It's been a minute! What did I miss??

Just kidding!

This year has been hell! I'm currently releasing this episode from a place where the air is too toxic to breathe and if I stay outside too long, my nose bleeds! Fun! 

Anyway! This episode was recorded way way back in early 2020. I needed some time off to focus on my community and mental health for a while but I've been sitting on these episodes since then. Nialla and I went to school together and have known each other for a little while. She's a beautiful person both inside and out and I'm so glad I got to know her. If you don't follow her on Instagram, you have to, her style is AMAZING! I'm also so happy that she's able to work on a show like 'Evil' because it really showcases her interests and skills as an artist. 

This is a very special bonus episode for the listeners. Thank you so much for following me and being part of this project with me. I really appreciate it.

So sorry for the late episode! Honestly, I have no idea what day it is and what year it is. March was 66 days long. I woke up and had no idea what my name was. But this episode is a real treat! I'm joined by DEMONHUNTR writer/producer/filmmaker Tim O'Leary to talk about the process of making an inclusive horror show in today's culture. We also talk about real important issues like Adam Driver's weird sexual energy, how knowledge of astrology is required to live on the west coast, and how much we stan bisexual kings.

We are back with another episode, talking Night of the Living Dead (1960) with filmmaker and educator Nicole Pouchet. We have a great time talking about the horrors of racism, versus the horrors of the undead, how good it felt to see Ben slap Barbara, and the slave origins of the zombie mythos. It's a good time.

Welcome me back actually. I know it's been a while since I released a new episode but I come with a treat. For my first episode back, I'm interviewing podcaster and writer of the movie Black Christmas, April Wolfe! We talked about the 1999 film Ravenous, gatekeeping in the horror fandom, and working with Blumhouse.

 It's a SOLO episode for today! I was sick and had to miss the last episode I'm so SORRY! But now I'm back and since the Seattle International Film Festival just ended I wanted to give my movie picks as well as some major films I've seen recently.  I also talk about The Love Witch, Knife + Heart, Rock n Rule, Phantom of the Paradise, and Helsinki Mansplaining Massacre. 

Tonight was a great interview with Adrienne Clark who works at the Museum of Pop Culture aka the MoPOP here in Seattle. We had a great convo talking about horror paperbacks, Hellraiser, Ryan Reynolds abs, and the new Child's Play movies. It was a really great convo UNTIL the internet crapped out BUT that just means I'll have to have her on again real soon!
