Ep. 238 "Bound to Christ: A Livining Sacrifice" - Romans 12:1-21
We are told over and over again to be Christlike. But the pinnacle action of Christ's life was to sacrifice Himself for the whole world. How can we be Christlike if we do not also sacrifice ourselves for others. Being like the world is a passive reality. Following Jesus calls for a renewal of our minds that leads to the life of a living sacrifice. This week Pastor Taylor Gabbert ends the "Bound to Christ" series in Romans chapter 12.

Ep. 237 "God and Sex: Part 5: Diligence and Beauty" - Song of Songs 6:1-7:9
The most difficult part of a relationship is dealing with each other when there has been a deep offense. It is only through the grace of God that a couple can find healthy restoration when they experience hurt towards each other. In this lesson, Pastor Philip Jackson continues his series on God and Sex with Lesson 5 “Diligence and Beauty” from Song of Songs 6:1-7:9.

Ep. 236 "Sermon on the Mount pt. 1: Kingdom Principles and Priorities" - Matthew 5
The Sermon on the Mount is one of the most revolutionary moments in human history. Jesus delivered the most fundamental understanding of Christianity and told the world that those who lose in this life will win in the next life. Christians have held onto this portion of Scripture dearly since the first generations of Christianity. This week Pastor Matthew O'Mealy begins a two part series on the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew chapter 5.

Plus, we look at some common myths about sex in unmarried relationships.

Ep. 233 "Bound to Christ: Focusing on God" - Romans 8:18-39
The truth is that if we stop and take into account all of the evidence, we will see that all of creation is focused toward one thing. The whole universe waits in suspense for this one act that God has promised. The whole Gospel, Bible, and God's plan to glorify Himself will see its perfection on the last day. When all God's children and creation are redeemed, and all sin is punished. Paul, reaching the climax of his explanation of the Gospel spends the last portions of Romans chapter 8 trying to orient us on the point of our entire existence. This week, Pastor Taylor Gabbert, walks through the powerful work of God in the Gospel with Romans 8:18-39.

Ep. 232 "God and Sex: Part 2: The Arrival of True Love" - Song of Songs 2:8-3:5
A common misconception about relationships is that marriage is the culmination of a journey. But it is really the beginning of an adventure that God has uniquely designed to bring glory to the gospel. In this lesson Pastor Philip Jackson continues his series on God and Sex with “The Arrival of True Love” from Song of Songs 2:8-3:5.

Ep. 231 "Bound to Christ: Testimony and Spirit" - Romans 8:1-17
Paul begins the climax of his Gospel explanation with the central hope of the good news. "There is now no condemnation!" The good news of the Gospel is that through Christ we can escape the condemnation to come. Paul wants us to know how amazing this reality truly is. This week Pastor Taylor Gabbert continues a series on being bound to Christ in Romans 8:1-17.

Ep. 230 "God and Sex: Part 1: The Desire for True Love" - Song of Songs 1:1-2:7
Our generation has a lot to say about sex and what it should look like, but what does God's word say about say about it? With all of the sexual poison around us, God's word must be our source to have healthy relationships. That all starts with how we view sex. This is part one of a five part series covering every verse of the song of Songs by Pastor Philip Jackson.

Ep. 229 "The Gospel in Galatians" - Galatians 1-6
Sometimes it is easy for us to miss the point of the Bible for moral implications in verses. We often miss the forest for the trees. The Gospel is the central point of the Bible. Paul surrendered his life to obey God in the spreading of that Gospel. In the book of Galatians, we can see Paul's doctrinal understanding of the Gospel taking shape. A shape that would one day be written in incredible detail to the church in Rome. This week, Young Adult Pastor, Matthew O'Mealey take us through the whole book of Galatians in search of the Gospel.

Ep. 228 "Straining Forward" - Philippians 3:12-4:23
Unsatisfied with where God has you? Don't know what to do next or why God won't answer your prayers? The fact is that God's plan has always been and will always be better than ours. When we are not satisfied with what God is up to, it's a clue we aren't focused on Him. When we trust God with our circumstances He brings us true joy. This week Christian James finishes the series on Philippians in chapters 3 and 4.

