Let Him Lead...

Let Him Lead...

Let’s begin by looking at Proverbs 6:8 CEV, which says: Always let him lead you, and he will clear the road for you to follow. Don't ever think that you are wise enough but respect the Lord and stay away from evil. This will make you healthy, and you will feel strong... OR are we trying to move within our own power without the guidance and direction of the Holy Spirit? Let's take a look at what we can do to "Let Him Lead" us... Reluctant Obedience

Reluctant Obedience

Well I’m sure that with a topic like “Reluctant Obedience", you must be curious of what does that really mean. It’s an oxymoron at the very least, so please allow me to explain… The question is, how many times have we been reluctantly obedience, because we have taken responsibility for something that wasn’t ours to begin with and thought that we could control the outcome.  Ultimately, when the Lord tells us to do something, reluctant obedience is disobedience, and we never want to be guilty of that. I have found that knowing the Lord as a loving father, we understand He will chastise us when we get it wrong. So let's explore this a little further... If you’ve listened to this podcast and you’d like to discuss it a little further, you are invited to “Un-Clutter Your Mind: A Spiritual Refreshing”, a Sunday afternoon chat on March 26th at 4 pm.  Click registration link and after registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. Please let me a message if you have any questions.  Each session is limited to 7 people, so let me know as soon as possible. Hiding or Hidden - Part II

Hiding or Hidden - Part II

The Holy Spirit has finally allowed me to continue with Hiding or Hidden – Part II, although we know that the last two episodes were not really detours, but steps on our path that He had already ordained. So, today we are considering if we have the courage to come out of hiding, from behind our stuff, our insecurities, or other people? Or are we simply hiding behind our busyness?  But what if the Lord is keeping us Hidden until He’s ready to expose us to those that need us.  So, let's explore...  Are you Hiding or Hidden? "Bear Good Fruit!"

"Bear Good Fruit!"

Over the past few weeks, we decided that we are going to stop trying to hide from the Lord, seek His presence and worship Him; trust His sovereignty and lean into the Holy Spirit.  Today, we are going to delve into the idea of what it means to “Bear Good Fruit”.  Many times, there are things that we have heard and or learned that we have taken for granted and have not fully understood, that may be crucial as we continue to proceed on the next leg of our spiritual journey.  So let's take a closer look at what it means to Be Fruitful... Biblical Rest...

Biblical Rest...

Last week, our topic was “Hiding or Hidden” – Part 1 and we talked about the impossibility of trying to hide from the Lord, and more. So, this week, we were supposed to look at the idea of “being hidden by God”.  Therefore, you may have been a little surprised to see that our topic is “Biblical Rest”, but that’s because, as always, the Holy Spirit had other plans.   A few weeks ago, “While in Winter”, we looked at biblical rest, a place that I am still in. I realize now that I had found myself in “full speed ahead” mode, when the Holy Spirit said, “pump the brakes”!  Then He began to ask me some rather thought-provoking, soul-searching questions, and the first being, are you truly mentally and spiritually prepared for where you are going?  Therefore, this week, we are going to take a closer look at the question... "Hiding or Hidden" - Part I

"Hiding or Hidden" - Part I

I’m sure that you have looked at this week’s topic, "Hiding or Hidden", and have immediately wondered, What’s the difference? Well, I am glad you asked…. Are we trying to hide from God? Or Is He keeping us Hidden?  We know that we can’t hide from God, but we can shrink back from those things that we know He has told us and needs us to do. We may not be intentionally trying to hide from the Lord; however, we may be unconsciously avoiding what the Lord has called us to do by becoming preoccupied with all our other stuff.   So, do we have the courage to come out of hiding, from behind our stuff, our insecurities, or other people? Are we hiding behind our busyness?   Let's take a few moments to consider the answer to these questions... While in Winter...

While in Winter...

As I mentioned in the last episode, I have found myself in the Winter season, and the Lord has continued to clear my calendar, one client at a time. At this point, since I have been at this place before, I was even more convinced that the Lord was freeing up my time for a specific reason and it was not so that I can play Words with Friends.  Although Winter is a time for rest, which means a time of “peace, ease or refreshment’, we must also understand the biblical definition of entering God’s Rest!  Biblical rest is not only something we do for our body, soul, and spirit, but a form of worship.  While in Winter,  we must determine if we are mentally and skillfully prepared to reap the harvest.  We often talk, wish, and pray for the harvest, but what about once it comes...  Remember Our Steps are Ordered! In Due Season...

In Due Season...

Last week, we left off with Galatians 6:9 KJV, which says; And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season, we shall reap if we faint not, and we will come back to it a little later. In the meantime, you may not have realized it, but we have five (5) seasons, Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall, and DUE season. The Holy Spirit has been rather persistent with this message of Seed, Time, and Harvest, so I’d suggest that we listen very carefully as we look at the seasons through the eyes of a farmer. As I was preparing this episode, as always, the Holy Spirit helped me to put the season that I’m in into perspective and I hope that it will do the same for you... Remember Our Steps are Ordered! Un-Clutter Your Mind...

Un-Clutter Your Mind...

