I Told the Storm - The Lord's Prayer
The Lord’s Prayer is a pattern that Jesus taught his followers to pray. The Lord’s Prayer is a reminder of who God is and how we should engage with Him. So, the next time you pray start by reading the Lord’s Prayer and then pattern your prayer of the themes that Jesus used.

I Told the Storm - The Strength of Brokenness
Brokenness. It can mean a lot of things. It may imply messiness and imperfection. It may mean heartbreak. It may mean physical weakness. For some, it’s a reason to demand pity; for others, it’s motivation to stay “true to themselves” in their flawed humanity and not attempt to appear all put together in a nice, neat package. For others it’s a cool word, a trend. There’s a lot we could talk about in regards to the meaning of brokenness.

I Told The Storm w/ Min Kiesha L. Peterson
The season returns as we dive into the ups, downs, wins and losses that we all have faced in this walk of purpose. The pandemic hit but we did not break even when all was against us!
Join us as we close out Women's History Month with guest Min Kiesha L Peterson kicking off the new series "I Told the Storm."

Offered Up
When God Offers you Up, he is making you available for the purification processes, he is showing that you are ready for the battle and he is providing access to you for the test.

The Glory is His
You may feel burdened for a ministry that you’re not prepared for. You don’t feel comfortable in that role. Your ability or lack of it is pronounced and very obvious to all around. If so, you’re in good company. God only expects for you to be obedient, regardless of your comfort level. He’s got this. Rest in His power.

Walking With His Purpose
The assurance from His Word is that He’s going to overshadow our shortcomings and accomplish the outcome He desires if we follow His lead. Weakness only serves to underscore His power. We can rest, knowing that it’s nothing we can conjure up or manipulate. His Spirit will be at work.

When God Calls You
If you think about it for even just a few moments, you might recall at least one time when you weren’t the best candidate or the best prepared or the most comfortable and yet God used you in your weakness. The power of the Holy Spirit made the difference, using you to accomplish His purpose.
Foundational Text: Philippians 3:12-14
Application Text: I Peter 2:9-10

Letting Go!
We must accept the person we are in this moment and the way other people are, too. As time goes on, we continue to learn that things don’t always go as planned — actually, they pretty much never do. And that’s okay: If you become aware of yourself and your part of your relationships, they will improve; however, you may also have to accept facts about certain people in your life. Practice gratitude, appreciation, and trust in the process.

For The Love of Me!

Has Your Bottom Fallen Out Yet?
Mine did back in April 2012!
It was a painful experience and lesson to learn. Why had I gone through and still going through the craziness within my world? I had taken my eyes off the prize. I had become sidetracked yet again by what others needed and wanted; how to make them happy and to build them again to my own detriment.
So God had to allow my bottom to fall out and I then had to realize that He is my source and the one I needed to please was Him and no one else.

Betrayal: Why It’s Necessary
“I have been betrayed.” Everyone has uttered those words at one time or another in life.
Anyone who has been a leader in the Body of Christ for an extended period of time has experienced a major betrayal from someone close to them. The Bible makes it clear that if we follow Christ we will experience rejection and suffering. And we know of the betrayal Jesus Himself experienced.
If there were a binding contract to sign before entering ministry, the fine print would include: "The undersigned acknowledges that the ministry may be hazardous and subject the undersigned to expressions of animosity, including but not limited to calumny, slander, misrepresentation, and betrayal."
Being betrayed is so profoundly painful few can talk about it—yet if they do open up, they can't stop talking about what happened to them.

The Art of Distraction: Bad Alliances
If he can’t destroy you, he’ll distract you. If he can’t convince you to give up, he’ll divert your attention. If he can’t lead you to moral failure, he’ll get your focus misaligned. Distraction is one of the most effective tools of our enemy. (Previously Aired - May 30, 2019)

Living the Thankful Life
For a Christian, giving thanks is a response to the goodness and mercy of God. Additionally, it is a mark of obedience because we are commanded to give thanks. This is because God knows giving thanks is good for our relationship with Him and good for our wellbeing. Original Air Date 11/21/19

Leaving A Lasting Legacy
Leaving A Lasting Legacy

Fruit of the Spirit
Character counts. Who you are on the inside is a really big deal. The attitudes you have swirling around inside of you, and the values you have - these are way more important than people often think.