Ep. 227 "Exposed: The Righteous Heart" - Malachi 4:1-6
Not enough people tell us the truth in life. The truth is we live in a broken and hopeless world. There is nothing we can do or attain that will change that. That is why the good news of the Gospel is so good. The good news is that God has done everything that needed to be done to rescue us from this cold dark world and save us. This week, Pastor Taylor Gabbert continues his series in Malachi with a look at the Righteous Heart in Malachi chapter 4.

Does your heart match the heart of Christ more today than it did yesterday? What about last week? Are you ever worried about the lack of spiritual growth through the years, or is life just about getting more stuff? God wants to transform your heart to want what He wants and love what He wants. We should want to have a Christlike heart. This week Roman James continues a series in Philippians with chapters 2 and 3.

Ep. 225 "Exposed: The Worldly Heart" - Malachi 3:8-3:17
The way we treat our earthly possessions says a lot about how we view God. Often we think we believe certain things about God and His word, even though we never live that out with our actions. How we treat things exposes our hearts towards God and His blessings and offer of salvation. This week Pastor Taylor Gabbert continues the series "Exposed" from Malachi chapter 3.

Ep. 224 "Exposed: The Refined Heart" - Malachi 2:17-3:7
Fire is a vital part of human life. It is something we need and yet it can be harmful when it is not treated with the respect it deserves. God often used fire to represent Himself in the Bible. The question in our lives is when the presence of God burns away the temporal parts of our life, will there be any eternal left? This week Pastor Taylor Gabbert talks about the fire that purifies the heart in Malachi chapter 3.

Ep. 223 "Visions of Advacement" - Philippians 1:1-30
The Christian life is not natural to sinful people. It's not natural or easy after Jesus saves us from our sinful selves. We have trained our entire lives to rebel against God. So how do we shift our mindset onto the things of Christ? How do we retrain to love the LORD instead of opposing Him? This week, guest speaker Christian James talks about the mindset of advance from Philippians chapter 1.

Ep. 222 "Am I Waiting on the LORD?" - James 5:1-20
The Bible tells me to wait on the LORD. How do I do that? How do I know if that is actually what I'm doing or if I even understand what that means? The book of James is a book focused on how our actions demonstrate our belief. Want to know what you're waiting for? Look at what you're busy doing. In this special episode of REACH College, Pastor Taylor Gabbert talks to the TCC BCM about waiting on the LORD in James chapter 5.

How do we examine our hearts? If only we could peel back layer by layer and get to the place deep down where our motivations and beliefs are to lay them bare and expose them. The Bible tells us that when we encounter the Gospel, it exposes the inner workings of our heart. This week Pastor Taylor Gabbert begins a four-part series in Malachi discovering how the heart is exposed by the Gospel.

Ep. 220 "Bound to Christ: Wretched Man" - Romans 7:14-25
Believers often experience agony and shame when they sin. We tell ourselves that we should be better. That we should already have learned this lesson. But when we look at Paul's example he dealt with the same issues. He struggled with sin in his life. He also saw that sin pointing him to his Savior. This week Pastor Taylor Gabbert talks about the wretched man causing each and every one of us to sin in Romans 7:14-25.

Ep. 218 "Bound to Christ: The Law in Love" - Romans 7:1-13
With the sacrifice of Christ on the cross, what happened to the law? We are free from our death in sin, but how do we face the Old Testament law? Jesus said He came to keep the law! Christians serve the law of God in His Spirit not the letter. We are free to have a relationship with the law that is not in condemnation. This week Pastor Taylor Gabbert discusses the law from Romans 7:1-13.

Ep. 217 "Godly Community: Harsh Words" - 2 Samuel 12
It can be difficult to tell a close friend a hard truth. However, with the right timing and a desire to tell the truth in love, a godly community can be strengthened. In this lesson, Pastor Dusty Bratzler dives into 2 Samuel 12 to reveal how harsh words can be pivotal in our construction of community.

Ep. 216 "Bound to Christ: Why Choose Jesus?" - Romans 6:15-23
Throughout Church history men and women have died for the cause of Christ. Many faced terrible deaths by choice. They ignored chances to deny their savior and live. Why choose Jesus? Why would anyone willing die for Christianity? The real question for Christians is, when you've experienced saving grace, how could you not give your life for it? This week Pastor Taylor Gabbert discusses the benefit of Jesus over sin in Romans chapter 6.

