197. Special Episode: "Your Identity is Not Connected to What Your Children Do" with guest Maurice Harker, M.Ed

This special episode features Life Changing Services Director Maurice Harker, M.Ed  Maurice talks specifically to mothers encouraging them to understand that their identity is not, and should not, be connected to others and what to they do or don't do. He teaches moms not to measure their worth by others and their actions, but to find divine acceptance and peace. He uses the examples of Eve and Sariah and asks--were they good mothers? Not all of their children made the best choices, did that diminish their worth or mean they did not teach their children? Listen as Maurice teaches a very important lesson on how mothers should value themselves and understand their divine worth. 190. Transforming Lives: The Sons of Helaman Program

In this podcast episode, we dive into the origins and impact of the Sense of Human program, a transformative initiative by Life Changing Services. Hosted by Maurice Harker, the director of Life Changing Services, this discussion sheds light on the profound changes it has brought to countless lives.

The episode highlights the journey of Maurice Harker, who, as an adolescent and young adult, faced his own self-mastery struggles. His experiences ultimately led him to pursue a master's degree in counseling with a desire to make a meaningful impact on relationships and marriages. This path eventually led him to develop the Sons of Helaman program.

Sons of Helaman is a powerful program designed to help young men struggling with self-mastery issues, particularly in the context of sexual self-mastery. Maurice talks about how he noticed common struggles among the young men he worked with and realized that they needed a different approach. Instead of merely addressing individual issues, he aimed to create a sense of community and teamwork.

The name "Sons of Helaman" reflects the idea of a team of warriors rather than individuals battling their problems. The program draws inspiration from the warrior mentality found in the Book of Mormon and seeks to help young men realize their nobility and greatness.
