Here we are, the almost close-out episode of the Best of Perry season of The Capitol Minute, which turned into Minutes and darn near half an hour sometimes. But they were glorious minutes of passion sharing timely messages like today's message of God's ability to use Civil Government to carry out his wrath and the need to express God's fatherly love in the church and at home to counterbalance the femininity in today's Christian culture. EP - 045: Best of Perry - The Christian Attitude of Submission
Seems like the wrong time to discuss submission, as governments are wanting more of it from those that are skeptical of their decisions lately. Perry shares a descriptive word that will help you in discerning Romans 13: 1-7 and the myriad of ways it will be twisted as the Taliban take over governing in Afghanistan. Next week we continue sharing the Tyranny and Rebellion interview with the Epoch Times that will discuss what obedience to God looks like under tyrannical leaders.

EP - 038: Best of Perry - Epoch Times Interview Tyranny and Rebellion Part IV
Do you know the difference between advice being prescriptive or descriptive? If you don't it could save your life and countless others as you'll find out in today's episode. As Perry and Joshua Phillip discuss on this segment of Crossroads, there is a difference between the people being heard and the people overtaking by mob rule. The question is, do you know the difference?

EP - 036: The Best of Perry - The Power of Prayer
One of Perry's favorite sayings was " Right doing comes from right thinking and right thinking comes from thinking rightly about God." Perry was a bible teacher and evangelist. In this Stand The Gap interview you'll hear that passion for yourself as Perry is asked about the importance of reaching government leaders for Christ and how that impacts the society we live in today.

EP - 025 Best of Perry: KCRO Interview
We lost our friend and leader Perry Gauthier in Dec of 2020. We have compiled interviews Perry did for radio and TV to share with you that show his heart and passion for serving civil servants for Christ. EP - 024: Rogue Ministers and Big Fists

In this episode, Pastor Gauthier takes us to Psalm 2, into the conversation that God has with the messenger he has chosen to enact punishment against rebellious political leaders.

EP - 023: Prime Ministers and Big Bazookas
Social media is a great place to solicit advice on places to eat, recommendations for plumbers and painters, and the occasional date night idea. But can you imagine what would happen if you asked your "friends" for the best way to punish your son or daughter for lying, cheating, stealing, or a prank that led to another person's death? Are your "friends" armed with the wisdom to know how to punish actions that break down the fabric of society in a way to increase the desire to act morally and responsibly towards others? As we continue our study in the most important paragraph on civil government in the New Testament you will hear how Government serves its people best and what methods they use to do it.

EP - 022: A Summarizing of the Separating of State from Church
If you still think the separating of the church from the state means that the church should stay out of influencing the state then this short summary episode of the much longer Episode 020 is for you.

EP - 021: Avengers, Ministers, and Lethal Power
We need superheroes to stop diabolical murderers, scummy drug lords, dirty cops, sex traffickers, and cheating businessmen. If there is no “fear of God” or fear of punishment, criminals think they get unlimited “Get Out of Jail Free” cards. While a Christian is to model personal love and forgiveness in society, the civil government is to punish and avenge criminal evil. God said so...for Him...on earth!
The next Capitol Minute episode will be released this Friday and continuing forward new episodes will drop on Tuesdays and Fridays. Thank you for your continued interest and support of The Capitol Minute

EP - 020: Our Capitol Q&A—Separating Church from State?
Hardly ever does a Bible verse or appeal to prayer by a politician on social media go without someone chiming in, "keep your religion out of my politics," or "that violates the separation of church and state.” Atheists push for a religionless America. This episode can help you argue against the idea that the church should stay away from state involvement.

EP - 019: Be Afraid. Be Very Afraid
Parents are told to be gentle when disciplining their kids. Is gentleness key for government rulers to consider in punishing the crimes of their adult counterparts? These days, tears flow, and snowflakes melt when civil rulers punish evil. Why has society become so weak? Can political leaders put “the fear of God” into criminals using punishments just as severe as their crimes?

EP - 018: "To Obey or Disobey?" Is That Really a Question?
Submission, fear, and killing: these sound like movie plots. In today’s podcast, we will hear of them all because they are keywords in Romans 13:2. Our year has been filled with news stories showcasing lawlessness nationwide. Many citizens wonder how to stop the lawless and those plotting evil crimes. Will criminals fear those in authority when they will not enforce the rule of law?

EP - 017: Did God Ordain Hitler?
We are familiar with the phrase at the climax of a wedding "by the power vested in me by this state, I now pronounce you man and wife." Do you think political leaders have their own version that allows them the power to do whatever they want whenever they want? Power like Hitler wielded with his plans to achieve his own ends was to the detriment of millions. Does God really approve of the Hitlers of the world and their insane use of power?

EP - 016: Five Earthly Authorities
How does Christ mediate His reign on Earth today? He rules by His Spirit and the power of His Holy Word, the Bible, to be sure. But have you ever thought about Heaven delegating its own Authority to human authorities on earth? Is life on planet Earth more tolerable when those in authority lead well?