Ep. 215 "Peopling Is Hard" (Level 4: Sunday School)
“Sunday School” is a relatively new effort for the church. The term was coined by D.L. Moody in the mid 19th Century who worked to educate street children in Chicago in the gospel. His work has given us a simple description of a core piece of Christian community that dates back to the ministry of Jesus. In this lesson, Pastor Philip Jackson continues his series on the 5 Levels of Community with “Level 4: Peopling is hard.”

Ep. 214 "Bound to Christ: Made New" - Romans 6:1-14
The Bible tells us that sin holds dominion over us and forces us into slavery to it. It does this until we are set free by being connected to the death of Christ. Paul tells us that if we are connected to Christ's death we will also be connected to Him in a new life. This new life is a life of freedom instead of subjugation in sin. This week Pastor Taylor Gabbert walks through Paul's explanation of this new life in Romans chapter 6.

Ep. 212 "Bound to Christ: Or Bound to Adam" - Romans 5:12-21
We know that following the wrong person can get you into serious trouble. Who you bind yourself to has consequences. The real problem is that all humans are bound to the consequences of Adam. The good news is that God has made a way to be bound to Christ. This week Pastor Taylor Gabbert explores Paul's comparison of Adam to Jesus in Romans 5:12-21.

Ep. 211 "The Foundation of Community" (Level 2: Putting the "Disciple in Discipleship")
“Discipleship” is a word that is thrown around church culture pretty freely. But what does it actually mean? In many circles, it has been reduced to simply an education in church culture. But scripture gives us a very specific direction about how to develop believers and what discipleship means. In this lesson, Pastor Philip Jackson continues his series on the five levels of community within the church, with “Putting the ‘Disciple’ in Discipleship.”

Ep. 210 "Bound to Christ: At War With God" - Romans 5:1-11
The Bible tells us that we can be at peace with God. This offer of peace is telling. If we need peace then we must be at war in the first place. Am I at war with God? If I am how can I possibly have peace with Him? This week Pastor Taylor Gabbert explains God's love for us and the offer of peace in the blood of Christ in Romans 5:1-11.

Ep. 209 "Special Episode: Dating" - Ephesians 5:22-33
Dating is by far one of the most horribly defined and hazardous systems in our culture today. Anyone who has dated a lot is sick of it. Everyone who hasn't dated a lot has no idea how to do it. Where even is dating in the Bible?! During this special episode of REACH College, Pastor Taylor Gabbert discusses the idea of Gospel centered dating with the Tulsa Community College BCM.

Ep. 207 "Bound to Christ: Will God Save Me?" - Romans 4:1-25
We serve a God who makes the ungodly Godly. This is an absolutely absurd reality. But the same God who creates all things and has power over life and death can credit righteousness to sinners. This is done through the blood of Jesus Christ and made available to us through faith. This week Pastor Taylor Gabbert explains the most impossible act of God in Romans 4:1-25.

Ep. 204 "Bound to Christ: My Heart Made New" - Romans 2:17-29
There has only ever been one man who lived a perfect life. Jesus Christ lived that perfect life to save us because we couldn't do it ourselves. Paul tells the church in Rome that only those who have their hope in Christ will receive praise from God. Do you have a heart being made new by the Holy Spirit? Or are you trying to be "good enough." Ep. 202 "Bound to Christ: My Heart Exposed" - Romans 2:1-16
Paul's beautiful explanation of the Gospel, in Romans, is not without hard hitting accusations against those who rely on themselves for salvation. Roman's chapter 2 is one such sections of Scripture. He switches tones from those defiant of God's mercy to those who think they are in with God merely by agreeing with Him. Do you think your salvation is tied to agreeing with God's moral values? You should agree with God, He's right! But in God's holiness we see just how much we actually need Him. This week Pastor Taylor continues to walk through the Gospel in a series in Romans.

Ep. 201 "Godly Community: Precious Stones" - 1 Peter 2:4-12
Where do we find our value? The world tells us this value is whatever makes us different than others. It tells us our value is whatever accomplishments we have or how much stuff we've acquired. For Christians our value is in Jesus Christ. We are the precious living stones of our heavenly Father. This week Pastor Taylor Gabbert talks about value in 1 Peter 2.

