A Short Episode on Content Strategy with Joe Lemon

A Short Episode on Content Strategy with Joe Lemon

Content = 🏪 ?
Back in the day, people were out and about, looking at billboards and storefronts.
Not anymore.
At least not as much.

Because they spend 2 to 4 hours on average on their phones (or more!)
That is why content makes more sense today than ever before, it allows you to get noticed by your customers. ✅

This episode is a bit different than my usual ones since here, I am getting interviewed here by Joe Lemon, the host of the sales culture podcast channel.

Here, we will go through topics related to authentic content production, and there are some big takeaways in this short episode:

👉 Repurposing wastes more time, instead, make more shorts which will help you grow your content volume in a short time.

👉 You don’t need to sell anything in your content; just give free advice. Your content will be consumed if people can learn something from it.

👉Get some ideas for content creation from other companies like Laavu, Vilpe, and many more.

👉AI cannot be a solution every time, sometimes they just mess up and waste time instead of saving it.

👉Content helps to make things interesting, so boring companies eg: manufacturing or industrial, should be doing content to attract customers since you are the only one doing content.

Things to know about content-creation as a beginner

Things to know about content-creation as a beginner

Are you a beginner in content creation and find it hard to engage your audience?

In this episode, we delved deep into content-making strategy with Martin Koskei, CEO of Kiki’s Home Box, a start-up company.

If you still want to become more active on your social media platforms and find your way to begin, then this episode is going to help you. Because here, we talk about:

  1. Promoting category: You don’t promote your product, but you promote the category. You need to show your audience why the current way of doing things is not working and what the new way of doing things is. This is how you create the desire for a solution.

  1. Algorithm: Make content that is interesting to your customers; if your audience swipes your content, the algorithm will stop showing it in their feed.

  1. Customer segmentation: You should make different content based on the different types of customers you have. If you keep making the same content for various customer bases, you will lose.

  1. LinkedIn: The LinkedIn algorithm works differently than other social media platforms. You need to make content, connect people, and comment on others’ posts. This is how your content will be shown in your connections’ newsfeeds.

  1. Content ideas: What type of content can you start making? Simply start by sharing free advice and teaching people what you are good at. If your advice is good, people will listen to it and they will keep coming back to your content.

Apart from these, you can get ideas about what content management tools need to be used and how AI can help in repurposing; however, the most important thing is to GET STARTED. Once you start creating content, the rest of the problems will also be sorted out. You just need to start.

Welcome to our The Authentic Content Podcast hosted by Rasmus Basilier. Here we talk about creating authentic content that helps B2B businesses, and marketers to be Known, Liked, and Trusted in their market. Each idea will be explained with relevant and practical case studies for easier understanding.

How to NOT making Sh!tty (BAD) content?

How to NOT making Sh!tty (BAD) content?

Have YOU ever had that fear of creating BAD content that no one would ever care about your brand or worse, they would laugh at you? Then you don't feel like creating content for your brand anymore 🤔

If you've experienced this, know that you're not alone. That fear actually stems from caring deeply about your work and its perception, so you want to strive for the greatness. I've been there too.

But, trust me, the magic will happen when YOU take the first steps, share your work to the world. It might sound cliché but let me convince you with my imperfect content creation beginnings to prove that authenticity is what truly matters. Your audience craves YOUR substance and insights more than anything else.

What else you will get from this episode is Tips to elevate your content creation journey. Believe me or not, YOU already have what it takes to create unique content for YOUR brand, and I'm here to guide you along the way! ^_^

Must-know equipment tips for creating Authentic Content!

Must-know equipment tips for creating Authentic Content!

Substance matters more than gear. Plus, you'll learn some affordable but valuable equipment that I'm using (even though I say its' not important) on my content creation journey so you can consider trying it out 🙂

There are two common ways people approach production quality.

  1. Those who start creating content with basic equipment

  2. Or, those who get caught up in trying to match the pros, thinking they need the latest gadgets to be at a "good level"

But here's the deal - you don't need a fancy setup to get started. Take Peter Zeihan, for example, with his 500,000 followers. He records with just his smartphone while hiking up a mountain. He's all about content substance.

💡What really matters is delivering value through your content. Good audio and lighting can enhance it, but they're not actually important. As long as I can hear you and see you. So, don't let the lack of equipment hold you back. Start recording, and you can always upgrade as you go.

(even though it's not important, you will probably still do it ;) )

If you find it interesting, please don't forget to follow our channel. We'd love to share our insights to help you and your team become KNOWN, LIKED and TRUSTED in your industry because that is our goal! ^_^

Identio's Authentic Content Making Journey

Identio's Authentic Content Making Journey

Can you imagine running a company and not having any sales team but still making money?

Sounds impossible, right?

Then let’s meet the company Identio, a 30 people software consultancy company where the only salesperson is the CEO of the company Joonas Korgan and he has been doing it through Authentic Content.

I had a good time making the podcast with Wille Heino, the creative brain behind Identio’s content.

In this episode, we will cover Identio’s authentic content-making method and how it can lead a company to make money.

Here, me and Wille share:

1.       Why they started making content and how helpful it was for them.

2.       How writing on LinkedIn can be a good way to start expressing yourself. Joonas Korgan writes 6-10 LinkedIn posts and he expresses his feelings without any filter through writing.

3.       Do not process your content too much, it can slow you down, just share useful information through your content.

4.       Document your journey, create personal branding, be yourself, and share your unique perspective to the world.

5.       You might feel silly at the beginning of making content, but once you start to see the results, you will know that it was worth it.

Start creating content with "One Small Thing" related to your audience - Case: Eero Timonen

In this episode, we're diving into "A little small thing" method used by a remarkable guy named Eero Timonen, who hails from the cold installation business in Finland. Eero has a unique approach to engaging his audience, and we're excited to share it with you.

Welcome to our The Authentic Content Podcast hosted by Rasmus Basilier. Here we talk about creating authentic content that can help B2B business, marketers to be Known, Liked and Trusted in their market.

Eero Timonen's method:

Looking at Eero's videos, what stands out is how he starts each one: A simple greeting, he connects with his viewers. But it's not just the greeting; it's the way he brings his audience into his working life.

Eero doesn't shy away from showcasing the not-so-great work he encounters. When something isn't good enough, he pulls out the camera, shows the issue, and explains how to fix it. It's an ingenious way to share knowledge and offer actionable advice.

In a world where attention spans are short, creating content that resonates is essential. Eero's approach is a testament to the power of "showing your face, sharing your voice, and delivering value". It's a simple yet effective strategy that can help you to be KNOWN, LIKED AND TRUSTED.

Overall, through this case study, we want to show you a meaningful insight that is: No matter what field you're working on, you have the power to make a difference, share your expertise, and build trust. There's no perfect opportunity. With each video, you're one step closer to being known, liked, and trusted.