We’re already 30 days into a new year and I'm very concerned that we are already consumed by the mental chaos of busy and out of our divine rhythm. A stream of clutter is slowly turning our mental space into a chaotic mess.  The year has just begun, and it is much too soon to allow our mind to become cluttered with thoughts of discontent and defeat.    We are going to pause, take a deep breath, get out our journal and take some notes on what I’ve shared with you over the past few months.  In addition, please add a few of your own thoughts as we go.  According to Forbes magazine, journaling is one of the 10 best ways to Un-clutter the Mind.  Journaling is a great way to relax your mind by analyzing and organizing your thoughts, and manage stress more effectively.  BTW, if you’ve listened to my podcast, this will be a review, but you will still need to take notes.    Remember, Our Steps are Ordered...  As always, I pray that you enjoy this week’s episode, and something is said to inspire and encourage you. Seed, Time, and Harvest - Part II

Seed, Time, and Harvest - Part II

Last week, we started our discussion on Seed, Time, and Harvest. In Genesis 8:22a, it says, As long as the earth remains, there will be planting and harvest…and the Holy Spirit showed us how the process of farming can be applied to our lives today.  This week, we will briefly review the process of sowing the seed and reaping the harvest.  The Lord provides a bountiful harvest, the reward for our labor, if we don't give up... Seed, Time, and Harvest - Part I

Seed, Time, and Harvest - Part I

So, as I was lying in bed, early Saturday morning, anxiously awaiting to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit, when I heard in my spirit, SEED, TIME, AND HARVEST, thus my topic for this week. Farming analogies are used throughout the Bible, so I started my search, which began at Genesis… As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease. – Genesis 8:22 For this episode to make sense, we must put ourselves into the place of a farmer, and remember that farming is very hard work, extremely labor intensive. As we are pushed into our purpose, there are some scriptures related to farming that I'd like to share with you.  This week, we will look at Seed & Time, and next week, we are going to talk more about Harvest.    So, Stay Tuned! We are Being PUSHED!

We are Being PUSHED!

Although, we are only eight days into the new year, it has been very interesting what the Holy Spirit has been saying to me and maybe to you also. I believe that in 2023, we are going to be PUSHED into our Purpose, like never before.  The Lord is going to PUSH us this year, because He is truly tried of waiting for us to do what He has already told us to do.  We are being PUSHED out of our comfort zone and beyond what we may consider our inadequacies and our limitations. This year, with the help of the Holy Spirit, we are going to need a "supernatural strategy" and I'd like to share with you a few components of it.  Remember, Our Steps are Ordered... Living Our Best Life!

It’s a New Year and although our lives usually do not change drastically from Dec. 31st to Jan. 1st, it’s another year of God’s Favor, for us to experience life like never before.  Often, I must remind myself that my task is simply to plant the seed, therefore, my message to you will not change in 2023. We must always take a quiet moment to listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying, we must have water to grow.  He will tell us and show us how to Live Our Best Live Ever! Strengthening for the Journey

Strengthening for the Journey

We are moving rapidly into 2023, another year of God’s Favor, but we must be careful not to pray away the mountains that the Lord may send our way. We must understand that the Lord is always strengthening us for this journey.  We can’t afford to allow our mind, heart, or soul to become cluttered with thoughts of discontent and defeat.  Although it may get tough, the Lord is always on our side, especially when adversity comes.  It is the courage to continue that counts, especially when the journey gets tough and the mountains are high.   Remember, Our Steps are Ordered... "Don't Miss Your Miracle!"

"Don't Miss Your Miracle!"

This may be somewhat of a weird introduction to this week’s episode, but I almost missed my miracle, which is why I’m saying to you, “Don’t Miss Your Miracle!”... Well, my story began about 4 years ago, when my husband broke his ankle after he slipped on the ice.  Being the man that he is, not knowing that it was broke, decided to cinch up his boots real tight and walk on it for TEN whole days.  As I casually passed by him and saw that his ankle was rather swollen, we realized that there may be a problem.  There are a few more interesting details to this story, but you will just have to listen to the entire episode.  Ultimately, everyone’s situation may be different, and this may not apply to you, but for some of us, The Holy Spirit wants us to know that we may be looking at our Miracle and just NOT realize it... My prayer is that your prayers are answered, and your miracles happen, but it just may not look the way you thought it would. The Waiting is Worth It!

The Waiting is Worth It!

There’s absolutely no benefit in rushing the Lord’s process. No matter the length of time that we must wait, He is teaching us to be patient while He continues to perfect us, grow us, and mature us. So, as we pursue our purpose, success, and greatness, we realize that it all will happen in His Divine Timing.  It doesn’t matter what you are waiting for, the Lord needs to know that you can handle it, that means spouse, new career, new house, new business, money, fame, influence, etc., but the Waiting is Worth It!  So, it becomes extremely important that we always take a quiet moment to listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying...  As always, I pray that you enjoy this week’s episode, and something is said to inspire and encourage you. Our Journey Continues...

Our Journey Continues...