Ep. 200 "Bound to Christ: Made to Worship" - Romans 1:18-32
We were made to worship. Something inside of us is seeking something worthy of our worship that will fulfill the need we have to be in worship. The madness of humanity is that we traded the glory of God, the only thing worthy of worship, for created things. We left behind the fulfillment of God for the misery of objects and values that leave us feeling worthless. This week Pastor Taylor Gabbert talks about the urgent need for the Gospel in Romans 1:18-32.

Ep. 199 "Godly Community: What Is It? What Is It Not?" - Ephesians 2:19-22
The most common buzz word used in young adult ministry is, "community". Finding a place to belong is one of the greatest challenges of starting out in life. In fact, it is an issue that never changes as you get older. But few stop to ask what godly community is and where it comes from. Ep. 198 "Bound to Christ: Gospel Clarity" - Romans 1:1-17
There is a perception in Christianity that the Gospel is the ticket into the club, but all the really good stuff is after that. The entire Bible is pointing, from beginning to end, to the Gospel. There is no Christianity 2.0. There is no advanced stuff. And there is no leaving the Gospel behind as if it's just for beginners. The Gospel is the point. It is the "good news" to all humanity. If we lose sight of the Gospel we have never understood the faith from the start. This is why Paul spent the entire book of Romans writing the most comprehensive explanation of the Gospel in the Bible. This week Pastor Taylor Gabbert starts a new series on the Gospel in Romans called, "Bound to Christ" in Romans 1:1-17.

Ep. 197 "Kingless: Following the King" - Judges 20:1-48
We spend so much of our lives focused on what is happening around us. What is happening to us. We focus on the things we cannot control instead of the things that God has given us to focus on. When was the last time you realized the problem in your life is not outside? The problem in your life is the sin inside of your life. God wants us to eradicate the things that cause the civil war within us. This week Pastor Taylor Gabbert ends the "Kingless" series in Judges chapter 20.

Ep. 196 "Kingless: Am I Loveless?" - Judges 19:1-30
There is only one real love in the world. The unconditional, sacrificial, righteous love of God. When we love in selfish and self centered ways we do not even mimic real love. Being transformed by Christ is what enables us to love others the way He loves them. Are we intentional about loving others in a Christlike way or do we not even care? Ep. 194 "Kingless: Finding My Own Way and Blaming God" - Judges 17:1-18:31
We often go about life treating God like an afterthought. We make up God's mind for Him and put words in His mouth. Then when things don't go our way we blame God for not blessing our path. If we truly know God we are able to follow Him and praise Him how He desires to be praised. If we don't know God we often are upset with Him for our own mistakes. This week Pastor Taylor Gabbert talks about truly knowing God's desires in Judges chapters 17 and 18.

Something we hear often is that churches are full of fake people. But have you ever considered that in the context of what we know about the human race? Entire digital platforms and apps have been created so that we can present to the world the parts of our lives. But what does God think about fake people? Ep. 102 “Prayer: The First Line of Offense” - 1 Timothy 1:18-2:15
Contention with others is an inevitable part of life. For the believer, the Bible says that we are guaranteed to have trouble as the kingdom of God crashes into conflict with the world both inside and outside of our lives. It is only through a proper understanding of God’s perspective that we can “wage good warfare.”

Ep. 101 “Battles in Glass Cases” - 1 Timothy 1:1-17
Before the rise in Internet shopping it was common for stores to display their most prized products in large glass displays facing the street outside their shop. It was meant to draw the attention of those who passed by and entice them to come in and spend their money. In this lesson, Pastor Philip Jackson teaches how the apostle Paul understood his public role as someone who “Christ might show all longsuffering to those who are going to believe” and what it meant to be put on display for the gospel.

Ep. 97 "Greatness” - Matthew 23:1-12
In the kingdom of God everything is upside down from human wisdom. Our generation tells us that in order for us to succeed, we must be the hardest working and skilled person in our industry. In this lesson, Pastor Philip Jackson teaches on the importance of the true definition of greatness and what the priorities should be for a servant of Christ.

Ep. 93 "Defending Unity" - John 13:18-35
"Love God, love people" has become a rallying cry for many believers in response to the harshness of American Culture toward people with different belief systems. In this lesson, Pastor Philip Jackson discusses what it means to defend our collective identity and what Jesus meant by these final lessons to His disciples.