The Company You Keep!
" Show me your friends and I'll show you your future." The company we keep steers us either in the right or wrong direction."

Guarding Our Hearts
The heart is a mysterious spiritual reality that allows us to experience the fullness of life. It includes emotion, but the heart is not limited to emotion. According to Scripture, the heart can be grieved, troubled, broken, pierced, divided, and joyful. The heart is "the very core of life." Our heart is the truest expression of who we really are.

Controlling Our Thoughts
Character is more important that personal achievement or fulfillment.

Dangerous Prayers – Search Me
“What we fear the most reveals where we trust God the least.”

Dangerous Prayers - Send Me!
We serve a King who isn’t safe, but He’s good. When we pray, our prayers shouldn’t be safe; they should be good, big, and dangerous like God. We tend to come to God with our dirty laundry, or our laundry list of what He can do for us. What if we came asking what we could do for Him? That’d be dangerous.

Moving Past Resistance and Into Your Purpose.
Jeremiah 29:11 “‘I know the plans I have for you,’ says the Lord. ‘They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.’”What’s your relationship with resistance? How do you overcome resistance to stay true to yourself? Have you identified where the resistance is coming from? Have you learned to reject resistance.

The Power of Words
Our words are very powerful. Apart from the redeeming work of Christ we will only do harm with our words. We need wisdom from above to use our words wisely. Our words also reveal the state of our hearts.
Godly words can revive, heal, and change our lives. Ungodly words have the power to bind, imprison, and destroy.
Creative words create. Destructive words destroy. Hurtful words crush. Helpful words build up. Toxic words poison. Soothing words heal. Faith-filled words bring life. Faithless words bring death.
Who Are We? Our True Identity
You Must Believe God’s Truth About Who You Are!
Stop Listening To The Devil & Stand On God’s Word!
Let The Freedom Of Christ Reign In Your Heart Today!

Maturity is Not Optional
God wants us to experience the play and exuberance of spiritual freedom. He wants us to come outside, as it were, into the wide spaces of his kingdom, where we can learn the dance of his fellowship.

Are You Blocking Your Blessings?
Have you ever ask God what was stopping or blocking your blessing. God, why are you not moving on my behalf? God, did you forget me down here?

How to Forgive, When you Can’t Forget!
Have you been hurt? Chances are, you probably have. But it’s not okay to stay hurt. Because that’s unforgiveness, and it’s like drinking poison and expecting the other guy to die – it’s eating your lunch. God doesn’t want you to hurt anymore! Forgiveness is the only way to cut the chain of hurt and bitterness so you can be free.

Staying in Position
From time to time if you listen to the Holy Sprit He will ask you, "Where are you?" He is not asking for your physical location but rather where are you as it relates to your relationship with the Father. When He asks this it normally means you are out of position or you are starting to get out of position.

The Power of No!
No is both the tool and the barrier by which we establish and maintain the distinct perimeter of the self. No says, "This is who I am; this is what I value; this is what I will and will not do; this is how I will choose to act." We love others, give to others, cooperate with others, and please others, but we are, always and at the core, distinct and separate selves. We need No to carve and support that space.

Addicted to Busy
Are you addicted to being busy and overwhelmed? Why are you busy? What’s the point of it all?

In All Things Give Thanks
Thankfulness is so much more than a comparison of our own situation to someone else’s. Thankfulness is so much more than having enough food to eat, a nice, warm home to live in, good health, or financial security, because each of those circumstances can be taken from us in an instant. Thankfulness, then, is a state of being and a way of life, and we usually fail to live in a state of thankfulness because we take it for granted.
