemble my own packet drawer.

Let me be clear: The most important part of this is that you buy something from the place you are obtaining the packets. Besides being perhaps a little immoral if you don’t, I think it’s a bit creepy to shovel ketchup packets into your backpack when you think nobody is looking.

It’s also important to note that if you start going out to eat a lot more to try and reap some packet reward, all that money you’re spending on extra take-out is going to totally wash out the value of the extra flavor you’re depositing into your “packet drawer.” The key here is to be more vigilant when you do eat out to get the most of your money.

No Feet or Farts on Flights

“When cabin pressure decreases, the natural air inside the bowel will expand. “And since there is only limited space in the large bowel, it is a natural consequence to fart.” This is also why your ears can pop during a flight, due to the change in pressure.

Leg and foot swelling during air travel is common and typically harmless. The most likely culprit is inactivity during a flight. Sitting with your feet on the floor for a long period causes blood to pool in your leg veins. The position of your legs when you are seated also increases pressure in your leg veins.

The smaller varieties of the breed were bred from the original in France where they were once commonly used as circus performers, but have become popular companion dogs.

Her name is Noelle
I have a dream about her
She rings my bell
I got gym class in half an hour
Oh, how she rocks
In Keds and tube socks
But she doesn't know who I am
And she doesn't give a damn about me

'Cause I'm just a teenage dirtbag, baby
Yeah, I'm just a teenage dirtbag, baby
Listen to Iron Maiden, baby, with me
Oo-o-o-oo-o-oh

Her boyfriend's a dick
And he brings a gun to school
And he'd simply kick
My ass if he knew the truth
He lives on my block
And he drives an IROC
But he doesn't know who I am
And he doesn't give a damn about me

'Cause I'm just a teenage dirtbag, baby
Yeah, I'm just a teenage dirtbag, baby
Listen to Iron Maiden, baby, with me
Oo-o-o-oo-o-oh

Oh yeah, dirtbag
No, she doesn't know what she's missing
Oh yeah, dirtbag
No, she doesn't know what she's missing

Man, I feel like mold
It's prom night and I am lonely
Lo and behold
She's walking over to me
This must be fake
My lip starts to shake
How does she know who I am?
And why does she give a damn about me?

I've got two tickets to Iron Maiden, baby
Come with me Friday, don't say maybe
I'm just a teenage dirtbag baby like you
Oo-o-oo-oh

Oh yeah, dirtbag
No, she doesn't know what she's missing
Oh yeah, dirtbag
No, she doesn't know what she's missing

Buffalo Bobbing

Buffalo Bobbing

The beautiful song that Buffalo Bill plays while dancing around in his robe, “Goodbye Horses,” also appears in Married to the Mob, the film Jonathan Demme made prior to Silence of the Lambs. It appears in a scene in which Michelle Pfeiffer's character is wearing a robe.

The Silence of the Lambs is Jonathan Demme’s 1991 horror/thriller film, which is based on Thomas Harris’ 1988 novel of the same name. It’s about an ambitious, promising young FBI trainee, Clarice Starling (Jodie Foster), who has been recruited by Jack Crawford (Scott Glenn), head of the FBI’s Behavioral Science Unit, to assist with the pursuit of serial killer Jame Gumb (Ted Levine), known as Buffalo Bill, who kidnaps, kills, and skins young women. Starling’s assignment, which involves interviewing another serial killer, Hannibal Lecter (Anthony Hopkins), gains greater urgency when Buffalo Bill abducts his latest victim, Catherine Martin (Brooke Smith), the daughter of Tennessee Senator Ruth Martin (Diane Baker).

Though the scene discussed here is typically called the Buffalo Bill Dance Scene, it’s as much about Catherine Martin as it is about Jame Gumb/Buffalo Bill. Occurring during the film’s final act, it comprises a series of crosscuts focusing on the two characters and their very different aims: Gumb, as he immerses himself in his fantasies of sexual desirability and transformation, Catherine, as she executes a plan to gain a bargaining chip and save her own life by luring Precious, Gumb’s beloved dog, into the basement pit where Gumb has imprisoned her.

This scene serves several purposes within the film. It gives the audience a brief but illuminating glimpse into Jame Gumb’s inner life and aspirations, an aspect of the novel that was largely sacrificed for the film adaptation. It also underscores the depth of Catherine’s peril in the face of Gumb’s strong motivations to cut her up in service to his fantasies, highlights Catherine’s determination and resourcefulness, sets the clock ticking for her as she puts her plan into motion, and ratchets up the tension.

The dance scene is not in Thomas Harris’ novel or Ted Tally’s screenplay, though it was inspired by a moment early on in the book when Gumb stands in front of a mirror and tucks his penis between his legs. The dance was the result of an on-set collaboration between Jonathan Demme and Ted Levine. Demme filmed two versions. The one used in the film is set to Q. Lazzarus’ Goodbye Horses, a song about transcendence and an appropriate choice given Gumb’s aims. The alternate version showed Levine performing a striptease to Bob Seger’s Her Strut. There is no doubt that Demme made the right choice for the film, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t want to see the latter.

