The Journal of Veterans Studies
The Journal of Veterans Studies (JVS) is an open-access, peer-reviewed, electronic journal that seeks to sustain international research, facilitate interdisciplinary research collaborations, and narrow gaps between cultures, institutions, experiences, knowledge, and understanding, all within the burgeoning and inherently trans-disciplinary field of veterans studies. Virginia Tech Publishing has hosted JVS since 2018. For this inaugural episode, regular host of the Published By podcast, Joe Forte, welcomes co-host Jason A. Higgins, the post-doctoral fellow in Digital Humanities and Oral History with the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences at Virginia Tech. Jason and Joe were joined in conversation by three special guests. Mariana Grohowski is the founding editor-in-chief of JVS. Bruce Pencek is the college librarian for the social sciences in the University Libraries at Virginia Tech and co-founder of the Veterans in Society initiative at Virginia Tech. Peter Potter is the director of Virginia Tech Publishing.