As we move into 2023, I have so many thoughts swirling around in my mind about what the Lord has in store for us in the coming year.  As our journey continues, we all know that life will continue to happen, but the midst of it all the Lord has a plan. With our lives changing so rapidly, we must resist the desire to simply bury our gift, out of fear and just move on. We know that is not just a very bad idea, but for us, it is not an option.  So, what’s ahead for you in the coming year? If you are not quite sure, then it is critical to always take a quiet moment to listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying... Change is Inevitable

Change is Inevitable

We don’t always have to make change happen, in life, in our careers or in our businesses, we simply must allow it to happen and not resist it!  Although we would rather not discuss this reality, but many times, failure is also inevitable, however, we must know how to manage what we cannot avoid.  So, let’s face change head on! There will never be the perfect time to take the next step, but if we don’t sow, we will not reap. Therefore it is critical to always take a quiet moment to listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying... Our Steps are Ordered! NOT TODAY!!!

NOT TODAY!!!

There are times when we must tell the enemy NOT TODAY!  We must let him know that we will not entertain one taunt, threat, distraction, discouragement, or setback.  We must also remember that although spiritual warfare is real, our enemy is not people. So, I would suggest that we pray for all of those that may cross our path this week.  Take a moment to be still, be slow to speak and listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying… As always, I pray that you enjoy this week’s episode, and something is said to inspire and encourage you. Stay Connected

Stay Connected

God Forbid! But have you ever lost your phone? In that moment, did it feel like maybe the world had stopped?  Well, as we consider just how devasting the thought of losing our phone would be, what would happen if we found ourselves disconnected from the Holy Spirit?  I would venture to guess that we almost always know where our phones are, so that we can stay connected to the outside world. So how does this apply to staying connected in our world within?  So, let's take a moment to Listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying... Loyal to a Fault - Part II

Now before I tell you the rest of my story from last week, I want to remind of the question at hand, Are you Loyal to a Fault? Loyal to a friendship or a relationship, even a family member, who may have become a distraction or a disruption in your life; or maybe we are loyal to a job, a position, even a church, that we have lost sight of our purpose and even ignored our calling.   Amid the agony of my decision regarding returning to my church, I realized that this was not just about COVID concerns. My church and I have changed a lot over the past 3 years. However, the Holy Spirit said, “Call your Pastor, you cannot just walk away without a conversation."  So please take a listen to hear the rest of the story... Loyal to a Fault...

Loyal to a Fault...

When you have a moment, please take a look at this week's video on YouTube... Early one Sunday morning, the Holy Spirit asked me this question, “Have you become loyal to a fault and in essence, lost sight of where I need you to go”.  But, as I believe that some of us have done from time to time, I pushed past it and started to go about my day.  As my day went on, I realized that the Holy Spirit was setting me up.  At some point, I was going to have to answer this question.  So, have you have found yourself being “loyal to a fault”, the Lord will allow time for us to let “it” go or He may just have to take “it” away, so that we can move into the place that He has promised us… Stay tuned, there’s more to this story! Missed Moments

Missed Moments

Do you have those close friends or relatives that you don’t talk to often, but you are very close? You may see them on Facebook from time to time, but as life happens, years may go by without actually talking to each other. But, in a moment, the Holy Spirit will say just call them. Now this is the challenge, do we take the moment to call or do we put it off or maybe you just text to say Hi.  We must admit that the pandemic has changed a lot of things, but it should have made us even more aware that we need to say in better contact with each other than ever before. We have technology that allows us to see each other’s faces even when we are thousands of miles apart.  But, unfortunately, technology can be a two-edged sword, because I believe that we have lost the art of communication, to text is faster and easier. But now, we don’t have the opportunity to read the body language, or sense how people are feeling by just their tone of voice.   Life is too precious, we just can't afford to miss a moment, especially those quiet moments when we need to listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying… As always, I pray that you enjoythis week’s episode, and something is said to inspire and encourage you. "Stop Sweating the Small Stuff!!" : A Personal Reflection...

Last month, I turned 66 and although I know that my steps have been ordered through all the good times and the bad, I finally have a confidence that I’m truly living on purpose.  My life still has its challenges, but I’ve learned to “stop sweating the small stuff", I turn the big stuff over to the Lord, and if I'm not sure what size it is, I give it to Him anyway. But, you really don’t have to wait until you’re my age, these days can be your best days... when you continue to take a quiet moment to listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying... Do Not Grow Weary in the Wilderness

Are you in a place of uncertainty? Are you growing weary in your efforts to keep moving? As we said last week, you may be in the wilderness.  Although the wilderness may feel like a place of stagnation, maybe even boring and non-productive, it’s a place of the Lord’s provision and protection until we are ready for where He needs us to go, to the place that He has promised us.  Our journey may take longer than we had hoped, but we cannot grow weary in the wilderness and more importantly, don't forget to take a quiet moment to listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying along the way... As always, I pray that you enjoy this week’s episode, and something is said to inspire and encourage you. If so, we would love to hear your thoughts and comments, so please hit the message button. But if for some reason, this episode does not resonate with you, please share with someone who you think might need it. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.  Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:26-27 KJV

The Wilderness is a Part of the Journey

The Wilderness is a Part of the Journey

If we were to look back over the last 12 months, what would we see? Now, if we could look ahead 12 months and what would we see? Are we looking at all the pieces of the puzzle, are we connecting the dots? Are we seeing the Order of our steps? Or have you found that we are in the wilderness?  Although, the Lord may lead us into the wilderness and provide for us while we are there, He doesn't mean for us to get too comfortable with it and settle in the wilderness, however, it is a part of the journey! So make sure that you always take a quiet moment to listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying... As always, I pray that you enjoy this week’s episode, and something is said to inspire and encourage you. If so, we would love to hear your thoughts and comments, so please hit the message button. The Lord is Not done with us Yet!