Ep. 89 "Equipped for Unity: The Word of God" - 2 Timothy 3:10-17
Paul describes the Word of God as a two edged sword that has the power to cut through any challenge and divide the truth from lies. It is the only offensive piece of equipment that we have been given to challenge the world and advance the cause of Christ. In this lesson Pastor Philip Jackson discusses the significance of the Bible and why it is necessary for God’s children to live in victory as they fight side by side against the forces of evil.

Ep. 88 "Equipped for Unity: Faith" - Romans 8:18-30

Ep. 87 - "Equipped for Unity: Preparation" - Isaiah 52:1-12
One of the central attributes of a child of God is their confidence in the middle of a struggle. God’s word has promised us that if we remain focused on Him (abide in Him) we will have peace. In this lesson Taylor Gabbert reaches the importance of preparing our mind with the hope of the gospel and the confidence that follows as it equips us to walk in unity as God’s children.

Ep. 86 - "Equipped for Unity: Salvation" - Ephesians 4:17-24
The primary battle for each of us is the battle for our minds. God’s word has a lot to say about mental health and the discipline that is necessary to protect our thoughts. This is why the truth of salvation is so important for us to walk in confidence and protect our minds. In this lesson Pastor Philip Jackson teaches how the knowledge of God, His character, and the assurances of His word enable us to protect our minds through salvation in Jesus Christ.

Ep. 85 - "Equipped for Unity: Righteousness" - 1 Peter 2:1-12
There is freedom and liberty in Christ. Those who have received the free gift of salvation are no longer bound by the eternal condemnation of sin. But as we live and share the hope of the gospel with others, the sinfulness of the world and evil’s hatred for God’s people will always be looking for ways to undermine the message and people of God. In this lesson Pastor Philip Jackson teaches the importance of righteousness and how it affects our ability to work together as a unified family of God.

Ep. 84 - "Equipped for Unity: Truth" - Psalm 119:1-16
The challenge in our generation is that there is no definition of truth. Instead of living biblically and being rooted in the unmovable truth of God’s word, we have chosen to make decisions based on our own insecurity and sinful motives. In this lesson Pastor Philip Jackson teaches about the importance of living by what is true and how that equips us to live in victory as a part of God’s community.

Ep. 83 - "Equipped for Unity: Battle Ready" - Isaiah 59:15b-21
Many are familiar with the armor of God in Ephesians 6:13-17, but few know that Paul’s letter is not the first mention of these supernatural tools in scripture. This difficult task means making a conscious decision to walk in holiness and humility every day.

Ep. 75 - "Impractical Faith: Wisdom" James 3:1-4:3
A great challenge for believers is finding wisdom amongst the culture. But how can we follow wisdom, cultivating righteousness and peace? In this week's lesson, Taylor Gabbert teaches on the importance of wisdom from within every believers daily walk compared to wisdom of this earth.

Ep. 74 - "Impractical Faith: Works" James 1:26-2:26
One of the greatest challenges we face as people of faith is how to discern our progress as a believer. We can see it in a number of ways, but the most obvious is in our changed behavior. In this week's lesson, Taylor Gabbert teaches on the significance of action as a result of our faith and the role works plays in the lives of a believer.

Ep. 73 - "Impractical Faith: Endurance" James 1:1-25

In this lesson, guest speaker Taylor Gabbert teaches the importance of faith in the midst of a trial and the reward that is waiting for us if we endure.

Ep. 72 - "Young Guns: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego The Faithful" Daniel 3

Young Guns is a series that explores how God has used young adults in Scripture to accomplish His divine plan through different spiritual gifts.

Ep. 71 - "Young Guns: Stephen The Servant" Acts 6:1-15, 7:54-60
According to the Bible and the teachings of Jesus, the gift of service is the greatest gift anyone can receive. In this lesson, Pastor Philip describes the life of a servant and what God can do with a humble heart that is not afraid to serve, even when it may cost us our lives.
Young Guns is a series that explores how God has used young adults in Scripture to accomplish His divine plan through different spiritual gifts.

Ep. 70 - "Young Guns: Joseph The Leader" Genesis 41:14-46
Leadership is a subject that is prevalent in secular settings, but it is one of the most misunderstood gifts in the Bible. A person that has been given the spiritual gift of leadership will naturally be elevated to a position of influence, but it is always rooted in a proper understanding of who gives and takes away influence. In this lesson, Pastor Philip teaches that godly leadership is given by God. It is not just limited to charisma and people skills.
Young Guns is a series that explores how God has used young adults in Scripture to accomplish His divine plan through different spiritual gifts.

