The Holy Spirit should transform everything within us, including how we view our "treasures". So we will look at two stories in the Bible of men who had a lot of possessions and money, and how differently they received Jesus.

Every believer has a Spiritual Gift. The Christian Life is undeniably and unavoidably a supernatural life! We will not desire the supernatural gifts of the Spirit unless we believe our life is meant to display the supernatural power of God!

The gifts of the Spirit may not be the most important doctrine in the New Testament, but they are also not something to be demoted to a marginal role in the life of the believer and the Church! The Gifts matter! They are important and discovering what they are, how they are given, and how to operate in them has the potential to be life-changing for the believer and life-giving for the Church!

We are in week two of the Holy Spirit Series. Last week we saw that the Holy Spirit is a person and He is God. This week we see that the Holy Spirit makes us spiritually alive—born again.

Baptism is a declaration that says, “I belong to Jesus!” We are going to look at Matthew 3 as Jesus models baptism to those who follow Him. He shows us what it means to belong to Him and what it means to declare that you belong to Him through Baptism!

We are two natures. The flesh and the Spirit. These natures are warring against each other, but the good news is that the Spirit has taken His residence within you to produce fruit! Our flesh has been crucified and we have been made alive by the Holy Spirit!

For the last 40 years at New Beginnings God has been pouring out blessings on us, increasing us, and causing us to grow. In 1983, 65 people gathered, they didn’t have a building, they didn’t know what God was going to do, but they believe God was at work. But God is not done with us yet! He is calling us to step out and TRUST Him to do more than we can ask or imagine!

Jesus demonstrated throughout His ministry that Every Person is Valuable through His encounters with people. God so loved the world: because Every Person is Valuable. "Go to all the world" because every person is valuable. We look at Jesus showing how valuable every person is by ministering to blind Bartimaeus and Zacchaeus in Luke 18 and 19.

In John 6 Jesus says something that dramatically changes the way He was viewed by many who were following Him—a statement that caused many to turn their back and abandon Him. These disciples were walking with the son of God, they were 24 inches away from Eternal Life itself, and they decided that the price was too much. 

Jesus tells His disciples that they must fully surrender to Him and receive Him as their only hope.
