PJS3 "Season Finale" Roundtable Discussion with Caitie Thompson, Erin McLendon, Tracee Perrin, Katie Raideke
Season 3 has been one hell of a ride with special guests like Carol Kaye, Tommy Putnam, Clare Cunningham, and industry pro's like Nate and Donna of "Syncology". In our final episode of Season 3, I thought it would be important to bring in members of the team, and ecosystem to discuss some of the challenges that women face in the industry. It is changing, some for the better, and some not so much. If anything can be learned here, it's that trusting your gut, and building the right ecosystem around you is crucial for making it in today's music industry.

Bradley Schultz is the leader and front man of Columbus, Ohio Alternative Rock band, The Corrupted Hearts. Life for Bradley has taken many different paths, which ultimately led to him putting music down for awhile so that he could build a family with his wife Jenie, and a successful plumbing business that allowed him to retire at the young age of 40. Now, he's back in music full time, and is enjoying the creative process of songwriting once more. This episode is quite different from the others, as Bradley graciously performed for us live. He's also given us a sneak peak to their new release that is coming up soon too!

PJS3 Ep. 3 Featuring Country Artist Teagan Stewart
Teagan Stewart is an Albuquerque, NM native whose love of country music runs deep. In this episode, she discusses the back story to her song “Country Deal Breaker” (a cheeky tune full of nostalgic nods to 90’s country music) dedicated to an ex that hated the very thing Teagan loves most in the world… country music! YIKES, DUDE… take the hint! (LOL) This country-loving girl had every right to give you the boot.
Teagan also gave me an education tonight with terms like “Y’all-ternative”, and “Punk-try”… yes… it took me on a deep dark dive. I feel old now.

PJS3 Quick Hits #2 Tour Stories: "Advocating For What You Need In A Live Performance"
Noelle McFarlan learned a lesson for all of us during a performance mishap from her youth. Her hearing impairment has helped her learn that advocating for what she needs on stage is SO incredibly important so that she can put on the best show possible. This is no different for any of us. Often times I hear horror stories from friends who didn't ask the sound guy to help them out. It's THEIR JOB to help you have the best performance possible.

PJS3: Season Premiere with Legendary Bassist Carol Kaye Pt. 1
"Carol Kaye" was the "first call" bassist for recording sessions between the late 50s, to the early 70s in the recording studios of L.A. She was a part of an elite group of musicians known as "The Wrecking Crew", who were called into the studios by producers such as Quincy Jones and Phil Spector. These musicians were responsible for creating the basslines, guitar riffs, and drum beats that have shaped the lives of countless musicians, and music enthusiasts. Carol agreed to come on the show to talk about her life, what it was like in the studios, and some amazing anecdotes about working with Phil Spector, Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys, and Sonny and Cher.

In this installment of the "Tour Stories" series, Erin describes the time she was personally attacked by a bee, and Caitie talks about her drummer's discovery of the power of melon before and after a show. Yes, melon. Honeydew, canteloupe, or watermelon. Take your pick.

PJS2 Ep. 21 Artist Interview: Lord Goldie
Lord Goldie is a Nashville, TN native who has been a part of the Hip-Hop scene since she was in high school. She began writing music in her teenage years and hasn’t looked back since then. She’s graced stages in Atlanta, New York, and Texas, but Nashville is home and she’s committed to helping the Hip-Hop scene regain some of the ground it has lost, and then some. Earlier in the year, she release a Hip-Hop/Country fusion track called “Sunday Funday”, which she feels was a step forward in bridging the gap between the two genres. With the release of her new single “Andalé” featuring “EJ The Maker”, Lord Goldie is ready to see Nashville open its mind and its heart to the Hip-Hop world, and we couldn’t agree more.

Partially written in the throws of the 2020 shutdown, Ali and her husband/producer Jamie Dick developed an album based on the principle that there is hope even in the darkest of times and that it's okay to be pissed off at the world.

PJS2 Ep. 18 Industry Pro Interview: Chris Donohue
Nashville is full of unsung heroes. Typically, the musicians behind the artists you know and love are not names you'd recognize. However, they are a very important part of the magic you feel when at a show or listening to the records you love. Chris Donohue is one such musician, and the stories he shares with Erin and Caitie are mind-blowing. From Tom Jones to Robert Plant, Chris has played stages that some of us only dream of being on.

PJS2 Ep. 15 Artist Interview: Kyshona
From an early age, Kyshona learned that the best way for her to connect with people was to write music for them. Now that she's a professional singer/songwriter and licensed music therapist, she now shows others how to find music within themselves to connect with the world around them, and other humans.

PJS2 Ep. 14 Artist Interview: "Crystal Bowersox"
Season 9 American Idol runner-up Crystal Bowersox is the epitome of what it means to be a "fierce momma". After recently losing her sister and adopting her niece, Crystal is very open about what her life looks like as a mother first, and a musician second. Her new album "Hitchhiker" paints a picture of a happiness-seeker whose mission is to spread love and kindness, and to empower the voices of those of us who've fallen victim to abuse.
