E30: Robert Powells, Founder of The Rocket Fizz Soda Pop and Candy Shops
Known as the largest candy and soda shop franchise in America, Robert Powells, along with his business partner Ryan Morgan, founded The Rocket Fizz Soda Pop and Candy Shops. Though Powells has since sold his interests in the brand, there'w now over 100 locations in the U.S. and Canada. In 2015, he was featured on an episode of CBS's Undercover Boss. He has written a book titled, The Story of Rocket Fizz, America's Largest Soda Pop and Candy Shop Franchising Company.

E29: Robert Metcalfe, Ethernet Inventor, Engineer and Entrepreneur
Starting in the 1970s Robert Metcalfe co-invented Ethernet, 3Com, his multibillion-dollar networking company, now part of Hewlett-Packard. He formulated Metcalfe's law, which describes the effect of a telecommunications network. Most recently he is a retired Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at The University of Texas at Austin. He holds degrees from MIT and Harvard, including his PhD in Computer Science.

E28: Maja Kuczyńska, Skydiving Champion & Red Bull Athlete
Maja Kuczyńska, 22, was introduced to skydiving by her father when she was 10 years-old during a tandem jump with him. Five years later should would go on to become the junior champion in freestyle at the FAI competition in Prague. Participating in both outdoor and indoor tunnel skydiving as a Red Bull athlete, she has amazed a following of over a million on TikTok and 400k on Instagram posting her jump videos. She has lived in many cities around the world including Munich, Paris and Prague. She currently lives in Wroclaw and trains alternately in Wroclaw and Warsaw, Poland where she is originally from.

Chris Ume is a video visual effects specialist from Belgium with experience in social media, entertainment and business. He is probably best known as the creator of the parody deepfake Tom Cruise account on TikTok. The account went viral when it launched in 2021 and has amassed nearly 3.5 million followers as of early 2022. Beyond the social media account, Chris is the co-founder of Metaphysic.ai and Every Anyone.

E25: Ansley Gordon, Actress & Writer
Fresh off the set of Ansley Gordon's latest film, "Love on the Reef," in which she wrote and stars is as Dr. Isla Waters, she took time to join us for this episode. In February 2022, Ansley wrapped the starring role in another TV RomCom "Lean Into Love," which is set for a Spring 2023 release.
In December 2021, she filmed another title she penned, "A Single's Guidebook to Love" which is set to come out this fall.
Along with her work in romantic TV movies, she has worked on a number of network comedies including FX’s "Better Things," "Crazy Ex-girlfriend" on The CW, and Starz’s "Survivor's Remorse."
As a writer, her work spans multiple genres and in her short screenwriting career, she’s sold nearly a dozen screenplays and currently has several others in development with both studios and production companies.

Imogen Crimp studied English at Cambridge, followed by an MA in contemporary literature from University College London, where she specialized in female modernist writers. After university, she briefly studied singing at a London conservatory. She lives in London.

Chris Morris is only the second Master Distiller at the Woodford Reserve Distillery. He had an important role in the development of the Woodford Reserve launch in 1996. The whiskey is one of the world’s fastest growing bourbons.

Chris began his career in the spirits industry in 1976 as a trainee in Brown-Forman’s central lab. In 1997, he found himself as an understudy to Lincoln Henderson, Woodford Reserve’s Inaugural Master Distiller, who in 2003 Chris succeeded. In the years that followed, Chris was responsible for creating the world’s first bourbon finished in Chardonnay and Pinot Noir Barrels. E22: Natalie Rose, TikTok Influencer
Natalie Rose is a professional Tiktok content creator, who became a viral sensation after posting a dance video in a hospital where someone commented on the clip, ”remember when you are a nurse you are supposed to be taking care of people instead of making a Tiktok,” and she replied to the person saying she is not a nurse.
Her actual job has never been revealed, which led her followers to attempt to guess her profession as she crisscrosses the country dressing up and acting the part in the many roles that come from those comments.
Her follower count on TikTok has exceeded 2.6 million as of the beginning of 2022.

Martin (Marty) Cooper, born in 1928, is a pioneer in the wireless industry, an inventor, entrepreneur, executive, and author. His essays and articles have been widely published. He is the author of Cutting the Chord. He believed the cellular phone should be a "an extension of its owner; that a telephone number represented that owner, not a place, not a desk, not a home, but a person."
Cooper conceived of the portable cellular phone and led the team at Motorola that created the first phone in 1973. He made the first public cell phone call on April 3,1973. He contributed to the technology of the wireless communications industry for over 60 years and contributed to every significant advancement in wireless communications, during this time.

