Paul wrote in Ephesians that we are “...created in Christ Jesus for good works…” (Eph. 2:8-10) and James challenges us to show our faith through good works. In this episode, Brian and Tommy discuss the heart behind these good works and what it means to seek God first, and for our good works to be rooted in a heart of worship towards the Father.

Brian and Tommy discuss overcoming various obstacles while ministering in Haiti and India. One common obstacle faced in each country is that of poverty. Heart of the Bride helps support local ministries in each country which provide education as well as meet other needs for hundreds of children each year. Each country also faces polytheism, as Haiti battles voodoo and mysticism while some Hindu groups in India are said to worship millions of different entities. Heart of the Bride continues to support these ministries in meeting basic needs as well as sharing the gospel and providing Biblical discipleship. Continue to pray for each of these countries and for the kids we serve.

Tommy and Brian talk about the ministries Heart of the Bride supports in both Kenya and Zambia. Brian discusses the ways Heart of the Bride helps the children in need in each country and how others can join to help. The Eagles Christian Academy in Kenya provides schooling, meals and discipleship to orphaned and vulnerable children Kithianio, Kenya. Abba’s Heart Zambia helps rescue homeless street kids from the area around Kitwe, Zambia providing street outreach, residential housing, meals and skills training to numerous kids each year.

Brian and Tommy talk about how the world-wide church can connect and work together to serve those in need. With millions of orphaned and vulnerable children around the world, no one group can help every child. We can come together, however, as the body of Christ and each of us can help some.
