Have you ever wanted something so bad, but you couldn't get it? Our story today is about a boy who wanted a new pair of shoes so bad that he was willing to wear them too small for his feet! What happens when he discovers a friend that needs shoes more than him?

Two not-so-friendly sharks are hungry, but both wants all the fish to themselves.  Can they be friends? 

Have you ever wondered how Scooter Mouse came to be at the McComb Library?  Well, we had two students come and visit us at the McComb Library and they will be reading, Scooter Mouse Finds the Library, by Alice Mitchell.  Listen as Aubreigh Haynes and Christopher Abron, 3rd graders from Otken Elementary, shares the story of how Scooter Mouse finds the library!

The hare was a fast little animal who did everything, well, fast!  He got so aggravated with turtle that he challenged him to a race.  I bet you can't guess who won!

Bear wanted to find a four-leafed clover.  His friends didn't want to help, all except Mouse.  He found a surprise for Bear!

Hettie and Horace meet a new friend.  What could their new friend be?  I'll give you a hint...it rhymes with cat!  Listen as Mrs. Laura reads the precious story of the hedgehugs.

Little Elliot and his friend lives in the city.  After all the hustle and bustle and noise, they decide to take a vacation to the country.  Listen in to hear what happens when hide and seek goes awry.

Mrs. Laura reads the story of a fox who's favorite tree is changing.  What happens when he discovers his tree is losing it's leaves?

Mrs. Laura and Miss Mattie brought some doughnuts to eat after story time, but while they were reading the story, someone stole their doughnuts!  It was the other librarians, and they left them nothing but doughnut holes!

Have you ever heard of Mother Goose?  There are so many nursery rhymes that are attributed to a fictional character named Mother Goose.  All this just means that it's made up rhymes by a made up goose!  Listen as Mrs. Laura reads several Mother Goose rhymes.

Was there really an Aesop?  We aren't sure, but we do have Aesop's Fables, stories told over many years.  At the end of each fable, there is a moral to the story.  Seems like I've heard these morals somewhere before.  Listen as Mrs. Laura reads several Aesop's Fables.

Miss Mattie tells the story about a dog named Biscuit.  While out walking with his owner, Biscuit finds a lost duck.  Biscuit's owner, Julie, puts the duck in the water and turns to leave, but Biscuit has a surprise for her! 

Miss Mattie sings some rainy day songs and Mrs. Laura reads about a duck who finds a new friend, but duck doesn’t like water and his new friend loves the water. Can they still be friends?
