We’re in the series “Am I Living a Life that Matters?” This series is based on the writings of one of Jesus’ friends, the Apostle John. John wrote this letter to the church of the first century to help them know how they could live a life that matters. In this episode, we are in 1 John 4 as we look at living a life that matters with truth.

We’re in the series, “Am I Living a Life that Matters?” So far, we’ve seen that FELLOWSHIP and LOVE are integral parts of making our lives matter. If we want to live in a way that brings both recognition to God, and significance, meaning and joy to our lives, we need FELLOWSHIP with Christ and His followers, and we must practice a life of LOVE. Today we add a third word to our list of key concepts that make life worthwhile: RIGHTEOUSNESS.

We’re in a series called, “Am I Living a Life that Matters?” Last week, if you remember, we discovered that FELLOWSHIP is one of the keys to living a life that matters. Well, now we’re in chapter 2 of 1 John, and there’s another key word to add to FELLOWSHIP. That key word…is LOVE. Love is the second integral part of a living a life that matters. But the emphasis John makes in this chapter is that our love must be the right kind of love. 

We're beginning a new series today called, "Am I Living A Life That Matters?" I believe most of us want to live a life that matters. When we come to the end of our existence on earth, we want to be able to say we made a difference. Join us today as we study 1 John 1:1-10 and see how fellowship can help us live a life that matters.

We are a divided country on many subjects. Hatred is being spewed towards those who don't believe the same as we do.  Join us today as we discuss what the call of the church, and each one of us should be. We will study 1 Corinthians 11 to see that we become unified only because of Jesus Christ.

There are times when we all fail to keep our promises. We have good intentions and plans. But sometimes they just fall by the wayside. Sometimes we blatantly break our promises, but other times, we just kind of drift away. Join us as we study Nehemiah 13 and see what we can do when we fail to keep our vows to God.

God wants us to make investments that last. When we give of our time, talents, and treasures to the kingdom, we will find a great peace. Join us as we study Nehemiah 10 and see the vow, or promises, that you and I need to make in order to make investments that last.

There are times in our lives where we are pumped up about what's happening. But there are other times that we are just bummed out. In fact, in our spiritual lives, we often experience indescribable joy when we contemplate God's amazing grace. But then there are times that we grieve and mourn over our own tendency to tune out spiritually. Join us as we study Nehemiah 9 and see what we should be focusing on.

Have you ever thought the Bible was too confusing to read? Maybe you feel like the Bible is too confusing to study. Or even after you read the Bible, it seems that it's impossible to apply? If you answered yes to any of those questions (and even if you said no), join us as we study Nehemiah 8 to see how we can get a renewed spirit and be committed to God and His Word.

It's so easy to get distracted. As we study Nehemiah 6, we will look at the ways Satan tries to sidetrack us and what we can do to deal with those distractions.

We all have friction in our lives. Maybe it's in your home, or your workplace, maybe even in the church. Whatever and wherever it is, don't let it fester any longer. Join us as we study Nehemiah 5 and see how, with God's help, we can prevent friction in our lives.

Do you ever get discouraged? Maybe you get discouraged over the same things over and over again. Maybe you get discouraged because you are discouraged. Join us as we study Nehemiah, Chapter 4, and we look at the causes and cures of discouragement.

This week, we took a break from Nehemiah because Tropical Storm Isaias was going to make landfall. We made a decision while it was still a hurricane to close our doors and ensure we kept everyone safe. In this morning's episode, we study Psalm 130 and see how we can identify with those experiencing disasters in their lives and relay the hope we have in the Lord.

This morning we are jumping into the next chapter of Nehemiah; chapter 3. Although it seems dry, with a lot of names we cannot pronounce, there is a great lesson about working well with others. 

In part 2 of our "It's Time to Build" series, we look at the tools Nehemiah had in his toolbox to tackle his tough job of rebuilding the wall and the tasks he was able to accomplish with those tools. Join us as we study Nehemiah 2 and get challenged to pickup the tools we will learn about and use them in our lives. 

In this episode, we’re kicking off an 11-part series based on the book of Nehemiah that we’re calling, “It’s Time to Build.” We will begin with Nehemiah 1 and exactly where we should be starting. That's with an emphasis on prayer. We can never speak enough about prayer, and prayer is one of the overriding themes of this book and the secret to Nehemiah's success. Join us as we learned where Nehemiah started and learn how to pray.

