Even when you are at your lowest God is still right beside you.

For the last be Holy sermon we talked about how to be holy when you are married, married with kids, or if you are single, and to be holy with your family.

We are called to be Holy! That can be a hard thing to even understand let alone be. This is a series geared at understanding what this word means and how we can live as God has called us to live.

In this episode we look at ourselves. It is important that we understand who we are and who God says that we are.

In every trade there are tools that that help get the job done. However, using the wrong tool at a certain time in a project can cause damage rather than producing a finished product. The same is true in our Christian walk; we have tools! If we don’t correctly use our tools we can spiritually damage people.

Power! You will receive power when the holy ghost has come upon you Acts 1:8! We get it with the purpose of being his witnesses. So what does that look like when the church started. The book of Acts details the starting of the church, the church the God had planned.

Today, we begin our transition into the new testament, looking at the promises that God has given us. We can be freed from bondage and delivered in Jesus name.

God is still a promise keeper!

We must always remind ourselves of the goodness of God. When we face trials and we make it out, we must remind ourselves that we did not do it on our own. We must in those moments remind ourselves of what God has done in and through us.

Last week we focused on the cleaning of the temple and the connection between Abraham and the Triumphal Entry. I can’t imagine how triumphant it was when God provided a sacrifice for Abraham. The feeling Abraham must have felt was probably similar to what the people of Israel felt at the time of Jesus triumphal entry. All that leads us to Easter which is the crucifixion and the resurrection. Easter coincides with the Passover that started just before Israel was released from bondage. It is a reminder that before victory comes death.

What do we do when what we see does not align with what we thought? Do we follow man or do we follow God’s plan?

Today will be a bit differently than the past two weeks as we will focus on a lot of the story of one person. As a church we must be in unity. All victory that has ever been given by God, a contributing part of it was the unity of the people. Let’s look at the story of Babel for a second. You can read more about it in Genesis 11. We see the people wanting to build a tower get to God and in verse 6 6 The Lord said, “If they have begun to do this as one people all having the same language, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. As the people of God we should be one people, one voice, one purpose because we serve on God. That brings us to the focus scripture for this week Ephesians 4:2-6.

We are focusing on the stories that display God’s Redemption and Rescue through this series. We serve a mighty God who has displayed himself in power, in love, and sound judgment.

God has always had a plan.  He has been perfecting and working for his people from the beginning of time.  These three stories show God redeeming plan for his people and that He does fight on our behalf.  This sermon looks at the darkness and how God has always operated as the light and his work is not contingent on the night.

Is our love for God based on how we have been treated by man?

Is our love for Christ pulling us away from the things of the world?

Is our love for God causing us to lend ourselves to the service of our brothers and sisters?

As a Christian, I will will love where God sends me even if I am hated.

In the past week we talked about awakening that took place.  We talked about the Day of Pentecost, we talked about Charles Perham, and Azusa street.  One thing that was evident was a demonstration of God’s Power. 1/8/23

The objective today is to look at past awakenings and find what has been done to spark a spiritual awakening.  The overarching scripture is Romans 13:11 11 Besides this, since you know the time, it is already the hour for you[a] to wake up from sleep, because now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.

This is from our Christmas Eve Service on 12/24/2022.  We look at the gift we give and the gift of communion with our God.

God has always been reaching. From the beginning of time God was planning a way to gather His people. Part of understanding Christmas is understanding that God is still calling. 

Today we continue the Christmas story with Mary and Elizabeth being pregnant. Both women were giving birth to miracles but still had to experience pain in their promise. 

Today, we begin our Christmas series, and look at the beginning preparations for the Messiah.

Today we discussed the parable of the treasure in the field. There is a treasure in your field, you just have to buy it.
