Shanghai Tunnels
On this week’s episode we are going dark and discussing a heavy hitter in the paranormal community, the infamous Shanghai Tunnels of Portland. Trigger warning. It’s real dark. Name a bad thing and it will probably be mentioned today. Human trafficking, sexual assault, drugging, murder, cannibalism, racism. Yeah there’s a lot today. I discovered in my travels in the PWN that there are actually Shanghai Tunnels in Portland, Astoria, and Seattle. I thought this was fascinating! But the Portland ones are probably the most famous amongst paranormal enthusiasts because they have been seen on every ghost show basically ever. There is a lot of history to get through, don’t worry it’s very dark and gruesome. I was so upset when I didn’t get to go the first time I was in Portland so I made damn sure to go this time, and I’ll probably go again this year too! I even had a ghostly experience that I’ll tell you all about at the end.

Haunted Dolls finale with Raven's Dark Dolls
On this week’s episode I have my darling friend Bekah from Raven’s Dark Dolls. She is an artist that takes old dolls and puts a spooky twist on them. In her travels she has come across more than a few spirited dolls. We talk about the why, what to do with a doll spirited by a dark entity, and so much more!

The weird world of e-Bay Dolls
On this week’s episode we are going down the rabbit hole of the weird and wonderful world of haunted dolls on E-bay, with my buddy Andrew Cronk of Cronk Art & Curiosities. I thought that this was be a nice reprieve from the creepiness and yet we ended up giving each other the shivers.
So lets get into shall we? Grab yourself a cup of tea, make sure the doors are locked and the sage is close by. I have a story to tell you.

Annabelle
This week on the podcast we continue the month of Haunted Dolls with another of the most infamous, Annabelle. This sweet little Ragged Anne Doll has caused a lot of trouble. She tormented nurses, terrified priests, and even almost killed Ed and Lorraine Warren.

Robert the Doll
On this week’s episode we are delving into the history of one of the most famous haunted dolls in the world, Robert the Doll. This one has always given me the heebee jeebees. Maybe because it’s relatable. Robert has been to blame for people losing their jobs, relationships, deaths, and all sorts of mishaps. He has gained celebrity status from his little home at the Fort East Martello Museum in Key West, Florida where he receives 100s of visitors, letters, candy, and other presents a year. Many believe that he is the inspiration for the Chucky franchise.
But what/who is Robert? What haunts Robert the Doll? Has he come to life because of the love of an obsessive child or is he a demon? There’s so much to this one.

Ned the Alien and the 1897 UFO Crash in Aurora, Texas
On this week’s podcast, we are finishing up our tour of the Texas with an out of the world stop. We went to go see Ned the Alien’s grave and wandered around Aurora, Texas! For the UFO enthusiasts out there, this was like Roswell before Roswell. As the story goes in 1987, a ufo crashed on Judge Proctor's land. The most sensational part of the story is they recovered the pilot, described as Martian looking, and gave him a proper Christian burial in the local cemetery. But the mystery and controversy over Ned just keeps on growing, long after it’s death. Of course the easiest thing to do is dig them up and do some DNA testing but the debate over exhumation continues. UFO researchers have been even met in the cemetery by locals with guns protecting their Ned. The story is awesome.

Top 10 Haunted Bathrooms
Hello goblins and ghouls and welcome to another episode of my haunted life podcast, with me, your host, Angela Hartshorn.
How is everyone doing this week? This week I’m doing top 10 haunted bathrooms. No real surprise, most of them are found in the UK. I was actually surprised there were so many haunted, and well documented, bathrooms.
So lets get into shall we? Grab yourself a cup of tea, make sure the doors are locked and the sage is close by. I have a story to tell you.

Goatman's Bridge
On this week’s episode, we are continuing our adventures in Texas with my buddy Rayne and this time we are going to the infamous Goatman’s Bridge. This is an incredibly sad and dark story, full of racism, demons, and even child murder so be prepared for that. I feel like the story of Goatman’s Bridge has exploded in popularity in recent years and it seems like every ghost show or youtuber or podcaster has done an episode on it, so here’s ours! I’m curious, who guessed it from my incredibly difficult clues? Be honest! Anyway!
So lets get into shall we? Grab yourself a cup of tea, make sure the doors are locked and the sage is close by. I have a story to tell you.

Screaming Bridge
On this week’s episode, I’m taking you to the Screaming Bridge in Arlington, Texas, a creepy out of the way spot known to the locals as a place to hear disembodied screams from long dead teenagers who died on the road. Local legend states that some kids were out celebrating a football game win one night when they collided with each on the bridge. This seemed reasonable enough for me since football, especially high school football, you know, all of that Friday Night light stuff, is a big deal down in Texas. Apparently the area is now imprinted with the kids dying screams and legend has it that if you stare into the river where the car went in at midnight you can see the graves of those killed. This was all I knew about it going into this adventure. I’m doing something a little different this time. This time I’m going to be giving you the history, and then as an extra special treat, I will have the one and only Rayne on to discuss our adventures. I even have a little bit of video to share on the website.
So lets get into shall we? Grab yourself a cup of tea, make sure the doors are locked and the sage is close by. I have a story to tell you.