EP - 015: Our Capitol Q&A Part Two: Who Are You to Judge?
Did you know that the "Gentle Jesus" actually referred to toxic people as "swine" and "street dogs"? "Who was He to judge?" someone might ask. Does God expect Christians to use their heads and make sober and serious decisions about problem people and even political policies?

EP - 014: Our Capitol Q&A Part One: Who Are You to Judge?
In this tense political season have you noticed that Christians engaging in the cultural discussion are asked, "Who are you to judge?" Do you find that interesting? Isn't the person who is asking the question really making a "judgment" about the person to whom they are asking that question?

EP - 013: Limiting Civil Government
Civil Government is not the answer to everything. Even though designed by God, it is not the only God ordained institution. Has anyone ever explained to you what God's five institutions are? When each of these institutions run well, life is good on planet earth as God Himself has designed it.

EP - 012: And So It Begins: Civil Government
Mulligans and Do Overs are ways golfers and humans try to clear their minds and score cards of past mistakes. Did you know God had to "Start Over" with the human race? He judged and cleared Earth's violent slate in Noah's flood. Afterwards, He instituted civil government to rule on the dry ground of that new "start over" environment. You may not know the first and only law He instituted at that time.

EP - 011 : Do Good Governments Eliminate Evil?
Martin Luther King Jr. was a champion for justice. He realized that education and heart change mattered but so did laws. Have you heard his comments about how human governments can make "mighty big" changes in culture, like keeping people from lynching people? Laws restrain the heartless!

EP - 010: Loving Government or Loving Neighbors?
False dichotomy. If I said those were the only two words in the world, that would be a "false dichotomy" because I would be wrongly pitting two things against each other as if they were at odds. I would be forcing you to say that there were only two choices about a subject matter: the matter of words. Did you know God commands us to love our neighbors AND be good citizens?

EP - 009: Our Capitol Q&A #3 Is Politics "Secular" or Societal?
More than a few political discussions have been halted by the assertion that religious ideas should be set aside during political arguments. Secular humanists shout, "Get your religion out of my politics!" Is government necessarily a non-religious institution? Join Nate Wagner as he asks Perry Gauthier about “the secular and the sacred in politics” in this episode of The Capitol Minute.

EP - 008: Our Capitol Q&A #2. Does God Want Us Political?
When was the last time you heard a kid say that he wanted to be a politician when he grew up? If that happened you’d probably be shocked. What is it about the political arena that makes it so different from other career callings that pastors and churches encourage their followers to pursue? Pastor Perry will address God's will and our political involvement in this episode. Be sure to send us your questions for future Q&A's to angela@capitolstudies.org.

EP - 007: Q&A # 1 Christian Political Turnoffs
There are many "Politically Puzzling Problems" facing us today and many have to do with the struggle for power. Have you ever wondered if Christians are part of that power struggle and if so do they use political means to further their agenda? If they are, is that helping or hurting the mission to bring the revelation of Christ to every tribe, tongue and nation? Rev. Gauthier will be answering questions like these in the next episodes. If you have questions that are puzzling to you about faith and politics email them to angela@capitolstudies.org

EP - 006: 50 Million Christian Voters
How many pieces of salt water taffy do you think were given away over Halloween weekend? Salty treats are far from the most popular type of candy in America. So why did Jesus say that believers were the “salt of the earth” instead of something sweet like honey? How does “Christian saltiness” play out in everyday life for the Christ follower in 2020 in regards to civil government and especially in an election year?

EP - 005: Can Kings Be Big Babies?
Life is full of firsts that are experienced by people regardless of race, place, or religion. First steps, first words, and first achievements get saved in videos and pictures. We all love babies. We celebrate newborns. Why does society now celebrate the “choice” to end human life in the womb? Precious babies in the womb have unalienable rights to celebrate a life full of “firsts” outside the womb.

EP - 004: President for Life
Dictators want to rule for as long as they live, keep power in their family lineage, and look after their own lives. But a good leader—and a good POTUS—looks after the lives of their constituents. The protection and preservation of all innocent human life is the highest duty of any US President.

EP - 003: Empty Shells
Can politics get dirty? What are the vices in the political realm and how does a Christian lawmaker avoid them?

EP - 002: Who Will Pick The Next President?
Have you wondered if God is involved in who rises to governmental power? How do citizens affect those chosen to govern them? Rev. Perry Gauthier will take us to Daniel and First Timothy to discover the answers to these questions. He knows AND will tell us "Who will pick the next President."

EP - 001 : Minute-Long Answers for Worried Citizens
Capitol Studies International introduces The Capitol Minute podcast that will be focused on answering questions about God and Government minutes at a time every Monday, Wednesday and Friday with your host Rev. Perry Gauthier.