Young Guns is a series that explores how God has used young adults in Scripture to accomplish His divine plan through different spiritual gifts.

Young Guns is a series that explores how God has used young adults in Scripture to accomplish His divine plan through different spiritual gifts.

Ep. 67 - "Young Guns: Samuel the Prophet" 1 Samuel 3-4:1
The gift of prophecy is unique because it is the gift that God uses to speak His purpose to His people. Throughout scripture God has given specific people a special understanding of his intentions and used them to give insight to others. Prophecy differs from teaching primarily through the way God communicates to His people. In this lesson, Pastor Philip uses the example of Samuel, the boy prophet, to illustrate how God has provided clarity to his people through the gift of prophecy.
Young Guns is a series that explores how God has used young adults in Scripture to accomplish His divine plan through different spiritual gifts.

Ep. 66 - "When God Literally Moves You To Africa" Hannah Tynes

Ep. 65 - "Young Guns: Joshua & Caleb The Exhorters" Numbers 13:17-14:10
The gift of exhortation (encouragement) is the gift that sees things not as they seem, but as they really are. Those who have the gift of exhortation are those who see what God is doing in the lives of His people and always draw people’s eyes to the provisions of God. In this lesson, Pastor Philip uses the story of two young men who defied a nation of pessimists and called their attention to the hope that God had provided.
Young Guns is a series that explores how God has used young adults in Scripture to accomplish His divine plan through different spiritual gifts.

Ep. 64 - "Young Guns: Timothy the Teacher" 1 Timothy 4:12-16
The gift of teaching is one of the most prominent gifts of the Holy Spirit. It is so well known because it is one of the most publicly used gifts. One of Paul’s most promising disciples was a young man named Timothy who had a gift for teaching. In the first of two letters written to his young apprentice, Paul teaches Timothy the important foundation of good teaching. Pastor Philip shows us in this lesson how God uses those who have been given the gift of teaching and uses them to build the body of Christ.
Young Guns is a series that explores how God has used young adults in Scripture to accomplish His divine plan through different spiritual gifts.

God uses the merciful to teach His children to see those who have been overcome by hardship and gently bring them to a right relationship with God. In this lesson, Pastor Philip shows us how Jesus used the gift of mercy to bring desperate people to the Father through meeting their everyday needs.
Young Guns is a series that explores how God has used young adults in Scripture to accomplish His divine plan through different spiritual gifts.

Ep. 62 - "Unity in the Flesh or the Spirit" Galatians 1-5

Ep. 61 - "People Pleasing" Philippians: 4:10-20
Unity is a blessing to everyone. In this lesson, Pastor Philip teaches the final verses of Paul’s letter to the Philippians as he offers some encouragement to his brothers and sisters. Through their obedience to Christ and commitment to unity, they played a part in Paul’s ministry and have been an example to Christians throughout history. Their simple testimony not only blessed Paul, but also showed the rich result of pleasing God through obedience to unity.

Ep. 60 - "Unity Is A Mindset, Not A Project" Philippians: 4:8-9
Many believers will acknowledge the importance of unity in the church and in their personal lives. But what does it practically look like to live as a unifier? In this lesson, Pastor Philip teaches the mind, life, and product of being a unifier to those around us. It is not something that comes without any effort. It takes intentional focus and determination to be someone who brings others together.

Ep. 59 - "Divided past, United future" Philippians: 3:12-4:1
Trophies are a big deal to us. More than likely, growing up there were celebrations over your accomplishments. What would it be like to be part of a team only celebrated individuals and obsessed about what each person had individually accomplished? In this passage of scripture, Pastor Philip teaches that some of the greatest hindrances we face in our walk with God are obsessing about our individual accomplishments at the expense of the body of Christ.