The Lord is Not done with us Yet!

This episode is short and sweet...For some reason, the Holy Spirit wants me to stay on this topic of the “Clay in the Potter’s Hands” a little while longer.  So I must ask you once again, where are you in God’s process? Are you still a ball of clay or have you decided to allow the Lord to continue to mold and shape you into what you were created to be?  Ultimately, it doesn't matter where we are in the the process, because the Lord is Not done with us Yet!  Therefore, it is crucial that we always take a quiet moment to listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying… As always, I pray that you enjoy this week’s episode, and something is said to inspire and encourage you. If so, we would love to hear your thoughts and comments, so please hit the message button. But if for some reason, this episode does not resonate with you, please share with someone who you think might need it. It may Get a Little Hot...

It may Get a Little Hot...

Last week, I suggested that we all take a closer look at our own respective journey through life.  As the Lord molds our wet clay on the Potter’s wheel, the process may begin smooth and gentle, but at some point, it may get a little Hot…  He must make sure that the clay solidifies and begins to harden, so He must apply some heat.  We must remember that as our wet clay begins to harden, the Lord will bless us with a unique design of gifts, talents, wealth, knowledge and so much more to serve a very specific purpose that will benefit others and glorify Him. As always, I pray that you enjoy this week’s episode, and something is said to inspire and encourage you. If so, we would love to hear your thoughts and comments, so please hit the message button. But if for some reason, this episode does not resonate with you, please share with someone who you think just might need it. God is Shouting...

God is Shouting...

I believe that at times, the Lord may become somewhat frustrated with us and because when He whispers, we don’t really listen, so He has had to Shout! There’s a noise in your spirit that is so very loud that you can’t ignore it.  I believe that this may apply to some of you, and you know who you are…  There’s a major shift happening in our lives and the Lord has had to result to shouting at us, because time is of the essence. There was so much in last week’s episode, “Preparing for the Journey”.  The Lord is constantly leading us towards our destiny and many times, we don't even know it. He is ordering our steps and guiding our decisions, as we move from one place to another in this life.  However, the question begs...  Are we ready to take a quiet moment to listen to the Holy Spirit, Or will He have to continue to Shout. The choice is ours.   As always, I pray that you enjoy this week’s episode, and something is said to inspire and encourage you. If so, we would love to hear your thoughts and comments, so please hit the message button. But if for some reason, this episode does not resonate with you, please share with someone who you think might need it.  We hope that you will join us next week as we look at "Clay on the Potter's Wheel". Preparing for the Journey

Preparing for the Journey

Imagine with me, for a moment, that someone very close to you; spouse, sister, best friend, someone who knows you, almost better than you know yourself, told you that they were taking you on a trip, but they are not going to tell you where you are going.  They are just going to give you a few details, so that you can prepare for the trip.   Isn’t the Lord the same way and He knows us better than you know ourselves?  So, how are we preparing for where the Lord is taking us?  He doesn’t have to tell us where we are going, we just have to get ready and put things in suitable order for the journey, with the information that we have.  So, we really must be listening intently to what the Holy Spirit is saying all along the way…. As always, I pray that you enjoy this week’s episode, and something is said to inspire and encourage you. If so, we would love to hear your thoughts and comments, so please hit the message button. But if for some reason, this episode does not resonate with you, please share with someone who you think might need it. Once We are in His Overflow, We will be Stretched...

Once We are in His Overflow, We will be Stretched...

Last week, we talked about living in the overflow, meaning to be saturated with God's presence to the point we begin to overflow His Glory. Since we cannot contain His Glory, the overflow becomes the catalyst to our calling.  Logically, this sounds reasonable, however, spiritually, we will be stretched beyond our own ability.  We cannot afford to be so preoccupied with just living life that we forget why we were created!  We must be ready when the door opens, because it’s the small opportunities, at just the right time, that may count the most, which is why we must always be listening to what the Holy Spirit is saying… As always, I pray that you enjoy this week’s episode, and something has been said to inspire and encourage you. Living in the Overflow

Living in the Overflow

Over the past several weeks, I had begun to see and hear the word “overflow”in a lot of different places, for example, in sermons, bible plans, even on social media.  So, let’s look at what it means to “live in the overflow”... As always, I pray that you enjoy this week’s episode, and something is said to inspire and encourage you. If so, we would love to hear your thoughts and comments, so please hit the message button. He may Never tell us Why...

He may Never tell us Why...

Although we often ask God, Why?… do we really want to hear His answer? When we think about it honestly, God doesn’t actually owe us an explanation for what He does or how He does it. But this is by no means in a callous, uncaring sort of way, but I believe that the Lord knows that there is nothing that He can say that would satisfy us, an answer that we could actually embrace and understand.  So when life gets hard, it is so very important for us to always take a quiet moment to listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying... As always, I pray that you enjoy this week’s episode, and something is said to inspire and encourage you. If so, we would love to hear your thoughts and comments, so please hit the message button. Did you Forget how to Swim?

Did you Forget how to Swim?

