Season 3 has been one hell of a ride with special guests like Carol Kaye, Tommy Putnam, Clare Cunningham, and industry pro's like Nate and Donna of "Syncology". In our final episode of Season 3, I thought it would be important to bring in members of the team, and ecosystem to discuss some of the challenges that women face in the industry. It is changing, some for the better, and some not so much. If anything can be learned here, it's that trusting your gut, and building the right ecosystem around you is crucial for making it in today's music industry.

Monster Boy Lives is a husband/wife duo from Little Rock, Arkansas with an eclectic multi-genre sound. From one track to the next, the elements used seem as though they wouldn't fit, but once you let their music put you in a trance, everything makes sense. Chris and Veronica discuss how they came to be as a couple, and how their music has evolved over their seventeen years of marriage.

Bradley Schultz is the leader and front man of Columbus, Ohio Alternative Rock band, The Corrupted Hearts. Life for Bradley has taken many different paths, which ultimately led to him putting music down for awhile so that he could build a family with his wife Jenie, and a successful plumbing business that allowed him to retire at the young age of 40. Now, he's back in music full time, and is enjoying the creative process of songwriting once more. This episode is quite different from the others, as Bradley graciously performed for us live. He's also given us a sneak peak to their new release that is coming up soon too!

Julian Fulco Perron is a Colorado based art-pop artist. In this episode we discuss his new single "All The Lights", his musical influences, and his recording process. His dedication to finding his vintage sounds through experimenting with analog recording techniques is highly important to his writing style, and sound.

Tommy Putnam is the bassist for the indie-alt-rock band Moon Taxi. Tommy and Trevor (vocals/guitar) started playing music together in middle school, and when they went to college at Belmont University in Nashville, the rest of Moon Taxi was formed. Tommy shares his love of bassists Flea and Victor Wooten, and he also discusses his hidden talent that he showcases at the Moon Taxi after hours parties!

Originally from Orlando Florida, Paige Keiner moved to Nashville, TN in 2019 to pursue songwriting and her solo career. She came to Nashville already a seasoned pro with a Grammy nomination, and a few medals from the Global Music Awards on her resume. Her early 2000's throwback vibe is sure to get your inner teenage self riled up, and ready to take on the world.

Aaron Schilb's first performance in Nashville was at a showcase hosted be our founder, Erin McLendon! He is the CEO and founder of Nashville Tour Stop, a bi-monthly songwriter round that features artists from all walks of life. Aaron's goal was to create a community of songwriters that gather together to support each other's art, and to help those that are new to Nashville find a place to belong. Grab a pen and paper, you'll want to take notes because Aaron left us with some golden advice.

Anastasia Elliot is a symphonic pop/rock artist whose story is one of grit and determination. Her intrinsic need to create an art form that immerses the listener wholly into her world is what sets her apart. Sierra Cornell is the host of podcast "Songwriters Unblocked", and a full time songwriter in LA. After discovering that the "artist path" was not for her, she decided to focus all of her efforts on songwriting which allowed her creativity to flourish because she wasn't spending time on social media, which killed a lot of her joy.

What do Ireland, Great Britain, Sweden, and America all have in common? Clare Cunningham, and she's rocked faces in all of them. She now calls Nashville home, and recently had her first Grand Ole' Opry debut in March. Clare's story is wild and crazy with twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat, because her career went from zero to sixty with one YouTube video. In this episode she tells Caitie about building a professional touring band that gigged more than 365 shows a year, to going on tour with a Swedish rock band called "Thunder Mother", and how choosing her mental and physical health over music was the most important thing she ever did.

Australian sibling duo "FYRE BYRD" is comprised of twins Samtre, and Breeze. Now located in Nashville, TN, FYRE BYRD isn't intimidated by the dominant Country Music scene of "Music City". In fact, they're here to tell you that Nashville has so much more to offer than what its Country Music reputation leads you to believe. Brinn Black is a singer/songwriter based in Nashville, TN whose story is full of heartbreak, perseverance, and growth. After losing her fiancee, and father, she also lost her producer/partner in music, Nolan. Brinn and Caitie dive SUPER deep in this episode as they talk about her song "Daddy's Medicine" which tells the story of her father's struggle with addiction, and how she used her creative process as therapy. In this second installation with "Syncology", founders Nate Cornell and Dona De Sopo dive deeper into their process for attacking briefs, why female forward songs are syncing higher than anything else, and why co-writing is and should be incredibly important to the songwriting process.

Teagan Stewart is an Albuquerque, NM native whose love of country music runs deep. In this episode, she discusses the back story to her song “Country Deal Breaker” (a cheeky tune full of nostalgic nods to 90’s country music) dedicated to an ex that hated the very thing Teagan loves most in the world… country music! YIKES, DUDE… take the hint! (LOL) This country-loving girl had every right to give you the boot.

Teagan also gave me an education tonight with terms like “Y’all-ternative”, and “Punk-try”… yes… it took me on a deep dark dive. I feel old now.

Lord Goldie is a Nashville, TN native who has been a part of the Hip-Hop scene since she was in high school. She began writing music in her teenage years and hasn’t looked back since then. She’s graced stages in Atlanta, New York, and Texas, but Nashville is home and she’s committed to helping the Hip-Hop scene regain some of the ground it has lost, and then some. Earlier in the year, she release a Hip-Hop/Country fusion track called “Sunday Funday”, which she feels was a step forward in bridging the gap between the two genres. Ali Sperry's latest LP, "In Front Of Us", is a modern-day echo of the 1960s "Laurel Canyon" sound. Partially written in the throws of the 2020 shutdown, Ali and her husband/producer Jamie Dick developed an album based on the principle that there is hope even in the darkest of times and that it's okay to be pissed off at the world.

A frequent member of the MOTM showcases, Tracee is a mom, wife, musician/songwriter, and somehow finds time to be a real estate agent. We are in awe of you, Tracee!