The death and ghosts of Stede Bonnet and Blackbeard, inspired by Our Flag Means Death
On this week’s podcast I am telling you about ghost pirates. As you should all know by now I’m a giant nerd and one of my newest obsessions is Our Flag Means Death on HBO starring Rhys Darby, who I would leave my husband for, and Taika Waitka as the pirates Stede Bonnet and Blackbeard. Some people might not realize that these were real guys! I feel like everyone has heard of Blackbeard from the 5 million pop culture references out there like Ian McShane in the Pirate of the Caribbean franchise and apparently Hugh Jackman in Pan. I need to go watch that apparently.
Bonnet is less well known. Growing up I had a pirate phase, I mean who didn’t, and I remember reading about the Gentleman Pirate. He wasn’t my favorite. I kinda lumped him with the likes of Holden Caulfield from Catcher in the Rye and the classic poor little rich kid archetype and I honestly hadn’t thought much about him since. And then I found out Rhys Darby was in a pirate show and I needed it in my life more than anything. Our Flag Means Death puts a comedic and romantic spin on Bonnet and Blackbeard’s relationship that made me care a little too much about these characters. And as I’m watching the show I couldn’t help but wonder if there’s ghost stories associated with them and of course there is! So I did some digging and honestly Bonnet might be one of my favorite pirates now! That being said, what happens to these guys is pretty rough so maybe prepare yourself for that. I actually teared up researching this one.

Lafayette Vampire
For those in the area you might know that the Arcane Vampire Ball has already happened. In fact, Candy and I talk about it alot in this episode. I heard it was a really great event. I highly recommend you all come out next year. Julian is hosting the The Colorado Springs Vampire Soiree this weekend. This Saturday. Definitely check that out if you can. It’s only $10 to get in and it’s going to be a lot of fun!
So lets get into shall we? Grab yourself a cup of tea, make sure the doors are locked and the sage is close by. I have a story to tell you.

Burying Point Cemetery
On this week’s episode I am finishing off the Salem episodes with a little trip to Old Burying Point Cemetery, the oldest cemetery in Salem and the second oldest cemetery in the nation. This is the quintessential colonial cemetery, 400 year old hand carved tombstones, big leafy trees creating long shadows and whose old roots are starting to push tombstones over. It’s immensely beautiful! And incredibly haunted.
So lets get into shall we? Grab yourself a cup of tea, make sure the doors are locked and the sage is close by. I have a story to tell you.

Ropes Mansion in Salem, Massachusetts
On this week’s episode we are continuing the Salem episodes with The Ropes Mansion. It is a gorgeous, two storied, white colonial mansion with cute little gabled windows. Its close to downtown Salem at 318 Essex Street.
The Ropes Mansion housed 4 generations of Ropes family members that lived and died within it’s walls. It saw happiness and a lot of tragedy, which makes sense why it’s one of Salem’s most haunted house, and it’s not even connected to the Salem Witch Trials. It might look incredibly familiar to those that are fans of the disney cult classic, Hocus Pocus. The Ropes Mansion exterior was used as Allsion’s house. Remember the part when Max and Dani are trick or treating and they get into a fight and she goes and cries in the hay bale and Max has to make her feel better and they are in front of that gorgeous home, yep that one.
So lets get into shall we? Grab yourself a cup of tea, make sure the doors are locked and the sage is close by. I have a story to tell you.

Salem Witch Museum Part 2
On this week’s and next week’s episode I’m continuing my interview with Rachel Chris-Doane, Director of Education of the Salem Witch Museum. This second part has become the most requested episode ever! I still can’t believe I got her on my little ole podcast. And the second part is just as good as the first!
So lets get into shall we? Grab yourself a cup of tea, make sure the doors are locked and the sage is close by. I have a story to tell you.

Salem Witch Museum Part 1
On this week’s and next week’s episode I’m talking to Rachel Chris-Doane, Director of Education of the Salem Witch Museum. You know the one in the beautiful castle looking structure, that was actually featured in FallOut 4. I still can’t believe I got her on my little ole podcast. As you all know I’m a bit of a history nerd, and Rachel absolutely annihilated most of what I thought I knew and taught me so many new things I had no idea about. I have been raving about this interview since it has happened. And I’m so excited to finally get it out to you. We talked long enough that I’m actually going to break it into two episodes so prepare for the first half.
So lets get into shall we? Grab yourself a cup of tea, make sure the doors are locked and the sage is close by. I have a story to tell you.