This is a very interesting question coming from someone who doesn’t even know how to swim. But, may I say that I will never look at the story of Peter walking on water ever the same. But hold on, you may think you know where I’m going, but stay with me, because you may not know where I’m going to end up... There Was just No more Room...

There Was just No more Room...

Today’s message is in my confession… so please allow me to explain. It's early Sunday morning and I'm lying-in bed and there's already a thought in my head that's on instant replay and I'm struggling to really know what my Holy Ghost download would be for this week.  I was so overwhelmed with the cares of life that it felt like I had run out of room in my mind for God, which means that I had to take a quiet moment to listen to what the Holy Spirit was saying... and so do you! As always, I pray that you enjoy this week’s episode, and something is said to inspire and encourage you. If so, we would love to hear your thoughts and comments, so please hit the message button. It's Just Not Gonna Make Sense!

It's Just Not Gonna Make Sense!

I believe that our biggest opportunity in life today is that we keep trying make it all make sense! I’m sorry that I have to be the one to tell you that it's not gonna make sense no matter how hard we try.  We are God's AMAZING creation, and we must stop trying to figure out the Creator!   Unfortunately, in the midst of the chaos of this world, we are being inundated with all kinds of the negative information and numerous distractions and if we are honest, we have to admit that it becomes more and more difficult not to ask God why, so it becomes more and more important for us to "take a quiet moment to listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying"... As always, I pray that you’ve enjoyed this week’s episode, and something has been said to inspire and encourage you. So, we would love to hear your thoughts and comments, so please hit the message button. Do You have a Destination in Mind?

Do You have a Destination in Mind?

Last week, I left you with the question, “how would we define our success?” I’d like to suggest that this question may be a tad premature. I believe a better question would be, as you move forward, “Do you have a destination in mind”?  We know that although the Holy Spirit will lead us and direct us towards our ultimate goal, He will not give us all the details.  May I suggest that once we see our destination and we are determined to get our destination, we may face obstacles, which is why it is so important to Always take a quiet moment to listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying... As always, I pray that you enjoy this week’s episode, and something is said to inspire and encourage you. So, we would love to hear your thoughts and comments, so please hit the message button. We Must do It His Way

We Must do It His Way

Today, I want to speak to all of you who may be trying to emulate the way others have done things in the past and have expected the same results.  For many of us are now discovering that to fulfill the assignment that the Lord has given us and achieve His desired results, “We must do it His Way”! So, its extremely important that we take a quiet moment to listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying... You were Never meant to Fit In

You were Never meant to Fit In

The topic for this week's podcast was all in my corn flakes… and what’s fascinating is that I didn’t realize how much so until Friday. The Holy Spirit continues to Blow my Mind on how He works, and in most cases, we don’t even realize that He’s working on our behalf, especially as we move into new unchartered territory. Earlier in the week, I was listening to a message entitled “This Doesn’t Fit”, by Dr. Dharius Daniels.  At the end of his message, he talked about the fact that he had never fit in, even when he was called into ministry. He said that even as we are walking in our calling, we are not healed from that feeling of being different.  I too never quite felt that I fit in anywhere. I often wondered if something was wrong with me. I always felt weird. But I was never supposed to fit in and neither are you! As always, I pray that you enjoy this week’s episode, and something is said to inspire and encourage you. You may have to listen to this one a few times for it to make any sense at all.  So, we would love to hear your thoughts and comments, so please hit the message button. But if for some reason, this episode does not resonate with you, please share with someone who you think might need it. And remember to always take a quiet moment to listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying.... Take a Praise Break!

Take a Praise Break!

I want you to start this week with a “Praise Break”!  Forget about your problems, forget about your cares; forget about the situation and circumstances at hand… and Remember God is Good, All the time and All the time God is Good!   As you go about your day this week, "Take a Praise Break". Find a Psalm to read or simply a song to sing, even if you are like me and you can't carry a tune... it really doesn't matter.  Let everything that have breath praise the LORD. Praise the Lord! And remember to take a moment to listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying... As always, I pray that you’ve enjoyed this week’s episode, and something has been said to inspire and encourage you. Coming Out of a Dry Place

Coming Out of a Dry Place

So, let’s take up where we left off last week, are you in a dry place as Elijah was, sitting by the Kerith Brook watching the water dry up? But remember, this is a place where the Lord has sent you, a place that felt really good, at first, but then the Lord may just send a disturbance in our lives to bring us out of hiding for those that are waiting on the other side.  It's been dry, long enough. It's time for us to come out of hiding, refined and refreshed for what’s ahead... It's time for us to come out of our dry place!  So make sure that you take a quiet moment to listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying... As always, I pray that you’ve enjoyed this week’s episode, and something has been said to inspire and encourage you. Listening through the Silence

Listening through the Silence

In this day and time, do we truly know how to listen? Listening takes time and effort. It may be just me, but do you occasionally simply zone out during a conversation, until it’s your turn to talk. The process of listening is especially difficult, when it’s silent. Wait! …that sounds like an oxymoron. I'd share with you a little story about the prophet, Elijah and I pray that this may give you a little more context to what I mean, when I say listening through the silence.  Sometimes, to establish something new in our life, God must disturb us, disrupt our peaceful place with plenty of water and set us in a place that is dry. Then, at some point, we will have to move just like Elijah.  Are we listening in the silence waiting for our next set of instructions from the Lord or are we simply waiting for our next turn to talk? As always, I pray that you’ve enjoy this week’s episode, and something has been said to inspire and encourage you. If so, we would love to hear your thoughts and comments, so please hit the message button. But if for some reason, this episode does not resonate with you, please share with someone who you think might need it. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:26-27 KJ

My Breakthrough!

