· Everyone’s life is enhanced when the community is inclusive of everyone. We can learn so much from each other by listening to people’s lived experience.

Here are 3 things that stood out as George Kanellopoulos gave us a Greek primary care physician’s perspective on healthcare:

· Healthcare is not just a life science. It is about caring, giving, and healing.
· Healthcare practitioners must find the balance between being a scientist and being a human being.
· The Greek healthcare system cannot be described as a “system”, it’s not organized enough to be called systematic. There is limited communication between the healthcare practitioners. Additionally, most of the payment is from the patient’s pocket.