Don't Dissapoint Daddy

Don't Dissapoint Daddy

On the radio program, the character of Jim differs from the later television character. On the radio, Jim is far more sarcastic and shows he really rules over his family. Jim also calls his children names, something common on the radio but lost in the TV series. For example, Jim says, "What a bunch of stupid children I have." Margaret is portrayed as a paragon of solid reason and patience unless the plot calls for her to act a bit off; for example, in a Halloween episode, Margaret cannot understand how a table floats in the air. But that is a rare exception.

Betty, on radio, is portrayed as a status-seeking, boy-crazy teenage girl. To her, every little thing is "the worst thing that could ever happen." Bud, on radio, is portrayed as an "all-American" boy who always seems to need "just a bit more" money, though he receives $1.25 (nearly $14.00 in 2021) per week in allowance. Bud is expected to always answer the phone, which he hates. He is also shown as a somewhat dim boy who takes everything literally; for example, Jim might say, "Go jump in the lake," to which Bud would reply, "Okay, Dad; which lake should I go jump into?" He also uses the phrase "Holy Cow!" to express displeasure. On radio, Kathy often is portrayed as a source of irritation. She whines, cries and complains about her status in the family. She often is a source of money for her brother and sister, although she is in hock several years on her own allowance.

In an interview published in the magazine Films of the Golden Age (Fall 2015), Young revealed about the radio program: "I never quite liked it because it had to have laughs. And I wanted a warm relationship show.... When we moved to TV I suggested an entirely new cast and different perspective

Loss after loss after loss after loss …— Joey Johnston, Tampa (Florida) Tribune, 26 May 2001I know I sound like a broken record but I'll say it again: I believe that it is virtually impossible to predict mortgage rates over the short term.— Henry Savage, Washington Times, 8 June 2001 It's beginning to sound like a broken record. Robot Radio

Robot Radio

While most of us enjoyed an uneventful Labor Day Weekend, not everyone was chilling at the lake or chowing down at a family barbecue.  Many Americans are actively sweating their jobs – not because of the state of the economy but because of rapid advances in robotics.

Some unexpected job categories and professionals are apparently on the robotic chopping block, thanks to production efficiencies and the rapid development of AI.  This includes workers in hospitality, transportation (think autonomous cars), manufacturing, and retail.  That's a lot of jobs that could vulnerable to the Robby's and the Rosie's.

But even medical workers may be replaced by advanced robots, droids, drones, and automatons.  As the Boston Globe notes, “Machines can monitor vitals, and devices can administer medicine automatically.”  Machines are routinely reading X-rays while robots are performing surgery with precision.  Who needs a doctor or a nurse?

Even your accountant isn't safe, thanks to increased automation in tax returns and other functions that once required a pencil and paper.  Software like “Turbo Tax” do the work once done by CPAs.

We've seen much evidence of advanced technology in recent years at CES, where robots of all sorts, shapes, and sizes perform myriad functions – whether it's reading stories to your kids or showing you how to cook souffles.  Every year, these robots look cuter and more human, thanks to their inventors serving to make them seem more approachable and accessible. https://jacobsmedia.com/

Paid Vacation

Vacation time is not required by law. But if vacation pay is earned, it must be given to the employee. If the employee leaves, they must be paid for their unused time. The state law that applies is the Illinois Wage Payment and Collection Act.

Generally, PTO hours cover everything from planned vacations to sick days, and are becoming more prevalent in the field of human resource management. Unlike more traditional leave plans, PTO plans don't distinguish employee absences from personal days, vacation days, or sick days

You can research this topic all day long and find that Italian-Americans connote “gravy” to mean a sauce with meat in it. But Italian chefs will tell you that is what's called a Ragu. Breakfast Fetish

Sally Bodie, an archivist at the Smithsonian, won't eat animals that have appeared in Walt Disney movies. An Ithaca, N.Y., woman reportedly doesn't eat gherkin pickles because they remind her of baby alligators. Once a week for the past 15 years, local communications attorney Ron Siegel has eaten an entire Peking duck, usually triggered by "a little duck image" that appears in his head while driving home from work. Colleagues have affectionately dubbed a Washington trade association official's method of eating Peanut M&M's as "weird." Explains the official: "I bite it gently in the middle, eat half the chocolate coating, expose half the peanut. I grasp the peanut firmly with my teeth, eat the peanut, then the other half of the chocolate. I thereby get three bites out of every Peanut M&M. It takes me a week to eat a bag."

Not Invited To Weddings

A wedding is a ceremony where two people are united in marriage. Wedding traditions and customs vary greatly between cultures, ethnic groups, religions, countries, and social classes. Most wedding ceremonies involve an exchange of marriage vows by a couple, presentation of a gift (offering, rings, symbolic item, flowers, money, dress), and a public proclamation of marriage by an authority figure or celebrant. Special wedding garments are often worn, and the ceremony is sometimes followed by a wedding reception. Music, poetry, prayers, or readings from religious texts or literature are also commonly incorporated into the ceremony, as well as superstitious customs.