Join us as we study Judges 24:15 and see the parallels between the United States' founding fathers allegiance to their country, and our allegiance as Christians to our Lord Jesus Christ.

There is so much going on in our world from the coronavirus, to crime, to disasters, to signs in the heavens, to racism, to political chaos, and we need God to revive and heal our land right now! And while God can certainly use these situations to position us for revival, the key is going to be the response of God’s people. Join us as we study 2 Chronicles 7:14 to see what is necessary on our part for God to revive this land.

We are involved in a war today, and the battleground is not in some overseas country. The battlegrounds is in our homes. What's at stake isn't our land, our property or freedoms. It's much more important than that. What's at stake are our children. On this Father's Day, join us as we study Judges 2:6-12 and see what we need to do to win the war for our children. And by the way, this may be a Father's Day sermon, but this is for all of us. Men, Women, Boys and Girls alike.

It’s easy to believe in God and have hope when we can see the answer to whatever situation we might be going through. But on the other hand, when we can’t see an answer, it’s not nearly as easy to have hope. Join us as we study Romans 4:18-22 to see how we can develop biblical hope and hold onto that hope in every season we might go through.

There are consequences in our lives if we do not forgive others. We struggle all too often forgiving others because we might not understand what true forgiveness is. As we conclude our 4-Part Series on Grace, we will look at Matthew 6:11-15 and see what God says forgiveness is and what forgiveness is not. 

Our hearts are so prone to leave the God we love, and they need to be restored. Join us as we learn the reason why we turn away from God and what we can do to receive God's Restoring Grace.

Join us as we learn how to get the Sustaining Grace we need from God, in order to live in this broken world. 

The Grace of God is like a diamond. You can turn it, and look at it from different angles and you can see it shine in new ways. Join us today as we start off with the most basic angle: Saving Grace.

Being that Mother's Day was VERY different in the church, we are honoring all the mothers with children in the home; Mothers with children who are out of the home; Mothers with angel babies who have passed before, or during birth; and Mothers who have had children pass during their lifetime. We are thankful for all of you.

Dealing with the COVID-19 Virus has been stressful. We've made changes to our lifestyle to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus. Join us as we study Hebrews 3:12-13 as we try to get on the offensive against offenses, and ask ourselves the question: "What if we treated sin like it was the coronavirus?"

I love cars! Maybe you do too. I love muscle cars the most. I even own a muscle car, and it's a stick shift. I try very hard to never grind the gears in my car, so I won't mess up the gears in my transmission. Join us as we study Philippians 4:8 and see how we are encouraged to think in biblically correct ways and not grind our gears in life and effect our transmission with God.

Here we are, the week after Easter. What do we do now? As we study Acts 1:4-8, we will learn that we still have a job to do and that we must remain awake and fulfill our charge as His body, and as His church.

The COVID-19 Virus has cancelled a lot of events, but it will never cancel the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. As we study Romans 8:31-39, and as this Easter will go down in the history books forever, make a choice to be a conqueror today. JESUS IS ALIVE!

Walking into Jerusalem, Jesus was treated as a victorious King. Join us as we study John 12:12-19 and see how we should be worshiping OUR King.

Is that really in the Bible? 

Today we are looking at that very popular saying, "Money is the root of all evil." Join us as we study 1 Timothy 6:6-10 to learn the ABC's about money. 

Last week, we talked about loving ALL life without limits. We focused on loving others, including the unborn. One of life's challenges is staying optimistic about the future. Adverse circumstances can cloud our vision of tomorrow and even make it tough to maintain a positive attitude. We can be tempted to lose hope. The good new is that Jesus has encouraging truth for you so that you never lose hope. Do certain foods bring back memories for you? For me, it is rice and beans. It brings me back to my childhood. When we partake in the Lord's Supper, that meal should bring back memories of what God has done for you and for me. As we explore Matthew 26:17-30, let us resolve to put Jesus at the center of our lives in 2020.

Do you ever get snags in your clothes? You know what I mean. You catch your shirt or sweater on something and that one piece of thread pulls out. That is kind of what happens in our life. We get snags from time to time. Join us as we explore John 9:1-7 and see how we can look at those snags in our life differently.

