Please Handle With Self-Care
By Megan Touchstone
Please Handle With Self-Care is a project with Van Wezel Artworks Anywhere Teen Voices. It mostly focuses on different self-care techniques, although some episodes will also be on the mental health crisis. The target audience is teens and young adults, although anyone can benefit from a self-care podcast. Each episode will feature a different guest. Some are professionals in the episode topic, whereas others are teens in the area. Feel free to write in your suggestions and even a request to be on the show! Journalism
My guest speaker Jessica and I will be discussing the benefits of journalism as a self-care technique. We will be specifically talking about how journalism can be applied to seniors in high school, however, the benefits we discuss can be applied to any situation, so feel free to listen no matter where you are at in your journey in life. Journalism has so many benefits, including but not limited to encouraging positive thinking, reflection, planning your future, escaping your hardships temporarily, visualizing your emotions, and being able to release frustrations. We discuss our personal experiences with journalism in our life journeys and how journalism has played a role.

Dance
In this episode, my guest speaker Kiran and I discuss our personal experience with dance. We discuss how dance has influenced our lives, allowed us to escape stress, and served as a way to discover ourself. Even if you are unable to physically dance, dance can still serve as an excellent self-care technique. There are many benefits to participating in dance that Kiran and I discuss together.
