[S2E1] Nonprofits PDX- Street Roots

[S2E1] Nonprofits PDX- Street Roots

In the first installment of his exploration into the work of Portland-area non-profit organizations, Yogev takes a look at a familiar staple of our community: Street Roots. Street Roots is an award-winning weekly street newspaper that humanizes our houseless community members in a city that has struggled to find solutions. Through investigative journalism, op-eds, vendor profiles, and more, Street Roots uncovers the consequences and impacts of policies on our communities while offering low-barrier income opportunities for some of our most vulnerable community members.

Come along as Yogev explores the impact of Street Roots on the houseless community through conversations with Street Roots vendor Mark, and Vendor Program Director Devon Pouncey.