Ep. 58 - "Seeing Others First" Philippians: 2:1-11

Ep. 57 - "United against the world" Philippians: 1:27-30

Ep. 56 - "Freedom for the Future" Romans 5:1-5
Is faith the same as belief? One of the greatest lies that Satan tries to convince God’s children of is that they are the same thing. But that’s not what God’s word says. In this passage, the Apostle Paul teaches us that faith is the path to a miraculous, free life. As children of God, we have access to the ultimate freedom, but many times that freedom is bogged down by a worldly perspective of our circumstances. In Christ there is freedom and an invitation to see the world with limitless opportunities.
This lesson is part two of a two part crossover event between REACH Young Adult Ministries and TCC Baptist Collegiate Ministries (BCM). In this lesson, Philip Jackson, Pastor to Young Adults at Evergreen Church, discusses how faith leads to freedom.

Ep. 55 - "I Am Free" 1 John 1:7-2:17
There is freedom and protection in the community of believers. This lesson is part one of a two part crossover event between REACH Young Adult Ministries and TCC Baptist Collegiate Ministries (BCM). In this lesson, TCC BCM Director Kyle Thomas discusses the need for accountability and the freedom that comes from godly relationships.

Ep. 54 - "Don't Worry About Your Life" Matthew 6:25-34
Have you ever wondered what it would take to not worry about things? In this lesson, Sam Steele explores one of the great lessons of all time and what Jesus meant when He told us to not worry.

Ep. 53 - "Is God Enough?" Jeremiah 29:4-14
In this message, Philip Jackson shows us that it is God's desire to prove to us that He is enough for whatever comes into our life.

Ep. 52 - "What To Do When you Don’t Know What To Do" Psalm 46
Every season of life will have moments when you don't know what to do. God designed our lives to be filled with problems and solutions. He does this so that we can see His provision in our lives and teach us to trust Him. In this lesson Philip Jackson teaches how God meets our needs in moments of uncertainty.

Ep. 51 - "The Fear of Failure" John 13:31-14:7, 18:15-27, 21:15-19
One of the greatest fears of our lives is the fear of failure. It is significant because it speaks to our perceived value. Sure, we acknowledge that we need a savior from our sin. But, we live with the constant temptation to measure our worth by what we deem successful, not what God has said about us. This lesson focuses on the profound truth that God expects failure from us without compromising His deep love and desire for our continued growth.

Ep. 50 - "FOMO & The Rich Young Ruler" Matthew 19:16-22, Mark 10:18-30
The fear of missing out is driven by a selfish perspective wrapped around perceived value. The story of the rich young ruler is famous because he was not willing to give up his known comfort, for the unknown of what God offered to him. This story is a cautionary tale for those who are trying to decide between being safe and being godly.

Ep. 49 - "Obedience Part II" - Jonah 1-4
"Obedience" Part II - Jonah 1-4

Ep. 48 - "Obedience Part 1" - Judges 6:11-8:35

Ep. 47 - “Backyard Brawls” 1 John 3:11-24
The most prominent attribute of God is His love. It is characterized by the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. The most prominent attribute of sinful human beings is pride. This is characterized by selfishness and a petty hatred toward anyone who denies it. In this passage of 1 John, we begin to see how God guides His children to live out His character with others even in the midst of conflict. But even more than dealing with the hatefulness of a rebellious generation, we see that God draws his church beyond conflict resolution to intentional, sacrificial love.

Ep. 46 - “Who’s Your Daddy?” 1 John 2:28-3:10
For many people, their gene pool is strong. They carry their parent’s likenesses every day and there is no escaping who they belong to. The same is true for the children of God. They share a hidden likeness that is only seen fully by God. When Christ appears they will be fully seen as He sees them. Their spiritual family tree also has deep roots that keep them stable when there is conflict with the world. This security as a child of God allows His children to see Jesus fulfill His purpose on the earth in defeating sin and setting people free.

Ep. 45 - “Divine Genetics” 1 John 2:3-11
“REACH Young Adult Ministry sermons online from Tuesday, September 1st, 2020 by Philip Jackson, Pastor to Young Adults at Evergreen Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma entitled, “Divine Genetics" from 1st John 2:3-11”

Ep. 44 - “Walking in the Light” 1 John 1:1-2:2
In the mid-to-late first century, the church was bombarded by false teachers who began to teach that what the Disciples had taught was not the full gospel of Jesus. A group who called themselves “Gnostics” (from the Greek word, “gnosis” for knowledge) claimed that they had been given a special understanding about God and were teaching untrained Christians a false gospel. In his first lesson on 1 John, Pastor Philip Jackson teaches what it means to be a child of God and to walk in the light from 1 John 1:1-2:2.

