Online Education for Prison Officers in Iceland
Starfsmennt is an educational centre for public employees. The centre is responsible for organising trainings for public employees throughout the country.
In 2018, Starfsmennt began working on a project on transforming the traditional on-site training for prison officers into online education. The prison officers needed education that was available from all parts of the country and at all times of the day keeping high quality of the education.
The pilot project was focused on a group of prison officers who needed to complete basic training to get permanent employment. Until last year, this was usually done through education on-site, but during this pilot programme, the focus was on creating and presenting online education through the Eloomi platform.
Listen to the podcast in English and learn more about the experiences and challenges associated with the project.

QR-koder i språkundervisning i Närpes