E14: Frank Musker, Legendary Songwriter
Frank Musker is one of the most internationally successful and established British songwriter/lyricists in music. Actress, writer and producer Lauren Swickard has quickly established herself as a powerful woman in film, Lauren has written and sold multiple original screenplays throughout her short but impressive professional career. E10: 'Air Supply' guitarist and songwriter Graham Russell
Russell Hitchcock and Graham Russell met in Sydney, Australia on May 12, 1975 while performing in the musical Jesus Christ Superstar.
After the evening performance of Jesus Christ Superstar, they would play in Coffee Bars, Pizza Parlors, and anywhere they could to hone their vocal skills and harmonies.
“Lost in Love” was released in Australia in 1978 and again soared to the top of the charts. It found its way to Clive Davis, founder, and president of Arista Records, who immediately offered Air Supply a record deal.
The song was released in 1980 and became the fastest-selling in the world, topping the charts in a multitude of countries. “All Out of Love” was the second single released and topped the worldwide charts once again.
Seven consecutive Top-Five singles at that time equaled The Beatles’ run. The albums Lost in Love, The One That You Love, Now and Forever, and The Greatest Hits sold in excess of 20 million copies. “Lost in Love” was named song of the year in 1980 and along with the other singles, sold more than 10 million copies.
The trademark sound of Russell Hitchcock’s soaring tenor voice and Graham Russell’s simple but majestic compositions created a unique sound that would be forever known as Air Supply.
On May 12th, 2020, the band celebrated 45 years... the rest is music history.

E8: Randy Bresnik, NASA Astronaut
Randy “Komrade” Bresnik was selected as an astronaut in 2004. He was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps in May 1989. During his military career, he became an F/A-18 Test Pilot and was eventually deployed to Kuwait to fly combat missions in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. A veteran of STS-129 on Space Shuttle Atlantis in 2009, he has also trained as a Cave-a-naut with the European Space Agency to test living deep beneath the Earth’s surface as well as an Aquanaut for NASA’s Extreme Environment Mission Operation (NEEMO) 19. In 2017, Bresnik served as the Commander of the International Space Station for Expedition 53 and flight engineer for Expedition 52.

E7: Susan Bennett, the original voice of Apple's "Siri"
Susan Bennett is a voice-over artist who first started as a backup singer Roy Roy Orbison and Burt Bacharach. Some of her voice-over work for large companies include Delta Airlines, Discovery Channel, Coca-Cola, Warner Bros., Paramount, Walt Disney and more. She is best known for being the original voice of Apple's "Siri" since the service was introduced in 2011.
It wasn't until 2013 when Bennett revealed to the world that she, indeed, is the real human voice behind Siri.

E6: Bill Gibson, drummer for Huey Lewis and the News
Bill Gibson was born in Northern California and began playing music at 7-years-old. When he turned 12, his father, gave him his first pair of drumsticks and took him to see all the great big band jazz artists of the day. It was during that time period of his life when he became obsessed with the drums.
By age 18, Gibson formed the band Sound Hole. Sound Hole would eventually disbanded in 1976 and Bill started to play with legendary San Francisco bassist Jack Casady, Nick Buck, and Brian Marnell in a punk band called SVT.
In 1977, Huey Lewis and Sean Hopper’s band, Clover, had disbanded and Huey put together a lively jam session/variety show called “Monday Night Live” at a local club called Uncle Charlie’s. The band featured the core of what was to become The News. The Monday Night Live band began to record demo tapes in hopes of getting a record deal and in 1979, Huey Lewis and the News was formed with Bill as a founding member.

E5: Morgan Wright, NBC's 'American Ninja Warrior'
Morgan "Moose" Wright has competed on NBC's 'American Ninja Warrior' four times. He is also an award-winning elementary school physical education teacher and a decorated U.S. Army Veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom where he served as an Officer in Afghanistan.

E4: Dave's Killer Bread founder, Dave Dahl
Dave Dahl was born in Oregon and at the age of nine started working in his father's bakery; But that didn't last long as he would get caught up in a life of drugs and crime in his teen years that would follow him throughout much of his life. He would spend 15 years in prison for various crimes such as drugs and burglary.
It was in the mid-2000s that he would return to the family bakery and create an organic, crusty bread with whole grains and seeds that would be become hit — first at local farmers markets, and then eventually sold at grocery stores nationwide.
In 2015, he would sell the brand to Flower Foods for a reported $275 million dollars.

E3: Former World Heavyweight Boxing Champion, James "Buster" Douglas
James "Buster" Douglas is a former professional boxer from Columbus, Ohio who competed between 1981 and 1999. He is best known for his ten round battle with Mike Tyson on February 11, 1990, in Tokyo, Japan. Douglas shocked the world by knocking out Tyson to become the undisputed World Heavyweight Boxing Champion.
He would go on to become a boxing legend — complete with appearing on television, a movie and the cover of a video game.
In 2020, he celebrated the 30th Anniversary of the historic fight.

It was countless small parts in TV shows such as 'The Big Bang Theory,' 'Mike and Molly,' 'NCIS' and many more — coupled with commercials for such national brands as Progressive Insurance, Gain laundry detergent, Pizza Hut, Walmart, and Target that moved her career from part-time to full time actress. Ultimately it was that State Farm commercial that went viral that sent her from “commercial actress” to “She Shed Cheryl,” a moniker she would come to embrace.

E1: Dippin' Dots inventor, Curt Jones
Over 30 years ago, microbiologist Curt Jones transformed the way we eat ice cream. Jones combined liquid nitrogen and ice cream in his kitchen eventually coming up with what we know today as Dippin' Dots ice cream.
His first store opened in 1988 in Lexington, Kentucky and would go on to become a worldwide success with locations at fairs, festivals and major theme parks around the U.S., including 14 counties.
The journey to his fame hit some major — and minor —bumps along the way.