Ep. 43 - "What does it mean to be a good steward of my money?" Matthew 6:19-24
It's payday and you have some cash in your account. But what does the Bible say about how you should spend it? Better yet, what does God's word teach us about stewardship regarding all of our possessions? In this message about money, Pastor Philip Jackson digs into one of the most famous passages of scripture, the Sermon on the Mount and gives a testimony about money in his own life.

Ep. 42 - "What does God’s word say about the difference between listening to emotional needs and controlling my emotions?" Jeremiah 17:5-13
James tells us in his letter that a person who asks God for help in the middle of a trial and then refuses to trust His provision will not receive anything from Him. He aptly describes that person as “double minded” and unstable. As we face challenges during our lives we are confronted with constant waves of emotion as we respond to a sinful world. But how trustworthy are those emotions? Are they a reliable source of truth and guidance? Once again, God’s word speaks truth when worldly wisdom spins us in circles.

Ep. 40 - "How Do I Honor My Parents When they Disagree with God?" Mark 3:20-35
Sometimes there is a natural conflict between parents and their children. Letting go of someone you have been a steward over can be difficult. But what happens when healthy stewardship becomes an unhealthy desire to get in the way of God’s plans in the life of your child? In this lesson from Mark 3:20-35, Pastor Philip Jackson explores Jesus’ reaction as His family comes to force Him to leave His ministry.

Ep. 39 - "How Do I Honor My Parents as an Adult? Luke 2:41-52
Jesus’ life was defined by complete reliance and obedience to the Father. His submission to the Lord did not undermine His earthly parents, but instead He honored them and subjected Himself to their authority until the time was right. This passage shows a willful submission to Mary and Joseph because Jesus understood that God had given Him parents for a reason. Our challenge today is to learn to be like Christ as we submit to the authorities our Father has placed over us.

Ep. 38 - "Hard Things - A testimony about addiction and loss"
On June 9th, 2020 Pastor Philip Jackson lost his younger brother Stephen to a long battle with alcoholism.
Stephen's story is more common than most people of faith will acknowledge publicly. The realities of addiction do not discriminate and they have a profound effect on everyone.
This message contains the lessons Philip learned through his 15 year journey with his brother. It is intended to be an encouragement both to those who are struggling with addiction and those who love them. We hope that this is encouraging to you. There is always hope, and that hope is rooted in Jesus!

Ep. 36 - "Letting Go of What's Good for What's Best" James 5
The final message from James circles back to where he started in chapter 1. We must always be vigilant to not be double minded. He challenges those who have made comfortable living their god and directs the saints to focus on waiting expectantly with an eternal mindset. He challenges them to remember that God is the one who directs our lives and we have no authority to make promises. He finishes by encouraging them to bring their brokenness to the throne and earnestly seek the best for everyone. A transforming life is defined by what we focus on. Are we driven by padding our surroundings to avoid trials, or are we embracing the opportunity to transform with the people around us?

Ep. 35 - "Resistance Training" James 4
Your theology is the most basic thing about you. How you see God will determine how you see the rest of the world. He will not allow us to live arrogant, selfish lives with His divine power. A selfish life is a life with no supernatural presence. God actively works against the proud because they breed destruction in His creation. But He gives grace to those who acknowledge their pride and humble themselves by submitting to His will. A transformed life is one that embraces a lifestyle of humility. As it grows, supernatural power is free to flow through the humble life and glorify the Father. As we experience God’s work through us, He allows us to share in His glory. But to live a double minded life, is to live in sin and against God’s kingdom.

Ep. 34. - "Burned" James 3
The words we use matter. We live in a generation that is intimidated by silence. There is always a new video to watch, post to like, or game to play. The heart of a transformed life understands that the things coming out of our mouth will either bring life or death. Even more so for those who are given influence in God’s kingdom. How they use that influence will come with increased accountability. James teaches us in this chapter the simple truth of Proverbs 18:21, that the words we speak can bring death or life. As such, we should be very careful how we use our mouths. But even more than that, they are a reflection of the heart. The evidence of a transformed life is that it is grieved by words that cut, and encouraged by words that build up.

Ep. 33 - "Dead Men Walking" James 2
A transformed life sees people with compassion. But our world always focuses on the opposite of what God