My Breakthrough!

Let me begin by asking what is a “breakthrough”? I looked for a definition that would be befitting for what I’m about to share and I found this: A breakthrough is something that changes the course of your life going forward and ensures that things will never be the same for you again. Most of what a breakthrough requires is for us to have the courage and the bravery to stop settling for second best. For the past few years, especially with the onset of the pandemic, I've continued to try to understand where the Lord is taking my ministry.  It was during a actual life coaching session that I received my breakthrough.  We’ve never sure of the exact path that the Lord has laid before us, but His message to me has been very consistent, and that is for all of us to pause and listen.   However, it was during this coaching session that the Holy Spirit added a whole new dimension to my message to us. If you're looking for a Certified Professional Christian Life Coach, Contact Liz Mason, call 240-437-7218 or check out her website. It has been confirmed once again that we must take a quiet moment to listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying... As always, I pray that you enjoy this week’s episode, and something has been said to inspire and encourage you. If so, we would love to hear your thoughts & comments, so please hit the message button. But, if for some reason, this episode does not resonate with you, please share with someone who you think might need it. Light will Always find its Way into Darkness

Light will Always find its Way into Darkness

We are in a season of grief and loss, like we've never seen before.  For some of us, our lives may seem to be in total darkness right now.  For others, we may encounter those moments of darkness when our situation may seem hopeless.  But remember, into the smallest crevices of our lives, the Light of His Glory will shine through.  The Lord is the only one that can strengthen us, that can hold us up, even in the darkest places.  It is also in these times that the Holy Spirit will give us the smallest nudge, what may seem like a trivial direction or instruction. But we are living in a time where we cannot afford to ignore what may seem trivial.  As I’ve said, and will continue to say, we must pause and listen to what the Holy Spirit saying… As always, I pray that you’ve enjoyed this week’s episode, and something has been said to inspire and encourage you. "What's really Standing in your Way?

"What's really Standing in your Way?

I believe that the Lord is taking us somewhere and it’s time that we take a long, hard look at where we are and or where we should be going and if we are not going anyway, then we must ask the question, "What's really Standing your Way? I am reminded of a message I did a few years ago entitled “Connect the Dots”. Remember the Connect the Dots books. There were dots all over the page, but in the center of the page, the dots had numbers on them. When you connected the dots by the number, a picture appeared.  In the midst of everything else that is going on in our lives, God is connecting the dots and it’s time for us to live on Purpose! So, again, I ask the question, "What's really Standing your Way? As always, I pray that you’ve enjoyed this week’s episode, and something has been said to inspire and encourage you. Are you Stuck in the Here and Now?

Are you Stuck in the Here and Now?

A LOT have happened and continues to happen every day. OMG! Every day in this world today is an adventure and that’s putting it mildly. You may be feeling that you’re finally getting back some semblance of Order in your life, and you are taking it one day at a time. We all must admit that in any given moment we revert to survival mode just to get by. But I have something to tell you… God’s assignment for you has not changed.  God’s got a whole LOT more for us to do…The only thing standing in your way is YOU!! Now, like never before, it’s imperative that you take a quiet moment to listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying… As always, I pray that you’ve enjoyed this week’s episode, and something has been said to inspire and encourage you. Now that You are Up, then Pull up Another...

Now that You are Up, then Pull up Another...

During the month of April, I spent a lot of time talking about falling, but now we are up and running or walking really fast. Now, while many of us are tired of talking and or even hearing about the last two years and believe me I understand. The Lord has allowed us to live during a phenomenon that we had never experienced before. Many of us have fallen and so many others have fallen around us, so if we have gotten up than we must pull up another.  Where you are or what you have gone through may not be just for you...  There is someone that you have been uniquely designed to reach. What is the Holy Spirit saying to you?  Are you listening? As always, I pray that you’ve enjoyed this week’s episode, and something has been said to inspire and encourage you. If so, we would love to hear your thoughts and comments, so please hit the message button. But if for some reason, this episode does not resonate with you, please share with someone who you think just might need it. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.  Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Run, Don't Walk!

Run, Don't Walk!

You’re up now and you have a lot of ground to cover. Shout with the voice of victory! … and Run, Don’t walk!  It’s time to run to Jesus even while the Devil is still talking. We must trust the Lord beyond our knowing exactly what lies ahead. So we must Run, and not just walk!  We must believe even though we haven’t seen the whole picture.  We must take a quiet moment to listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying... There's also a Special Word for the Entrepreneurs and Business Owners that may be listening, so you don't want to miss it! Ok, Now Get Up...

Ok, Now Get Up...

