I was asked to guest star on Michael Loftus' "Reason and Theology" podcast for the 1P3 segment with Luis Dizon. I gave my own personal testimony on the intellectual arguments and evidences, as well as my methodology, for how I went from Agnostic to Bible-believing Christian.

Some in the Pro-Shroud crowd have mentioned that my previous Panel Review Summary show was too long (4.5 hours) and so I wanted to provide this summarized and condensed 30 min version of the show for people.

Shroud skeptic Hugh Farey joins me to discuss Nicholas Allen's Proto-Photo and Nathan D. Wilson's Shadow image-forming hypotheses. While, Hugh is a Shroud skeptic regarding the Shroud in general, nevertheless he takes a "Pro-Shroud" position with respect to the validity of these two Shroud skeptical mechanisms. Finally, we also briefly discuss Picknett and Prince's absurd notion that the Shroud Man's images were made by Leonardo Davinci.

In this rather long episode (due to updates and corrections in my knowledge), I go over all of the textual and archeological evidence we have for the existence of the Shroud of Turin's images from 30 A.D. to 500 A.D.I assess two Pro-Shroud hypotheses; Ian Wilson's Image of Edessa/Mandylion theory and its use of the Abgar Legend in ancient Edessa and compare that with Jack Markwardt's Image of God Incarnate theory and Jack's notion of the Shroud having been in ancient Antioch for the first 5 centuries. Finally, I also assess the Shroud skeptic's hypothesis that all texts from this period must be referring to something other than Shroud images.

Christian Egyptologist, Dr. David Falk, has chosen to weigh in on the Shroud debate and make a short 20 min video outlining his reasons for thinking the Shroud is a Byzantine painting dating sometime before the 4th Crusade in 1204 A.D. in Constantinople. Interestingly, I was part of his motivation for his doing so and so I take it as my responsibility to refute the 4-5 substantive points he makes as to why the Shroud is not historically authentic as Jesus' burial shroud.

Unfortunately, for the past couple months I have been wrapped up in an Investigation Committee investigating some allegations as to potential spiritual abuses by my former Pastor at my old church, Midland Park. That investigation has now concluded and I wanted to share some generalized and helpful lessons from my own experiences attending that church and what I learned from the investigation process. Atheist and former Church of Christ member David Johnson, along with David Russell, Dr. Tony Costa and Jamie Castro all join me to discuss how we tell the difference between a Bible-believing Pastor and healthy church environment vs. a cult leader in a toxic cult-like gathering masquerading as a church. The truth is not always as clear cut as one might hope and there are often gray zones involved.

Dr. Helmut Felzmann is Pro-Shroud in terms of historicity but believes in a naturalistic gas diffusion theory to explain the Shroud images. He also gives his view that Jesus swooned on the cross was revived by the Essenes and then left for India. He believes that Christianity has been taken over by Paul who differed form the Apostles on Jesus death for our sins and Resurrection from the dead. Alright, well we got one last show in the series Calculus for Christ, this one is the grand finale where I fulfill my promise to go over my method with David J. using a practical example. David chose to evaluate the hypothesis that the God of the Bible is NOT an Omni-God given his assessment of the evidence for and against. In the end, David agrees with me that my Bayes-ish method is a valid way to determine truth even if it is not his own preferred method.

This was the 2 hour After show on S&S where things got a little more chaotic and not everything discussed was relevant to my use of Bayes Theorem, but it was interesting and enlightening nonetheless. Enjoy :)

Alrighty, gear up for your math lesson today, this is the main show of "Calculous for Christ" on the S&S podcast. Join Atheists David Johnson, Darren Lute, Bryan Portier, Andrew Knight and Theists Mak Attack and Tyler Vela (along with my good self) as I go over how to use Bayes Theorem to prove christianity.

This is just a short intro video to the 3.5 hour S&S show I did entitled "Calculus for Christ" whereby I went over how I use Bayes Theorem in determing Christianity is true and/or endorsed by God. I introduce the main video (as well as 2 hour After show) and reveal some minor errors I made in the shows.

In this very very short 20 min summary, I go over my 11 premise argument and what the premises ential without interruption or confusing red herrings. Hope this helps clear things up for those who had confusion based on my fuller and more detailed discussion with David Johnson.

Just wanted to give a quick follow up on two points I failed to raise on the debate with Jordan yesterday; i) Bayes Theorem calculations and prior probabilities and ii) Miracles Healings as Religion Authneticating Events in some contexts like Religious Contests/Power Encounters.

Round 2- I (Dale) take on Jordan, the Atheist host of Reason to Doubt on the topic of miracles. Is it possible to establish the truth of miracle claims and how would one do so? These are the questions that Jordan and I will be tackling.

For the second time, we bring Fr. Jonathan Ivanoff and Pr. Samuel Farag together to participate in a Faith Unaltered ORIGINAL Debate!!! This time the subject is Jesus' very own mother, Mary!!! Things are a little different in this debate however. We will begin by asking both participants questions about their own views of Mary that will be open for discussion cross exam style after after the initial answer. After this we will present texts from Orthodox hymns about Mary and have an open discussion about the meaning of those texts from each perspective! We then wrap up by answering some audience questions and asking both participants to give a closing statement.

Having finished my Panel Review shows dealing with the remaining issues related to the Shroud's history, I now present my own Summary shows giving my own updated take on the issues debated by the experts in my Panel Review shows Parts 4-7.