In this episode, the Sunday before Christmas, we explore the all-time best gift that has ever been given to us. Jesus Christ. Join us as we look at Luke 2:1-20 as we explore why Jesus is the greatest gift of all time.

In tonight's episode, we will learn that we should see God in our storms, but we also need to let others see God in our actions while we are going through our storms. As we study John 6:14-21, we will find out that we need to hold tight to His plan and purpose, understanding, and our faith.

In this episode, we look at how a man named Joseph responded to the gift that God had for him. We'll see that he wasn't too thrilled with the whole idea at first, but he eventually accepted the present as God carefully unwrapped it for him. Through this message, we will learn that it is time to discover that God is with us. Join us, as we learn from Matthew 1:16-25.

God ALWAYS has a plan! Nothing catches God by surprise. Nobody can ever point a finger at God for not having a good plan. And no one will ever be able to say that God did not initiate His plan on time. So when your resources are running low and you are hitting the bottom of the barrel, know that God has a plan for you. Join us a we study this plan in John 6:1-13.

What do you do when you face a severe loss? Maybe you just lost your job? Perhaps your marriage is on the brink? Kids not acting right? Whatever your loss may be, let Jesus' words from John 5:1-14 encourage you to take actions so you are not paralyzed with your loss.

Thanksgiving doesn't need to be centered around some special date we set on a calendar. Thanksgiving, has been and always will be a matter of action and of the heart. Join us as we study Psalm 100 and notice 7 action words we are called to.

In Tonight's Episode, we will continue looking at the Book of Ruth to see how God brings about His will. What we will discover is that faith in God is at the same time, passive and active. Passive in the sense that it depends on God acting, and active because there are times where our faith will demand action on our part. 

In this morning's episode we learn from Paul what it takes to become a Veteran in the Army of the Lord. 

Tonight we continue our series on the Heroes of Faith. We will see that God uses an individual believer as the catalyst to bring about change in those around them. We too, can have a significant effect on others as well by our acts of covenant love.

Have you ever heard someone say, “That church is really on fire!”? Or maybe, “That person is really on fire for the Lord.”? This morning we will see what God says to encourage us to keep the fires burning in our lives. We can keep that fire burning with God’s help. Not just in our individual lives, but in the life of the church.

Tonight we are jumping into Judges 6:1-7:25 and focusing on the life of Gideon and the process in which Gideon was changed by God into a leader and rescuer of his people.

Why do churches still ask you to join as a member? Is it just to be part of a group or some secret society? We will answer these questions by taking a look at 1 Corinthians 12:12 and see what God's Word says about membership.

Today we look at how God wants every church to be a Community Church. A church that cares for each other and carries each others burdens. 

We must learn from history. God has given us a great book in the book of Judges to see that there is a pattern we follow in the flesh. Tonight's episode will venture to see what that pattern is so we might be able to learn from it and get closer to God.

God has given us certain characteristics to have in a church. This week we look at the next character trait in our series. The trait of reaching out to those around us by sharing the Gospel message of Jesus Christ.

Sometimes we need to evaluate how we are doing. As much as we may not like taking tests, we must admit that they're helpful. Tonight's message looks at 1 John 2:3-11 as we do some self-assessment to make sure our spiritual journey is a walk that is pleasing to God.

What are the memorial stones in your life? We all have them. Stones to help us remember something in our past. We look at Joshua 4 tonight and explore the various memorial stones that God has given us to remember Him by.

This morning we look at Matthew 11:28-30 as we continue to look at the Character Qualities that God wants every church to have. We will see how the Bible tells us that God wants every church, to be a church that learns from Jesus. When we learn from Him, we can do what Jesus wants us to do and be what Jesus wants us to be.

We cannot forget that we were given 66 books in the Bible to study. Tonight we are looking at Exodus 19:1-25 and seeing why the law is important to us even today.

Worship is so much more than just singing praise to God. Worship is within you. Join us as we look at John 4:19-24 and see how we can and should worship.

What happens to God's people when they lose sight of the God-given calling? What happens to God's people when they fail to honor the Word of God as their standard of Lifestyle? What happens when they compromise the essence of godliness and only retain a form of godliness in its place? I believe we get some answers to those questions when we read Judges 17 & 18. 

We all have character qualities. But what kind of Character qualities should a church have? Join us as we explore this question by looking at Acts 2:41-47