Last week, I allowed you to just lay there for a little while longer, to get your head together, to gather your thoughts. You really needed the rest, you were so very tired, but you’ve laid there long enough, so it’s time to get up... If you’ve truly been listening to what the Holy Spirit has been saying, you have received His guidance and direction, so it's time to get up and start moving forward. As always, I pray that you’ve enjoyed this week’s episode, and something has been said to inspire and encourage you. "What If You Fall..."

"What If You Fall..."

Last Monday, I was sitting on my bed after sending out the podcast for the week and my eyes were drawn to the cover of my journal which says, “God is with her, she will not fall.” Psalm 46:5 … Now I found that quite interesting, in light of last week’s episode, “Falling on Our Faith”. So, I was a little confused. But think about it, falling on your face usually denotes failure, but falling on your faith, isn’t really falling at all. But, of course, I had to go the Bible for further clarification and this is what I found, it's not "If you fall... it's when you fall".  So have your fallen and now you are not sure whether you even want to give up at all? Then it's time for you take a quiet moment to listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying... As always, I pray that you’ve enjoyed this week’s episode, and something has been said to inspire and encourage you. Falling Flat on Our Faith!

Falling Flat on Our Faith!

Last week, we talked about “A New Beginning”! So Now What? Oftentimes, when we start something brand new, or when we’ve made a huge decision or encountered a major change is our lives; in the back of our minds, we wonder if we’ve made a BIG mistake, and that we might just “fall flat on our faces”. Today, as we begin our lives afresh, I’d like to suggest that we try to “Fall Flat on Our Faith”!  I am praying that before you go back to busy, stressed, and anxious, if you haven’t already, that you stop and give some thought to your next steps.  Take a quiet moment to listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying… We hope that you enjoy this week’s episode, and something is said to inspire and encourage you. This is a New Beginning… Not a Do-Over!

I would venture to say that most of you will not be able to truly enjoy this week’s podcast, because you are just too busy. The only time you can even take 5 minutes to listen, is while you are driving to work, working, or driving home and for those of you that are not commuting, I’m not sure when you’d have time.  But I'd like to challenge you to stop what you are doing and open your eyes to your new beginning… But this is not “a do-over”. The last two years have taught us that we can live life differently. We can’t turn back the hands of time and start our lives over again, but we can start afresh.   It’s time to move forward and be sure to listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying… I hope that you enjoy this week's episode. We don't Always get it Right, but...

We don't Always get it Right, but...

Full disclosure, I’m kind of a perfectionist. Over the years, God has had to teach me what “perfect”really means and I’m still learning. It means that I can pursue excellency, but I should not try to be excellent.  That's His Job! So, I guess you are wondering where I’m going with this… We don’t always get it right, but we are not meant to be perfect... I hope that you enjoy this week's episode. When the Door Opens

When the Door Opens

First, allow me to apologize that my introduction is somewhat faint... Last week, we talked briefly about knocking on doors. So now, I’m somewhat curious as to what doors are we waiting to open? Have you been knocking a long time and the doors just won’t open? So, the ultimate question is will we be ready “when the door opens”? Let’s continue from where we were last week, we were knocking and I believe that we should discuss a few things that we should consider while we wait... I hope that you’ve enjoyed this week's episode and something was said to encourage and inspire you. As we ponder this week's questions and I would love for you to message me some of your answers.  We also welcome your thoughts and comments so please hit the message button.  Please Share and FOLLOW us here and don't forget to visit our blog from time to time at Holy Ghost Downloads on Wordpress. Are you Knocking on the Door?

Are you Knocking on the Door?

We often speak about the Lord opening doors. Our doors of opportunity to thrive and prosper in this life. But my question is: Are you knocking on the door?... or are you just waiting for the door to open? Are you listening for your next assignment or are you avoiding the one that you’ve already been given?  The future that we hope for, should be one that has fulfilled the purpose that God has created for us to accomplish. So, are we trying to avoid the door or are we knocking on the door?  Let's take a few moments to ponder those questions and consider our answers...  As we take a quiet moment to listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying.... There's More to Your Story

There's More to Your Story

This week we need to spend a little more time in Jeremiah 29, because remember, God exiled the good and the bad. So, when you take a moment to look at the chaos of this life and it feels like God has sent you into Babylon, you have to know that “There’s More to Your Story”.  I pray that after this episode, you will see Jeremiah 29:11 with a new spiritual perspective. May the eyes of our understanding continue to be enlightened.  The Holy Spirit is always talking, which is why we just need to find those quiet moments to listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying… I hope that you enjoy this week's episode. "Stick to Your Story"

"Stick to Your Story"

We all have a story, with the good and the not-so-good; the ups and downs; the detours that take us off course and the roadblocks that stop us in our tracks.  Although, we would rather not acknowledge that God allows the unexpected tragedies, He continues to give us miraculous blessings. So, as we began to talk about last week, when God said, “I know the thoughts that I think towards you” in Jeremiah 29:11, He already knew our story. Yes, He’d already read the book, cover to cover.  God Knows our story and now, we have to stick to it! This week, we are going to dig a little deeper into Jeremiah's story.  You don't want to miss it! NEXT WEEK... We will talk about His “Expected End”! There’s a LOT more to this story… In the meantime, always take a quiet moment to listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying... I hope that you enjoy this week's episode. God Has a Plan

I don’t about you, but I have soooo many questions right now!  I believe that we all are looking for answers… We ask God for an explanation and He says "Just Trust Me".  Knowing all the challenges that we face, He continues to Bless us, because God Has a Plan!  One of my favorites, if not my very favorite scripture is Jeremiah 29:11 and it may be yours too.  But early in 2020, the Holy Spirit gave me a whole new revelation regarding the content in which that scripture was written.  So, over the next few weeks, I would love to share more of the story with you and get your thoughts and comments. In the meantime, always take a quiet moment to listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying.... Don't Assume!

