After nearly three years after his previous EP, Shawn Maine is back to reintroduce himself to the world with his new Extended Play ‘When the Sun Sets'.

The Brittle Baritone voice-blaring singer Shawn Bisangwa also otherwise known as Shawn Maine sits down with Mugibson and peels back to the layers of who he really is, offering an in-depth look into what inspired his debut body of work “After the Pain” EP. He also unpacks the new project that he says on therapy, healing and moving forward past healing from heartbreak. Shawn Maine also discusses; being authentic, the dynamics of balancing school, music, and life and how these life experiences have informed his music evolution since his debut project “After The Pain”. His forthcoming Extended Play reflects those changes.

Famous for his emotional ballads, Shawn Maine is an alternative RnB artiste that currently resides in Uganda. He has over the years released a couple of years ever since he started doing music professionally in 2019. He takes inspiration from Stevie Wonder, Frank Ocean, Whitney Houston, Burna Boy, and many more. Shawn has since opened for acts: Jidenna, Nonso Amadi, Wizkid & Tems plus Omah Lay when they came to Uganda.

At the peak of the lockdown, Ugandan RnB powerhouse Allan Toniks sound tracked these daunting times for fans with the release of anthems: ‘Sikuleka’, and ‘My Miss’.

In this maiden episode of Mugibson Meets, and as a way of helping shape the tone of his ground breaking forthcoming album #AWO, and create an even more genuine connection between the artist and audiences, I am joined by the super star whose hit making ability knows no boundaries for an in-depth discussion on, his work ethic (song composing & overall creative process), handling pressure from fans, the lockdown and how it impacted his career.

This disorder is referred to as “Imposter syndrome”, a feeling like you are “pretending” to be what you are not. This happens to almost everybody. In this podcast, I do discuss the signs/ symptoms of imposter syndrome and how to overcome it.