Bobby Mackey's Music World
For this week’s episode I’m doing what is known as "the most haunted night club in America,” Bobby Mackey’s Music World in Wilder, Kentucky. I feel like this one is a two for one special. Not only is there a tale of love gone wrong that there are two! One is the unfortunate story of Pearl Bryan, whose story rivaled the murder of Lizzie Borden’s parents in media attention which happened only four years earlier and competed for the dubious distinction of “Crime of the Century.” The second story is that of Johanna and her rose perfume and how her story transcends time.
So lets get into shall we? Grab yourself a cup of tea, make sure the doors are locked and the sage is close by. I have a story to tell you.
Thank you to everyone out there listening today. I know this one was a bit of a dark one and kinda rough to get through so thank you to everybody that hung on. Love Month: Chatham Manor
On this week’s episode we are talking about the White Lady of Chatham Manor in virginia. It’s a short, sweet story. Chatham Manor has seen a lot of horror with slavery, a slave rebellion, and the civil war, even being used as a battlefield hospital but the story of the white lady has endured as the most popular ghost story at Chatham Manor.

Resurrection Mary Part 4
This week I’m finishing off the Resurrection Mary episodes. I have Tony Szabelski on from Chicago Hauntings. Tony was the nice gentleman that helped up with the Kean Ave Werewolf research. We are discussing what it like being a ghost tour leader in Chicago and in particular the Archer Triangle and we also discuss one of the most famous and mysterious Mary case, the one with the Resurrection Cemetery gates. And of course, a little more about Chicago’s other haunted locations.

The Archer Triangle, Part 3 of the Resurrection Mary Saga
This week we are going back to Chicago and I’m going to tell you about all the weird things that surround Resurrection Cemetery and our girl Mary. This area has been dubbed the Archer Triangle. Of course our girl is the most famous entity but there was so much it needed it’s own episode. We are talking ghosts and gangsters, monks and demons, werewolves and nuclear bombs. Also one of the strangest and saddest true crime stories that I have ever read, that shook the country and even got Elvis involved.
So lets get into shall we? Grab yourself a cup of tea, make sure the doors are locked and the sage is close by. I have a story to tell you.

Christmas Witches
This week I’m doing an episode inspired by my friends Andrew and Chris at Cronk Art and Curiosities. They were recently traveling in Europe, Italy in particular, and ended up at Christmas Market. As their story goes, they were wandering the stalls and they came across this table of nutcrackers and santas and at the end of the table were a bunch of witches and they had to buy me one. I lost my mind and got really excited for my little La Befana so I thought a fun holiday episode about Christmas witches was called for. I'm going to tell you about Gryla, Frau Perchta, Holda, Grye-Carling, and La Befana.

La Llorona
This week I’m continuing the stories that scared the out of me so I’m telling you about the legend of La Llorona, the weeping woman. She is a famous spirit known in latin american cultures but has been gaining popularity in the past few years since she has started showing up in more populated areas usually caught on security cameras drifting through the streets.

Episode Throwback: The Pickety Witch Rachel Powell and New Gloucester
For those that have been listening to the show for a little while you might have realized that we hit an anniversary! The podcast is officially 1 year old as of July 30th! We made it a year! To celebrate I’m doing a throwback episode, all the way back to I believe episode 2 with my very dear friend Rachel Powell of the Pickety Witch. I’m so excited about today’s story brought to you by the Pickety Witch. It has a little bit of everything. Ghosts with knives, a cleaning spirit, a phantom baby crying, and we even talk a little bit about the fae. This episode also includes our first EVP!
Rachel is also the featured artist in my autumn equinox subscription box! I have a ton of her Mabon pins, as well as spells about apples, some shadow work, there’s a lot of fun stuff in this box. I technically have two featured artists for this one because it has been so crazy I’m getting candles made by Brittany over at Faery Grove Candles for the Autumn Equinox Box and the Samhain Box! I’m so very excited for these. You can get your box at www.foggcouture.com

The Devil Made Me Do It Part 1
In 1980 David Glatzel became possessed by a demon. Out of desperation David's sister's boyfriend, Arne Cheyenne Johnson, told the demon to leave his little buddy alone and to take him on instead. This had dire consequences. This ended up leading to one of the most famous murder cases of all time, the aptly nicknamed The Devil Made Me Do It Case. This was one of Ed and Lorraine Warren's biggest cases of their careers. This might sound familiar since it was the basis for the Conjuring 3 movie that came out this year. This week I tell you about how it all began!

Kiki Dombrowski and A Curious Future

Desperation Mona
On today's podcast I tell you the story behind local legend, Desperation Mona. Frequent guest of the show, my grandmother, found this story in the newspaper and had to send it to me. I had actually never heard of Mona, even though I have lived in the area my whole life, and had to get to researching. This story becomes a rabbit hole that I did not expect. There's a ghost, a murder on Pikes Peak, and a serial killer that uses rattlesnakes. Grandma was very excited to hear my findings so I had her on the podcast!

The Glam Witch and Chicago

The Glam Witch and Bachelor's Grove Cemetery, Part One

Bella goes into the history of the park and the history of the hauntings. Paranormal history is my absolute favorite!