After my encounter with stress and anxiety, of the worst kind, that I experienced the week before last, I feel like I can breathe again! As I had mentioned, the issue was on instant replay in my mind for the entire week. Ultimately, I realized that I had made an assumption, justified my assumption and drew my own conclusion. Some of you may be able to relate... or maybe not.  There are a few lessons that I've learned, I'd like to share with you. If Only for One...

If Only for One...

It was early Friday morning and I hadn’t received my Holy Ghost Download for this week. I have to admit that I was a tad discouraged and in the midst of convincing myself that it was time to stop doing the podcast, because only 2 or 3 would isten to it anyway… and the Holy Spirit said, “if only for one”! In my moment of pride, I found myself being driven by today’s culture, which measures success by the numbers, especially in the world of social media. Unfortunately, the Holy Spirit had to remind me that the Lord determines our success.  So, I guess that I will have to continue to take a quiet moment to listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying, “if only for one”! Yes, this is another movie reference from Encanto. Someone that you held close and just can't understand why they would leave. Is there a situation or circumstance in your life that God has allowed and again, it just makes no sense?  It may be a "thorn in your flesh"!   For more info, please listen ... The Walls Must Come Down

I would venture to say that over the years, we all have built up defense walls to protect ourselves; our feelings, our emotions, our hearts. It has been our only means of survival. We tell ourselves that it really doesn't matter, we are ok, but in actuality, we are not ok. The Walls Must Come Down! Hope for Today... and Tomorrow

The biblical definition of “hope” is to trust in, wait for, look for or to expect something beneficial in the future. As I continued to read about “hope”, I found something very interesting. It said, “God promises that those who wait on Him will not be disappointed”  No matter the situation or circumstance, the Lord has given us “Hope for Today… and Tomorrow”!  So why are we worried? Experiencing Doubt... but Choosing Joy!

Experiencing Doubt... but Choosing Joy!

Last week we talked about experiencing Doubt and I felt that it warranted a little more discussion. Doubt is such a natural response to a situation that we are uncertain of the outcome.  But doubt can only be a temporary state of mind and our task is not to allow it to last too long.  On the other hand, Joy is a choice! It's up to us to decide that the "Joy of the Lord is our Strength". This is not about feeling happy, it's choosing to be content, not to doubt and have faith that the Lord is faithful.  So let's dig a little deeper into the scripture and see what it says.... I go into that "what if" headspace ... How about you?  Let's talk alittle about the constant battle between our Faith and our Feelings! I hope that you enjoy this week's episode.

"Spiritual Vitality"

Last week, we talked about Spiritual Fatigue and this week we are going to look at Spiritual Vitality.  I have found that Spiritual Vitality starts with a real, long, DEEP breath. This is where spiritual rejuvenation and restoration begins. These days, we have a new daily routine … but are we breathing? Or have we simply pushed pass our feelings and our fatigue?   I hope that you enjoy this week's episode. We welcome your thoughts and comments so please hit the message button. "Spiritual Fatigue"

"Spiritual Fatigue"

I pray that you were with us last week, when we talked about "Waiting is Hard"! Although, this week I thought that we would look at Jeremiah 29:11, one of my favorite scriptures, the Holy Spirit had other ideas. While listening to a message last week, I discovered that one of the main reasons why "Waiting is so Hard"... is "Spiritual Fatigue"!  We become physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually tired. Are you not just tired of waiting or are you just Tired?!  I hope that you enjoy this week's episode. We welcome your thoughts and comments so please hit the message button. I'm just not sure what we're going to talk about next week, we will just have to wait to hear what the Holy Spirit is saying...  But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. John 14:26 KJV

Waiting is Hard!

Waiting is Hard!

Have you ever considered asking the Lord for patience? If so, I'd strongly suggest that you don't... until you think it all the way through. No, I'm serious! In order to have patience, you not only have to learn how to wait, but you have to learn to wait in anticipation and expectation, not frustration.  Let's embrace the opportunity while waiting, especially during difficult times, to make room for development and personal growth. We will Walk across the Red Sea on Dry Land

We will Walk across the Red Sea on Dry Land

We welcome you back to Holy Ghost Downloads!  We have never had to endure tougher times than these that we are experiencing right now.  So, I thought that I would share what the Holy Spirit has been saying to me over the past year and a half to get me through.  The first Holy Ghost Download was in July of last year, when I felt that the Lord had just put too much on us... a worldwide pandemic, racial injustice, grief and losses like we'd never seen before.  But then He reminded me of the miracle of Moses and the children of Israel crossing the Red Sea.  I pray that this encourages you as much as it encouraged me.... Please leave us a message and let us know what you think.  We welcome your thoughts and comments.  Don't forget to visit our blog from time to time at Holy Ghost Downloads on Wordpress.
